1.Conservative treatment of tubal pregnancy using mifepristone and laparoscopy
Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2001;0(02):-
Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of oral administration of mifepristone combined with laparoscopy for tubal pregnancy. Methods A total of 64 patients were freely divided into two groups: the Study Group(n=32) and the Control Group(n=32).The Study Group was given 150 mg mifepristone 24 h before laparoscopy and the Control Group was not given mifepristone. Results The intraoperative hemorrhage volume and the operation time were 232.0?170.6 ml and 35.2?5.8 min in the Study Group and 391.9?239.2 ml and 40.8?6.1 min in the Control Group, respectively, with significant differences between the two groups((P
2.Combined application of transvagina sonography, hysteroscopy and pathologic examination for diagnosing abnormal uterine bleeding
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2006;0(04):-
Objective To evaluate hysteroscopy, transvaginal sonography and pathologic examination in the diagnosis of abnormal uterine bleeding(AUB).Methods 64 patients that preliminary diagnosesed of AUB from October 2003 to June 2005 were retrospectively analyzed. Results 22 cases were reported by transvaginal sonography as abnormal endometrium. As to hysteroscopy,62 cases were diagnosed.63 cases were reported abnormal by pathologic examination. Conclusion The hysteroscopy combined with Transvaginal sonography, tissue pathological examination of localizational endometrial biopsy or endometrial curettage can improve the accuracy of diagnosis of endometrial disease.

Objective To report the clinical effects of a 3D-printed metal drilling template used in surgery for complex upper cervical disorders. Methods Between August 2015 and June 2017,5 patients with upper cervical disorder complicated with complex cranial cervical junction deformity underwent instrumentation and fusion. They were 4 males and one female, aged from 3 to 36 years. All the patients underwent thin slice CT scan before operation. The CT image data were imported into a computer workstation for three dimensional reconstruction of individualized models of the upper cervical spine on which individualized drilling templates were designed.Guided by each of the individualized metal drilling templates manufactured by 3D printing, surgery via the posterior approach was performed in 2 cases and surgery via the combined anterior and posterior approach in 3 cases. After surgery, the screw trajectory was evaluated by CT scan. Results Surgery succeeded in all the 5 patients.A total of 5 pedicle screws and 5 laminar screws were drilled.Postoperative CT scan showed accurate placement of all the 10 screws. The patients recovered with no neurovascular complications. Conclusion Since an individualized 3D-printed metal drilling template can improve the accuracy and safety of screw placement,it can reduce surgical risks and enhance surgical success in the surgery for complex upper cervical disorders.

The current interdisciplinary research on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) often comes from the simple combination of TCM application needs and mature engineering technology. Actually, higher goal of cross-disciplinary research should be the win-win development of TCM and interdisciplinary majors. In detail, to enhance the innovative development of original thinking mode of TCM, meanwhile, to stimulate the innovation of interdisciplinary majors with medical tasks. Previously, we successfully performed the research on the objective representation of pre-disease and disease state of dyslipidemia in population with phlegm-dampness constitution. Taking this project as an example, this paper discusses the methodology on scientific issue positioning, key medical tasks selection, interdisciplinary theory, and technology exploration, to expounds the research design and ideas which could be generalized in other cross-disciplinary research of TCM.
