Nanomaterials appear to be promising for a number of applications in in-vitro diagnostics, mainly due to the biocompatibility, specific surface and conduction activity. The use of nanostructures as diagnostic tools has the advantage of very low limit of detection achievable, high sensitivity, strong selectivity and the possibility to fabricate point-of-care diagnostic devices. With the problems of nanotechnology solved, nanomaterials had already put a broad impact in the field of clinical medical examination.

Objective To examine the impact of academic pressure,self-esteem,and their interactive effect on student burnout. Methods A total of 1 497 middle school students were investigated with three questionnaires. Results The scores of academic pressure,self-esteem,exhaustion,cynicism,efficacy were 9.95 ± 4.52,21.90±5.04,11.84±4.05,10.84±4.88,20.60±5.47 respectively. Results indicated that the main effects of academic pressure and self-esteem on student bumout were significant.Specifically, academic pressure affected exhaustion (β =0.467,P<0.01) and efficacy (β=0.134,P<0.05) ; self-esteem affected cynicism (β=0.588,P<0.01) and efficacy (β=0.549,P<0.01).Self-esteem moderated the impact of academic pressure on student burnout(β=-0.216,P<0.01).The impact of academic pressure on student burnout became lower when their self-esteem grows.Self-esteem moderated the impacts of academic pressure on exhaustion and efficacy, but the moderate effect of selfesteem on the influence of academic pressure on efficacy was very small and could be neglected. Conclusion Academic pressure,self-esteem affect student burnout, and self-esteem moderate the influence of academic pressure on student burnout negatively.

Aim To investigate the expressions of Fas/FasL and apoptosis of pulmonary tissue as well as oxygen free radical in the pulmonary fibrosis induced by bleomycin in rats at inflammation stage and fibrosis stage. Methods Forty-eight rats were divided into three groups randomly, including control group, model group and breviscapine group. On experimental day 0,the rats were intratracheally instilled with bleomycin, and then treated with breviscapine 10 mg?kg-1?d-1 until they were killed. On days 7,28 after stillation, eight rats of each group were killed and the lungs were harvested for examination.Flow cytomagnetometry was used to detect the changes of cell apoptosis and the expressions of Fas/Fasl in rats with pulmonary fibrosis caused by bleomycin at flammation stage and fibrosis stage.Malonaldehyde and hydroxyproline(HYP)of lung tissue were detected by TAB method. Results The apoptosis index of lung cells in the pulmonary fibrosis group was higher than that of control and breviscapine group. The expression of Fas/FasL and contents of Malonaldehyde as well as hydroxyproline in the pulmonary fibrosis group were higher than those of control group and breviscapine group(P

Objective:To summarize the 10 year clinical experience of treating tibiafibular fractures with rectangle shaped intramedullary nails(RIN). Methods:From January 1987 to December 1996, 4 682 cases (3 278 male and 1 404 female) of tibiafibular fractures from 9 hospitals were treated with RIN . Three kinds of reduction methods including open reduction, semi open reduction and closed reduction were used during operation. Results:Results showed 2 173 cases (62.89%) got excellent result, 947 got good (27.40%), 214 got moderate (6.19%), 121 got poor (3.50%). The total healing rate was 90.29%. Conclusion:RIN has excellent biological characteristics which can provide a flexible interfixation when treating tibiafibular fractures, and the operation is simple, it also can be used for severe open fractures. RIN is one of the good techniques in treating tibiafibular fractures.

Objective To analyze the clinical characteristics and follow-up data of catheter ablation of recurrent atrial tachycardias (ATs) after Mini-Maze surgery, and to explore prognostic factors for recurrence. Methods 59 patients in Guangdong General Hospital with ATs post Mini-Maze and concomitant open-heart surgery from April.2010 to June.2015 were included.According to high density precise mapping, activation mapping, voltage mapping and entrainment mapping, they underwent electrophysiological study and ablation which was guided by three-dimensional mapping system. All patients were followed up regularly. We explored the prognostic factors for recurrence by the Cox regression analysis. Results There were 88 types of ATs being mappedwith mean (1.49 ± 0.75) types of ATs identified per case. Most ATs were macro-reentry ATs(67/88,76.1%)and focal ATs (20/88,22.7%),respectively.56 patients (94.9%) achieved immediate ablation success. In a mean follow-up of (30.8 ± 17.7) months, recurrences were observed in 12 patients after the first time catheter ablation.Recurrent time was 3.5 (1.3,12.0) months and the overall ablation success rate was 74.6% (44/59).6 patients received second ablation and the achievement of freedom from arrhythmias reached 79.7% (47/59).Multivariate analysis showed that the LA diameter was the independent predictor for recurrence (HR 1.108,95% CI 1.002 to 1.226,P =0.045).Conclusion Catheter ablation of ATs post Mini-Maze with concomitant surgery is save and feasible.LA diameter is the independent predictor for recurrence.

Objective:
To study the effect of a space stabilizing device on the capacity for osteogenesis in the bone-grafted area.
Methods:
Patients with anterior teeth defects as well as labial alveolar ridge defects were randomly divided into two groups: the experimental group was treated using a space stabilization device after guided bone regeneration whereas the control group received regular guided bone regeneration. The CBCT data was analyzed prior to, immediately and 6 months after procedure to compare the osteogenesis with or without the device.
Results:
Seventeen bone-grafted sites were examined(7 in the experimental group and 10 in the control group). At 2 mm and 4 mm below the alveolar ridge, the horizontal bone resorption rate in the experimental group was significantly lower than the corresponding level in the control group(P=0.001). The horizontal bone resorption rate at 2 mm below the alveolar ridge of each group was significantly higher than that at 4 mm below the alveolar ridge in corresponding groups(P=0.003).
Conclusion
The space stabilizing device used in this study has a positive clinical impact on preserving space stability and minimizing bone resorption.

A fundamental challenge that arises in biomedicine is the need to characterize compounds in a relevant cellular context in order to reveal potential on-target or off-target effects. Recently, the fast accumulation of gene transcriptional profiling data provides us an unprecedented opportunity to explore the protein targets of chemical compounds from the perspective of cell transcriptomics and RNA biology. Here, we propose a novel Siamese spectral-based graph convolutional network (SSGCN) model for inferring the protein targets of chemical compounds from gene transcriptional profiles. Although the gene signature of a compound perturbation only provides indirect clues of the interacting targets, and the biological networks under different experiment conditions further complicate the situation, the SSGCN model was successfully trained to learn from known compound-target pairs by uncovering the hidden correlations between compound perturbation profiles and gene knockdown profiles. On a benchmark set and a large time-split validation dataset, the model achieved higher target inference accuracy as compared to previous methods such as Connectivity Map. Further experimental validations of prediction results highlight the practical usefulness of SSGCN in either inferring the interacting targets of compound, or reversely, in finding novel inhibitors of a given target of interest.
