Objective: To revise the Griffith Mental Development Scales and establish the norm being suited to the Chinese local conditions. Methods: The standardized sample consisted of 2022 children aged 0 to 7 years old was collected in a stratified and random way according to city rank, age, sex, paternal occupations. Each subject was tested individually and filled in a form. Results: The total sample had better representation. The mean of GQ was about 100, and the distribution of GQ is normal. Item analysis indicated that the item difficulty was about 0.5 and discrimination was from 0.62 to 0.78. A few orders of items were revised. The scorer reliability was 0.953. The test-retest reliability was 0.948. The correlation coefficients were 0.481 to 0.854 among the sub-scales or between sub-scales and General DQ. The result of exploratory factor analysis had three factors. The ratio of variance was 79.8%.Conclusion:Griffith Mental Development Scales have ideal reliability and validity.

Intravenous and intratracheal implantation of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) may offer ameliorating effects on pulmonary hypertension (PH) induced by monocrotaline (MCT) in rats. The aim of this study was to examine the anti-remodeling effect of intravenous MSCs (VMSCs) and intratracheal MSCs (TMSCs) in rats with PH, and the underlying mechanisms. MSCs were isolated from rat bone marrow and cultured. PH was induced in rats by intraperitoneal injection of MCT. One week after MCT administration, the rats were divided into 3 groups in terms of different treatments: VMSCs group (intravenous injection of MSCs), TMSCs group (intratracheal injection of MSCs), PH group (no treatment given). Those receiving saline instead of MCT served as negative control (control group). Pulmonary arterial structure was pathologically observed, pulmonary arterial dynamics measured, and remodeling-associated cytokines Smad2 and Smad3 detected in the lungs, three weeks after MCT injection. The results showed that PH group versus control group had higher pulmonary arterial pressure (PAP) and wall thickness index (WTI) 21 days after MCT treatment. The expression of phosphorylated (p)-Smad2 and the ratio of p-Smad2/Smad2 were much higher in PH group than in control group. Fluorescence-labeled MSCs were extensively distributed in rats' lungs in VMSCs and TMSCs groups 3 and 14 days after transplantation, but not found in the media of the pulmonary artery. WTI and PAP were significantly lower in both VMSCs and TMSCs groups than in PH group three weeks after MCT injection. The p-Smad2 expression and the ratio of p-Smad2/Smad2 were obviously reduced in VMSCs and TMSCs groups as compared with those in PH group. In conclusion, both intravenous and intratracheal transplantation of MSCs can attenuate PAP and pulmonary artery remodeling in MCT-induced PH rats, which may be associated with the early suppression of Smad2 phosphorylation via paracrine pathways.

Under the"Internet +" era, some medical staff' s treatment philosophy cannot adapt to the current situation, and patients are prone to produce high expectations because of inadequate basic medical knowledge and the habit of acquiring medical information from Internet. However, when the difference between reality and expec-tations are large, they might be in disputes with medical staffs, and coupled with the lag of hospital management, the doctor-patient communication often is not smooth situation. Therefore, it is recommended that medical staffs improve humanistic quality meanwhile improving technology, patients should develop the habit of acquiring medical information from Internet correctly, hospital needs to optimize management and allocate medical resource reasona-bly, and society should also create positive atmosphere.

Objectives:Quantitative flow ratio(QFR)is a coronary angiography-derived functional test without the need of guidewire use.Fractional flow reserve(FFR)is used as the reference standard to verify the diagnostic value of QFR in patients with non-ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndrome(NSTE-ACS)with coronary critical lesion(40%-70%stenosis)and functional stenosis. Methods:This retrospective analysis included patients with NSTE-ACS who were admitted to Fuwai Central China Cardiovascular Hospital from June 1,2018 to February 1,2023 and underwent coronary FFR examination.QFR values of target vessels were analyzed offline by AngioPlus(Shanghai Pulsation Medical Imaging Technology Co.,LTD.),the second-generation QFR detector, and anatomical parameters of the diseased vessels were recorded as follows:minimal luminal diameter(MLD),percent diameter stenosis(DS%),minimal luminal area(MLA),percent area stenosis(AS%).Functional coronary artery stenosis is defined as FFR≤0.80. Results:Using FFR as the gold standard, the AUC values of contrast-flow QFR(cQFR)and fixed-flow QFR(fQFR)for identifying functional coronary artery stenosis in NSTE-ACS patients were 0.829(95%CI:0.773-0.885,P<0.001)and 0.821(95%CI:0.766-0.875,P<0.001),respectively.The diagnostic accuracy, sensitivity and specificity of cQFR and fQFR were 81.30%,56.00%,98.63%and 76.83%,59.00%,99.04%,respectively.DeLong test showed that diagnostic performance of cQFR was significantly better than fQFR in diagnosing functional stenosis of coronary critical lesions in patients with NSTE-ACS. Conclusions:With FFR as the gold standard,QFR(especially cQFR)has certain diagnostic value in patients with NSTE-ACS with functional stenosis of coronary critical lesions.
