Chinese Journal of Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Diseases 2012;30(9):688-690
OBJECTIVEThis thesis will discuss the value of RV(6) > RV(5) of ECG in diagnosis of pneumocardiac disease complicated by left ventricular hypertrophy in coal-workers with pneumoconiosis through the analysis of the ECG characteristics in the postmortem examination of coal-workers with pneumoconiosis.
METHODSThree data groups will be formed on the basis of the ECG data in the case 47 postmortem examination of coal-workers with pneumocardiac disease complicated by left ventricular hypertrophy, and they are right deviation group with ECG cardiac electric axis more than 90 degrees (case 16), no deviation group with ECG cardiac electric axis between 30 degrees and 90 degrees (case 16) and left deviation group with ECG cardiac electric axis between 30 degrees and -30 degrees (case 15). The method that this thesis adopted is to compare the thickness of the right and left ventricle walls of the three groups, their ratio and the detectable ratio of ECG RV(6) > RV(5).
RESULTSThe detectable rate of the thickness of right ventricle front wall, the thickness of the left ventricle wall, the thickness of the left ventricle wall to the thickness of right ventricle wall and ECG RV(6) > RV(5) in left deviation group is obviously higher than those of the no deviation group and right deviation group. The differences between the three groups are of statistics significance (P < 0.01); the detectable rate of the thickness of right ventricle front wall, the thickness of the left ventricle wall, the thickness of the left ventricle wall to the thickness of right ventricle wall and ECG RV(6) > RV(5) in no deviation group is obviously higher than those of the right deviation group. The differences are of statistics significance (P < 0.01). In case 47 that pneumocardiac disease complicated by left ventricular hypertrophy in coal-workers with pneumoconiosis, the ECG shows 20 cases of ECG RV(6) > RV(5). There are altogether 3 kinds of ECG types: (1) 14 cases of ECG RV(6) > RV(5); (2) 4 cases of left ventricular hypertrophy; (3) 2 cases of right ventricular hypertrophy.
CONCLUSIONSThe left deviation of ECG cardiac electric axis and ECG RV(6) > RV(5) can be used as indications to diagnosis of pneumocardiac disease complicated by left ventricular hypertrophy in coal-workers with pneumoconiosis.

Chinese Journal of Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Diseases 2011;29(4):313-315
OBJECTIVETo determine the value of measuring P wave dispersion of ECG in the diagnosis of pulmonary heart disease in patients with coal worker's pneumoconiosis.
METHODS50 patients with stage III and 185 patients with different stages of coal worker's pneumoconiosis were included in the study. Compare the P wave of ECG and investigate nine indexes of P-wave dispersion.
RESULTSThe figure of ECG P wave dispersion was distinct, easy to measure and of high positive incidence. The positive incidence of indexes (P wave voltage > or = 0.22 mV, P wave axis > or = +80 degrees, P1 lead peak angle < or = 70 degrees, P wave elevation speed > or = 0.5 mm/s, PavL inversion, IPIV1 > or = 0.03 mms, Ta wave depressed > or = 0.05 mV, height of PV1 biphasic wave straight sharp corner > 0.07 mV) were 74.00%, 72.00%, 68.00%, 62.00%, 56.00%, 60.00%, 54.00%, 34.00% in 50 cases patients with stage III coal worker's pneumoconiosis, the discrepancy had statistical significance (P < 0.01). The above ECG P wave dispersion indexes was higher with coal worker pneumoconiosis stage, the discrepancy had statistical significance (P < 0.01).
CONCLUSIONSAdopt P wave dispersion as the index of measuring right atrial hypertrophy is beneficial to the early diagnosis of pulmonary heart disease in patients with coal worker's pneumoconiosis.

3.The value of terminal force of P wave in V1 lead in the diagnosis of coal-worker's pneumoconiosis with pulmonary heart disease complicated by left ventricular hypertrophy.
Chinese Journal of Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Diseases 2012;30(1):64-65
OBJECTIVETo determine the value of terminal force of P wave in V1 lead (Ptf-V1) in the diagnosis of coal-workers' pneumoconiosis with pulmonary heart disease complicated by left ventricular hypertrophy.
METHODSSelect the coal-worker with pneumoconiosis postmortem examination cases which were pathologically diagnosed as pulmonary heart disease complicated by left ventricular hypertrophy and can measure Ptf-V1. Select 14 cases with ECG left axis deviation, no deviation and right axis deviation. Measure and analyze the Ptf-V1 value, the thickness of left and right ventricular wall.
RESULTSThere's obvious discrepancy in ventricular wall thickness mean in ECG left axis deviation, no deviation and right axis deviation groups, the discrepancy have statistical significance (F1 = 32.18, P < 0.01, F2 = 8.02, P < 0.01). The left ventricular wall is thicker in ECG left axis deviation group [(1.81 +/- 0.18) cm] than in no deviation [(1.47 +/- 0.15) cm] and right axis deviation groups [(1.39 +/- 0.10) cm], the discrepancy have statistical significance with (P < 0.01). The right ventricular wall is thicker in ECG left axis deviation group [(0.79 +/- 0.14) cm] than in no deviation group [(0.58 +/- 0.14) cm], the discrepancy have statistical significance with (P < 0.01). The right ventricular wall is thicker in ECG right axis deviation group [(0.71 +/- 0.14) cm] than in no deviation group, the discrepancy have statistical significance with (P < 0.05). ECG left axis deviation Ptf-V1 relevance ratio 85.71% is higher than in no deviation (35.70%) and right axis deviation groups (28.57%), the discrepancy have statistical significance with (P < 0.01). The Ptf-V1 absolute value is positively related with left ventricular wall thickness in ECG left axis deviation and no deviation groups (r1 = 0.92, P < 0.01, r2 = 0.93, P < 0.01).
CONCLUSIONPft-V1 absolute value is the criterion index of left ventricular morphosis and function especially left atrium loading change. ECG Ptf-V1 combined with ECG left axis deviation is valuable to the diagnosis of coal-workers with pneumoconiosis complicated by left ventricular hypertrophy.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2013;33(10):871-876
OBJECTIVETo compare the difference of the efficacy on knee osteoarthritis (KOA) between the combined therapy of acupuncture and moxibustion and western medication, and explore the better therapeutic method for KOA.
METHODSOne hundred and sixty patients were divided into a combined therapy group and a western medication group, 80 cases in each one according to the visit sequence, with the random number table adopted. In the combined therapy group, the main points were selected from the local painful sites, combined with the acupoints based on the syndrome differentiation and distal acupoints on the affected meridians. The lifting, thrusting or rotating technique was used and the reinforcing or reducing manipulation was applied according to the syndrome differentiation. "Duanci" or "Shuci" needling technique was used specially at the extra points and Ashi points. The needling sensation relied on the patients' tolerance. After acupuncture, the heat-sensitive moxibustion with pure moxa stick was applied over the local painful sites around knee joint and Shenshu (BL 23) to detect the heat-sensitized points. Acupuncture and moxibustion were given once every day. The treatment of 5 days made 1 session. There were 2 days at the interval between two sessions. In the western medication group, glucosamine sulfate capsules were prescribed for oral administration, 2 capsules each time, three times a day. Additionally, the joint cavity injection was combined. On the first day, sodium hyaluronate 25 mg and triamcinolone acetonide acetate 50 mg were injected. Afterwards, on the 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th days, sodium hyaluronate injection 25 mg was used only. The treatment was for 5 weeks totally in the two groups. The efficacy was analyzed statistically in 5 weeks. The follow-up visit was conducted in 3 months and 6 months after 5 weeks treatment, respectively. The Western Ontario and Mcmaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC) and visual analogue scale (VAS) were adopted to assess the recovery of joint function.
RESULTSThe efficacy in 5 weeks of treatment was different significantly between the two groups (P < 0.05). The efficacy in the western medication group was better than that in the combined therapy group. The difference in the safety assessment was remarkable (P < 0.01). The result in the combined therapy group was superior remarkably to the western medication group. In 3-month follow-up visit after treatment, the knee joint function was not different obviously between the two groups (P > 0.05). In 6-month followup visit after treatment, the knee joint function was different obviously between the two groups (P < 0.01). The result in the combined therapy group was better remarkably than that in the western medication group.
CONCLUSIONThe combined therapy of acupuncture and moxibustion achieves the safe and effective therapeutic effect with less adverse reactions in the treatment of KOA. The immediate effect in the combined therapy group is not so obvious as compared with the western medication, but the long-term efficacy is remarkably superior to western medication.

OBJECTIVETo determine the predicative significance of HRV and HRT to premature beat on patients with coal-worker's pneumoconiosis.
METHODS100 coal-worker's pneumoconiosis patients with premature beat (including 44 cases of occasional ventricular premature contraction and 56 cases of frequent ventricular premature contraction) were chosen as CWP group, and 50 healthy coal workers were chosen as control group. 24 h DCG was used to monitor and analyze the change of premature beat and to calculate HRV. Index: SDNN, SDANN, HFLF, HRT: TO, TS, compare HRV of CWP group and control group and the changes of HRT of both occasional and frequent ventricular premature contraction.
RESULTSThe incidence of CWP at night (66.1%, 37 cases) is higher than that during daytime (33.9%, 19 cases), and the difference is statistically significant with P < 0.05. HRV (SDNN SDANN HF HL) indexes of CWP group are lower than control group, and the difference is statistically significant with P < 0.05. HRV indexes of control group at night are higher than that during daytime, and the difference is statistically significant with P < 0.05. Comparison of CWP group HRV indexes between day and night is statistically insignificant with P > 0.05. Compared with control group, TO of CWP group is higher while TS is lower, and the difference is statistically significant with P < 0.05. Compared with occasional ventricular premature contraction patients in CWP group, TO of frequent ventricular premature contraction patients is higher while TS is lower, and the difference is statistically significant with P < 0.05.
CONCLUSIONFrequent ventricular premature contraction group in CWP group suffer from severe impaired autonomic nervous function injury, and abnormal HRV and HRT can be prognostic indicator of frequent ventricular premature contraction among coal-worker's pneumoconiosis patients.

Acta Physiologica Sinica 2023;75(5):682-690
Metabolic associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) is a liver disease with hepatocyte steatosis caused by metabolic disorders, which is closely related to obesity, diabetes, metabolic dysfunction, and other factors. Its pathological process changes from simple steatosis, liver inflammation to non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), and then leads to liver fibrosis, cirrhosis, and liver cancer. At present, no specific therapeutics are available for treatment of MAFLD targeting its etiology. Celastrol is the main active component of the traditional Chinese medicine Celastrus orbiculatus Thunb. In recent years, it has been found that celastrol shows important medicinal value in regulating lipid metabolism, reducing fat and weight, and protecting liver, and then ameliorates MAFLD. This article reviews the related research progress of celastrol in the prevention and treatment of MAFLD, so as to provide a reference for the comprehensive development and utilization of celastrol.

Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 1956;0(04):-
The growth curves and diet of 185 babies in rural area near Beijing from 6 months to 18 months old have been studied. Infants were divided into 3 groups according to their diet taken:(1) 89 babies had breast milk only;(2) 66 babies took more than 250g animal milk per day besides breast milk;(3) 30 babies who did not have breast milk and only animal milk was taken. All the babies were gradually transferred to an ordinary cereal based diet during the weaning period. To half of them a soybean and cereal based formula fortified with minerals and vitamins was supplied, which would provide 6.6g protein and 141 kcal and some other nutrients per day.The results showed that the growth curves of body weight and height of children were much better than the data obtained in 1975, but still lagged behind that of the urban children, especially for the body weight. The weight curves of the babies who took animal milk seemed higher than the other groups. Female babies who were fed with breast milk and supplemented with the weaning food have a better weight and height curves than non-supplemented ones, but this was not seen in males. The hemoglobin contents of the babies who took animal milk when they were 18 months old were lower than that of the 6 months old, but there were no differences in the breast milk groups, and the lowering of the hemoglobin level in the animal milk groups could be corrected by adding weaning food in the diet. When the babies were 6 months old, 39.3% of them had a hair zinc content below the lower limit of the normal range, and it became to 47.6% when they were 18 months old. So zinc deficiency of the babies were present in this local area, and it should be fortified into the weaning food.
