2.Research of hypoxia-inducible factor in tumor angiogenesis
Journal of International Oncology 2013;(6):416-418
Hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF) is an important transcriptional factor, which plays crucial role in response to hypoxia.HIF is highly expressed in many human cancers, and it is closely related to tumor angiogenesis.HIF promotes tumor growth, invasion and metastasis via up-regulating vascular endothelial growth factor gene and starting associated angiogenesis. With the in-depth study of HIF regulation of tumor angiogenesis mechanism,HIF is expected to become an important target for anti-angiogenesis therapy.
3.Clinicopathological characteristics and treatment of stomach neoplasms with liver metastasis
Journal of International Oncology 2013;(4):290-293
Gastric cancer can spread to the liver through hematogenous metastasis, lymphatic metastasis and serosal invasion of primary tumor. The occurrence of gastric cancer with liver metastasis is only second to the occurrence of peritoneal metastasis.Liver metastasis is one of the main distant metastasis of gastric cancer, and is a major cause of cancer-related death. The treatment of gastric cancer with liver metastasis still remains controversial. The optimal treatment strategies should be based on the clinicopathological characteristics of each patients and evidence-based medicine, and the individualized plan should be set through multidisciplinary team discussions. Before the more results of prospective studies released, multidisciplinary treatment is the main method, and the appropriate patients should be cautiously choosed for surgery.

Objective To analyse the causes of non-union and delayed union in distal femur and assess the clinical outcomes of retrograde intramedullary interlocking nail(RIIN). Methods Between June 1995 and December 1998, 15 cases of non-union and delayed union of distal femur were treated with RIIN. There were 9 males and 6 females, the average age of the patients was 34.5 years(range 23 to 46 years). At surgery, the failed implants were removed in all 15 cases, bone graft was performed in 10 cases, closed reaming was done in 5 cases. 11 patients also received knee adhesion release operation. The X-ray examination and KSS knee functional score were used to evaluate the results. Results The average duration of follow-up was 14.5 months. All patients achieved solid bone union at an average of 6.4 months. There were no malunion, infection and refracture in this series. According to the KSS rating system, the average range of motion(ROM) was 93.5 degrees, increased by 28 degrees(42.7% ) compared with the preoperation ROM. The average knee score was 96 points. The excellent result was obtained in 13 cases, good in 2 cases. The average knee function score was 90.5 points. Conclusion The main reasons for non-union and delayed union were improper selection of the indications and use of implants. Retrograde intramedullary interlocking nail is one of the effective alteratives for treatment of distal femur non-union and delayed union. It can provide a stable and reliable fixation which is of benefit for early functional exercise. Bone grafting, closed reaming technique and knee joint adhesion release should be considered in order to enhance the bone healing and the improvement of knee ROM and function.

International Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2006;0(01):-
Objective To observe the differences and glucose level in plasma and serum under the current experimental condition, and the influence of the time of blood sample on detecting results. Methods The glucose level measuring was used by glucose oxidase method. Thirty blood samples from healthy physical examination were collected and with anticogulated EDTA or heprin. Results The glucose level was 0.1-0.3mmol/L higher in immediate centrifugal serum than that in plasma.Bathing the samples in 37℃ for 1h, the glucose level in serum decreased 0.9-1.1 mmol/L, and decreased 0.5 -0.7 mmol/L in plasma. Bathing the samples in 37℃ 2h later, it decreased 1.3-1.5 mmol/L in serum, and decreased 0.7-0.9 mmol/L in plasma. Placing samples in room temperature for 1h, the glucose level decreased 0.3-0.6 mmol/L in serum, and 0.2-0.3 mmol/L in plasma. For 1h in room temperature and then in 37℃ for 1h, the glucose level decreased 0.6-1.2 mmol/L in serum, and 0.3-0.7 mmol/L in plasma. Placing samples in room temperature for 2h and then in 37℃ 1h, the glucose level decreased 1.4-1.8 mmol/L in serum, and 0.7-1.1 mmol/L in plasma. Placing samples in room temperature for 3h, the glucose level decreased 0.9-1.3 mmol/L in serum, and decreased 0.8-1.0 mmol/L in plasma.Placing the centrifugal samples in 37℃ 1h, the glucose level decreased 0.5-0.6 mmol/L in serum. If placing the centrifugal samples mixed with heparin in room temperature for 1h, it only decreased 0.08mmol/L in plasma. The glucose level in immediate centrifugal samples treated with separation gel increased 0.2mmol/L than that in samples which placed in room temperature for 15min. So the changes of glucose level in blood samples revealed absolute value decreased in the course of placement. Conclusion Both the immediate centrifugal heprin-anticogulated plasma and separation gel treated serum can truly indicate the blood glucose level individually.
