1.THE INFLUENCE OF PH ON GROWTH OF DIFFERENT GENESIS PROMASTIGOTES OF L. DONOVANI
Chinese Journal of Zoonoses 2001;(2):50-52
The Many experiments show that pH affect the growth of romastigotes of L donovani. But the control tests with Acid - base scale have not been reported on the growth of promastigotes from different genesis. This paper reports that pH has different nfluence on several kinds of promastigotes from different genesis. We obseved that the growth of promastigotes of L. doncvani is inhibited when pH is 4.6 and 8.6.

Objective To evaluate the effects of nurse-led team management on self-management and hyperten-sion control for community-dwelling hypertensive patients. Methods A quasi-experimental study design was adopt-ed,two communities were elected as the intervention group and the control group in Wuhou District,Chengdu, and 102 hypertensive patients were recruited from each group. The intervention group received nurse-led team manage-ment for 2 years, and intervention methods included individual management, phone or home follow-up,collective inter-vention and so on. While the control group received doctor-led hypertension management. The patients' self-man-agement behaviors and hypertension control were evaluated before the intervention and 6,12,24 months after the intervention. Results After 24-month nurse-led team management, scores of self-management behaviors and hyper-tension control rate of patients in the intervention group were significantly higher than those of patients in the con-trol group(P<0.05). Conclusion Nurse-led team management could significantly improve self-management behaviors and the rate of hypertension control for hypertensive patients.

Objective:To analyze the surgical methods of operable breast cancer and analyze the follow-up results. Methods:A retrospective analysis of the clinical and pathological data of 636 operable breast cancer patients admitted to Zibo First Hospital from July 2008 to April 2018, including the clinical stage, pathological staging. Analyze of the proportion of four surgical methods, and through follow-up, analyze the treatment effect of different surgical methods. Results:All patients are female, aged 26-80 years, the clinical stage of 636 patients: Tis 18 cases, stage Ⅰ 143 cases, stage Ⅱ 354 cases, stage Ⅲ 114 cases, stage Ⅳ 7 cases. There are four types of surgery: ① breast conserving surgery + sentinel lymph node biopsy in 124 cases (19.50%); ② breast conserving surgery + axillary lymph node dissection in 39 cases (6.13%); ③ mastectomy + sentinel lymph node biopsy in 163 cases (25.63%); ④ modified radical surgery in 310 cases (48.74%). Sentinel lymph node biopsy in 427 cases (67.14%), success in 404 patients (94.61%); all patients with lymph node negative 384 cases (60.38%). Follow-up for 1 to 9 years, 11 cases of local recurrence after breast-conserving surgery, It accounted for 6.75% of breast-conserving surgery; 43 cases of local recurrence of chest wall after mastectomy, accounting for mastectomy 9.09%; 33 cases of recurrence and metastasis of axillary lymph nodes and supraclavicular lymph nodes, 4 cases of axillary recurrence after sentinel lymph node biopsy. Conclusions:The proportion of breast-conserving surgery in this group of patients was high and the local recurrence rate of breast-conserving surgery was less than that of mastectomy group; the proportion of simple modified radical surgery declined further; patients with axillary lymph node metastasis were less in the whole group. The choice of reasonable operation method is an important factor to improve the prognosis of breast cancer.

Nucleos(t)ide analogues (NAs), which are widely used as the first-line anti-hepatitis B virus (HBV) drugs in clinical practice, can effectively inhibit the replication of HBV DNA, significantly slow down disease progression in chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients, and reduce the development of end-stage liver diseases such as liver failure and liver cancer. However, for some CHB patients receiving first-line NAs for 48 weeks or longer, serum HBV DNA is still persistently or intermittently higher than the lower detection of limit of sensitive nucleic acid detection reagents. After discussion by the authors, low-level viremia (LLV) is defined as follows: persistent LLV refers to the condition in which CHB patients, who receive entecavir, tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, or tenofovir alafenamide fumarate for ≥48 weeks, test positive for HBV DNA by two consecutive detections with sensitive quantitative PCR, with an interval of 3-6 months, but have an HBV DNA level of <2000 IU/ml; intermittent LLV refers to the condition in which patients test positive for HBV DNA intermittently by at least three consecutive detections with sensitive quantitative PCR, with an interval of 3-6 months, but have an HBV DNA level of <2000 IU/ml. For the diagnosis of LLV, the issues of poor compliance and drug-resistant mutations should be excluded. LLV might be associated with the increased risk of progression to liver fibrosis or hepatocellular carcinoma in patients with liver cirrhosis under NA treatment, but there are still controversies over whether the original treatment regimen with NAs should be changed after the onset of LLV. This article summarizes the incidence rate of LLV under NA treatment and the influence of LLV on prognosis and analyzes the possible mechanisms of the osnet of LLV, so as to provide a reference for the management of LLV in patients treated with NAs.

AIM: To compare the efficacy of intravitreal injection of ranibizumab(IVR)and intravitreal injection of conbercept(IVC)in children with retinopathy of prematurity(ROP).METHODS: Retrospective study. A total of 1 100 eyes with ROP treated with intravitreal anti-VEGF at our hospital from January 2015 to June 2023 were included. According to the different therapeutic drugs, the children were divided into two groups: IVR group and IVC group. According to the degree of ROP, the patients were divided into three groups: aggressive ROP(A-ROP), Zone Ⅰ type 1 ROP and Zone Ⅱ type 1 ROP. The reactivation and retreatment between the two groups were compared after propensity score matching(PSM)analysis, and they were followed-up for at least 3 mo after surgery.RESULTS: In Zone Ⅱ type 1 ROP, there was a statistically significant difference in the rates of reactivation and retreatment between the IVR and IVC groups(P<0.05); however, in A-ROP and Zone I type 1 ROP, there were no statistically significant differences in the rates of reactivation and retreatment between the two groups(P>0.05). The risk of reactivation and retreatment of Zone I type 1 ROP was higher than the Zone II type 1 ROP. Furthermore, the use of drugs and corrected gestational age of first treatment were influencing factors of lesion recurrence and retreatment.CONCLUSION: There is a significant difference in the initial cure effect between the two drugs in Zone II type 1 ROP, with the reactivation and retreatment rates of the IVC group being much lower than those of the IVR group.
