The purpose of this study was to investigate and analyze the high frequency electrocardiogram (HFECG) for middle-aged and elderly people.138 subjects were chosen in our study. The mean age was 60.38 years.Among them,72.1 per cent were between 50 and 69 years. The results showed that (1) the differences were not significant between male and female groups in the mean number of high frequency notches (HFN).(2) For an increase in high frequency notches in the leads V1 and V2,we should consider the possibility of pathological changes of the anterior medial wall of heart, which was supplied by the dessending rami of the right anterior coronary artery,on the one hand, and it might remind us to pay great attention to posteromedian wall of heart,on the other hand.(3) Looking at all age groups in this study,we preliminarily found that the age peak of ischemic heart disease was between 50 and 70 years, according to the number of high frequency notches in the leads of HFECG.(4) The sensitivity of HFECG for diagnosing ischemic heart disease is 40 per cent higher than that of the conventional ECG.(5) In addition, nine leads were used in this examination, which not only preserved sensitivity of six leads but also could provide a localizing value for the diagnosis of heart disease.

Aim To isolate and characterize the human circulating fibrocytes from human peripheral blood and explore the effects of curcumin on human circulating fi-brocytes.Methods The cells were isolated and puri-fied by density gradient centrifugation, and identified by flow cytometry and immunocytochemistry .Then , CCK-8 and flow cytometry were used to study the effect of curcumin on the proliferation as well as COL I ex-pression of human circulating fibrocytes, respectively. Results After being isolated the cells expressed CD34,CD45 and COLⅠ,among which 79.7% were both CD45 and collagen I positive, typical of human circulating fibrocytes.Curcumin could exert regulatory effects on proliferation of human circulating fibrocytes. Exposure of the cells to curcumin for as short as 24 hours promoted their growth, while prolonged treatment (72 h ) significantly inhibited cell propagation and downregulated the COLⅠ levels, best manifested at a concentration as high as 20 μmol · L-1 .Conclusion The proliferation of cells and COLⅠexpressions can be effectively inhibited by curcumin with the prolonged action period and high concentrations.

Aim To study the effects of glucosides of cheanomeles speciosa(GCS)on the levels of serum antibodies in rats with adjuvant arthritis. Methods SD rats were divided randomly into six groups, including normal, model, GCS(30,60,120 mg?kg-1)and glucosides of tripterygium wifordii(GTW) groups. Complete Freund′s adjuvant was used to induce AA in rats. The level of circulating immune complexes in serum was determined by PEG 6 000 assay, while the levels of anti-CⅡ antibody, and anti-TB antibody in serum were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results GCS(30,60,120 mg?kg-1)and GTW(40 mg?kg-1)were given by intragastric administration for 8 days from the 17 th day after immunization. GCS(60,120 mg?kg-1)reduced the levels of circulating immune complexes, anti-CⅡantibody, and anti-TB antibody in serum in rats with adjuvant arthritis. Conclusions GCS down regulates the levels of serum antibodies in rats with adjuvant arthritis, which may be related to its efficacy in the treatment of rats with AA.

OBJECTIVETo study the efficacy of Viagra combined with behavior therapy against premature ejaculation (PE).
METHODSSixty PE patients were divided into two groups randomly: control group (behavior therapy alone) and the group of Viagra combined with behavior therapy. Intra-vaginal ejaculation latency time (IELT) and the coitus satisfaction of the patient and the partner were recorded before and after treatment.
RESULTSThe IELTs of the two groups were 0.80 +/- 0.20 and 0.73 +/- 0.24 minutes respectively before treatment, and 1.82 +/- 0.54 and 3.63 +/- 0.55 minutes respectively after treatment. As for IELT and satisfaction degree, Viagra produced better result than behavior therapy.
CONCLUSIONDuring this clinical trial, Viagra combined with behavior therapy prolonged IELT, which suggests that Viagra may be helpful for the treatment of premature ejaculation.

A 10-year-old boy presented with a 3-year history of erythematous flat keratotic papules and brown-yellow, nail-like prominent keratotic plaques all over the body surface. Dermatological examination showed verrucous or nail-like prominence over multiple erythematous keratotic plaques on the head, face, trunk and limbs. The lesions, most of which confluenced, were covered with brown-yellow and greasy crusts, and gave a porcupine-like appearance. Skin biopsy of lesions from the back revealed epidermal hyperkeratosis, focal columnar parakeratosis, acanthosis, few acantholytic and dyskeratotic cells in stratum corneum, irregular upward proliferation of dermal papilla cells, and a superficial perivascular lymphocytic infiltration. A diagnosis of ichthyosis hystrix was established based on the histopathological findings. The boy was treated with oral acitretin and topical 0.1% acitretin cream for 8 years. The initial and maximum dose of oral acitretin was 0.5 mg·kg-1·d-1 and 1 mg·kg-1·d-1, respectively. Liver and kidney function, body height and weight were examined during the treatment, and no side effect was observed except for skin xerosis.
