China Medical Equipment 2014;(5):77-78,79
Objective: Establishment of information system can contribute to the integration of resources and process optimization of the hospital, so that it can reduce operating costs and improve service quality, work efficiency and the management level. It is helpful to realize the digital hospital and is the new trend of modern medical development. Methods: Information systems using C/S and B/S mode with full module function. The navigation is clear, flexible and easy to use;which have reserved for special interface data platform for easy to expand. Results:Through the implementation of information systems to solve a single asset management tools, please collar complex, information isolated, accounting information lag and other issues, to improve efficiency of hospital equipment and patient satisfaction guarantee, to achieve a transparent, integration, dynamic, precise management of hospital assets. Conclusion: The system realizes quality and safety control to the assets of whole process, specialization and informatization. The system adapts to the real service of hospital asset management, to meet the requirements of asset information management in the hospital.

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2024;36(3):185-188
Objective:
To investigate the relationship between total homocysteine (tHcy) levels and sarcopenia among the elderly, so as to provide insights into the prevention and treatment of sarcopenia.
Methods:
The elderly aged 65 years and older who participated in the physical examination of Shibantan Township Health Center in Xindu District, Chengdu City from April to June 2021 was selected as the study subjects. The elderly with sarcopenia (diagnosed according to the diagnostic criteria of the Asian Sarcopenia Working Group in 2019) and non-sarcopenia were matched 1︰1 by gender and age (±2 years). Demographic information, skeletal muscle mass, skeletal muscle strength and tHcy were collected through questionnaire surveys, physical examination and laboratory testing. Multivariable conditional logistic regression model was used to explore the relationship between tHcy and sarcopenia.
Results:
A total of 320 individuals, including 160 sarcopenia patients and 160 non-sarcopenia individuals, were investigated. There were 138 males (43.13%) and 182 females (56.87%), with a median age of 71.00 (interquartile range, 6.00) years. There were 57 drinkers (17.81%), 78 smokers (24.37%), 173 cases of hypertension (54.06%) and 124 cases of hyperhomocysteinemia (38.80%). Multivariable conditional logistic regression analysis showed that elevated tHcy was associated with an increased risk of sarcopenia (OR=1.107, 95%CI: 1.024-1.197), after adjusting for smoking, alcohol consumption, hypertension, waist circumference, neck circumference, body mass index, platelet count and high density lipoprotein cholesterol.
Conclusion
Elevated tHcy is associated with sarcopenia, and intervention should be carried out for the elderly with higher tHcy.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(13):-
Objective To evaluate the clinical effect and influential factors of intrauterine device (IUD) after insertion under B-type ultrasound guidance. Methods A total of 434 healthy women of childbearing potential, aged for 18 to 40 years were enrolled. After IUD insertion under ultrasound guidance, the uterine profile was observed during the procedure and the patients’ biological characteristic was recorded and gynecologic examiation was performed at month 1, 3, 6, 12, 18 during following up. All data were analyzed with SPSS software. Results There was no accident in operation. In 18 months after IUD insertion, the pregnancy rate with IUD was 1.94%,the expulsion rate was 4.59% and the removal rate was 5.54%. The risk factors of expulsion were the history with cesarean delivery and artificial abortion plus IUD insertion (P

OBJECTIVETo explore the risk factors for mesothelioma so as to provide epidemiological evidences for prevention of this disease and for further study of its pathogenesis.
METHODSA 1:1 paired case-control study was carried out in which asbestos exposure, life style and histories of cancer in first-degree relatives of 23 patients who had mesothelioma were compared with those of controls.
RESULTSThe mean age of patients was 57.96 years with a latency period of 52 years. There were no significant differences in mean exposure age, mean exposure periods, and smoking, drinking habits between patients and controls. The mean cumulative exposure of patients was 37.2 x 10(5) f, which was significantly higher than that of controls (32.3 x 10(5) f, P = 0.005). The odds ratio increased with the cumulative exposure. The percentage of cancer in first-degree relative of patients (26.1%) was significantly higher than that of controls [(4.4%, P < 0.05), OR = 7.75 (95% CI: 0.85-71.43)].
CONCLUSIONThere may be a dose-response relationship between mesothelioma and asbestos exposure. A family history of cancer may be a risk factor for mesothelioma, or may indicate an increased susceptibility to mesothelioma under the same level of asbestos exposure.
