1.Clinical effect of Bailing capsule on patients after renal transplantation
Journal of Pharmaceutical Practice and Service 2024;42(2):82-85
Objective To study the effect of Bailing capsule on renal function and other organ systems in 60 patients after renal transplantation in No. 910 Hospital of Joint Logistics Support Force. Methods 60 patients with renal allograft in 2018−2020 were divided into 2 groups according to different immunosuppressive regimens. In the control group, 35 cases were treated with MMF + CsA or FK506; in the treatment group, 25 cases were treated with MMF + CsA or FK506 + Bailing capsule. Blood and urine routine, liver and renal function and uric acid were measured after operation. The dosage of immunosuppressive drugs was recorded in stages at 48 weeks. Results The urinary red and white blood cell counts, blood aspartate transaminase and alanine transaminase, serum uric acid, total bilirubin and direct bilirubin in the treatment group were significantly less than those in the control group, while the serum total protein and albumin were significantly higher than those in the control group. The number of red blood cells and white blood cells in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group at 12-48 weeks after kidney transplantation, and that in the lymphocyte group was significantly higher than that in the control group at 24-48 weeks after kidney transplantation. The dosage of CsA and FK506 in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group after 48 weeks. Conclusion Bailing capsule could protect liver and kidney, stimulate hematopoiesis, improve hypoalbuminemia and reduce the dosage of immunosuppressant, which could be an ideal immunomodulator.
2.Analysis of the use for antiviral drugs in the treatment of COVID-19 patients in a Hubei hospital in 2020
Journal of Pharmaceutical Practice and Service 2022;40(6):583-586
Objective To retrospectively analyze the use of antiviral drugs in 1765 patients admitted to a hospital of COVID-19 in Hubei Province, and to provide experience and suggestions for clinical rational drug use. Methods The antiviral drugs used in a hospital in Hubei Province during the treatment of COVID-19 patients from February to April 2020 were analyzed according to the "New Coronary Virus Pneumonia Diagnosis and Treatment Program" recommendated by the National Health Commission. Results Among the 1765 patients, 1114 (63.11%) were treated with antiviral drugs. The top three antiviral drugs were arbidol (981 cases, use rate 55.58%), IFN-α-2b (340 cases, use rate 19.26%) and chloroquine (72 cases, use rate 4.08%) . Among all the antiviral regimens, 636 (57.09%) were treated with arbidol alone, followed by arbidol combined IFN-α-2b 164 (14.72%) , arbidol combined IFN-α-2b 98 (8.8%) , and the top three regimens accounted for 80.61% of all antiviral regimens. According to the COVID-19, IFN-α-2b, Arbidol, and chloroquine had more than 20% of the over-treatment duration, 6 patients used more than 3 antiviral drugs, and 50 patients had not been recommended for hydroxychloroquine. Conclusion The antiviral drugs used for the treatment of patients with COVID-19 in this hospital are basically used rationally under the guidance of the "New Coronary Virus Pneumonia Diagnosis and Treatment Program" continuously updated by the National Health Commission at the same time..

Objective To investigate the constituents and analgesic and anti‐inflammatory effects of leaves essential oil in Schef fleraoctophylla .Methods SOLEO was dilated by water vapor .The mouse acetic acid‐induced twisting test and mouse auricle swelling test induced by xylene were employed to evaluate the anti‐ inflammation and analgesia effects of SOLEO . Results 55 constituents of SOLEO were identified by GC‐MS .The major constituents ,4‐terpenol ,(‐)‐spthulenol ,caryo‐phllene oxide andβ‐linalool with total percent of 51 .86% were found .The twisting number and relieve swollen auricle of mice induced by xylene were significantly reduced by SOLEO .Conclusion SOLEO was the major active components of anti‐inflam‐mation and analgesia .

Kallistatin, which protects organs and cells against inflammation, fibrosis and oxidative stress, is mainly synthesized and secreted in liver. However, its relationship to human liver disease remains unclear. The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between serum kallistatin and clinical evidence of both cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and to determine if serum kallistatin levels could be used as a diagnostic indicator of hepatic health status, especially human liver cirrhosis (LC). Our cohort consisted of 115 patients with clinically proven liver fibrosis (LF), LC, or HCC by liver biopsies, and 31 healthy controls (CON). Serum kallistatin levels were quantified by ELISA. Results of the present study demonstrated that irrespective of the underlying etiology, serum kallistatin levels were significantly lower in the LF/LC group when compared with the CON group. A decrease in serum kallistatin levels appeared to reflect the extent of cirrhosis, with the lowest levels associated with higher grades of cirrhosis. Patients with LC had a noticeable correlation between serum kallistatin levels and other serum biochemical indicators. The area under the curve (AUC) for LC, viral liver cirrhosis (VLC) and alcoholic liver cirrhosis (ALC) was 0.845, 0.757 and 0.931, respectively. In conclusion, our findings demonstrated that kallistatin, a plasma protein produced by the liver, can be a useful and reliable diagnostic indicator of hepatic health status, especially for LC.
