Chinese Journal of Nephrology 2005;0(08):-
Objective To evaluate the feacibility of microalbumin(MA),alpha-1 -raicroglobulin (?1-MG) ,N-acetyl-beta-D-glucosaminidase (NAG), retinol-binding protein (RBP)as predictors of outcome in critically ill patients. Methods A prospective study was underwent in 30 critically ill patients.Urinary samples were collected at ICU admission and on the third, seventh ICU day for MA,?1-MG,NAG,RBP measurement. The severity of illness was assessed by APACHE II score calculated on the first ICU day,and the degree of organ dysfunction was assessed using SOFA score calculated on the first, third, seventh ICU day. Results MA,?1-MG,the durations of ICU stay and mechanical ventilation,APACHE II score, SOFA score were relative factors of MODS and death in ICU. There was significant association of APACHE II with MA (r=0.397),?1-MG (r=0.448), and RBP (r= 0.465), respectively. The area under ROC curve of APACHE II score,SOFA score,MA,?1-MG, RBP,NAG to predicate the death in ICU were 0.875 ( P

Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 1956;0(04):-
Mice were fed basic diet or basic diet plus vitamin E 50 mg or 500 mg per kg of diet for 4 weeks. The animals were killed at 6 or 14 days after one exposure to 400 rad X-ray whole body radiation and the number of lymphocytes of spleen and thymus and blastogenic responses of splenocytes were tested. The results showed; (1) the number of lymphocytes both in spleen and thymus were significantly decreased in mice fed basic diet in com-parision with that in mice fed with basic diet plus vitamin E (P

The leucoanthocyantin reducase (LAR) gene, an important functional gene of catechins biosynthesis pathway, was cloned from Fagopyrum dibotrys (D.Don) Hara by degenerate PCR and rapid amplification of cDNA ends (RACE). The full-length cDNA of FdLAR is 1 581 bp (GenBank accession: JN793953), containing a 1 176 bp ORF encoding a 391 amino acids protein, and its 3'-untranslated region has an obvious polyadenylation signal. The recombinant plasmid containing FdLAR completed ORF was transformed into E. coli BL21 (DE3). The target fusion peptide with molecular weight of 66 kD was expressed under the condition of 16 degrees C and induced by IPTG at final concentration of 1.0 mmol x L(-1). Bioinformation analysis indicated that the amino acid sequence of FdLAR showed great homology to other LAR with the NADB-Rossmann conversed domain in the N-terminus. Real-time quantitative PCR was used to detect the expression levels of FdLAR gene during different development periods. The determination of flavonoids contents in appropriate rhizomes showed that the relationship between FdLAR gene expression and the accumulation of flavonoids displayed different trends during vegetative growth and reproductive growth stages, suggesting that the FdLAR gene may be involved in the pathway of flavonoid metabolisms in Fagopyrum dibotrys.

Survivin gene is the strongest inhibitor of apoptosis so far.Recently,it was found that the promoter polymorphism of survivin gene is closely related to risk of cancer and genetic susceptibility. This finding might provide clues for further elucidation of the correlation of risk of cancer and genetic polymorphism, and for diagnosis, prevention and screening of cancer gene.

Journal of International Oncology 2011;38(11):836-838
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) regulate target genes expression in the post-transcriptional levels. There are many kinds of differential expressions of miRNA in head and neck cancer, and the miRNA participate in a series of important biological processes such as cell development, proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis and etc.miRNAs is expected to become an effective means for the diagnosis and treatment of head and neck cancer.

The good cooperation between the operating room nurses and anesthesiologists is benefitial to improving working efficiency and can make the patients uneventful during operating period. As an anesthesiologist, the author taught the basic anesthesia knowledge such as the commonly used anesthesia methods, the prevention and treatment of complications and gave advice to the nurses of the nursing trainning group. The cooperations before anesthesia, during anesthesia, after anesthesia were analyzed and the significance of nursing cooperation with anesthesiologist was discussed.

Objective To investigate the effect of ropivacaine combined with dexanmethasone sprayed intratracheally in patients with resistant tubes and postoperative sore throat. Methods Eighty patients ASA Ⅰ-Ⅱ grade undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy were randomly divided into four groups by random digits tabel method,20 patients in each.2 ml of 0.75% ropivacaine combined with 1 ml dexamethasone (group A) ; 2 ml of 0.75% ropivacaine combined with 1 ml 0.9% sodium (group B) ; 3 ml of 1% tetracaine (group C); 3 ml of 0.9% sodium (group D) were immediately intratracheal sprayed before intubation. The resistant tubes and degree of postoperative 24 h sore throat [by visual analog scale (VAS) scores],comfort [by Bruggrmann comfort scale (BCS) scores] and the incidence of sore throat were recorded. Results The resistant tubes appraised rate in group A,B and C was higher than that in group D [65.0% (13/20),60.0% (12/20),70.0% (14/20) vs.5.0% (1/20)] (P < 0.05),but there was no significant difference among group A,B and C (P> 0.05).The incidence of sore throat at 24 h after surgery in group A,B and C was lower than that in group D [20.0%(4/20),25.0% (5/20),25.0% (5/20) vs.90.0% (18/20)] (P < 0.05),but there was no significant difference among group A,B and C (P> 0.05).The VAS and BCS scores in group A were better than those in group B,C and D [(0.52 ± 1.14) scores vs.(1.68 ± 1.42),(1.59 ± 1.33),(4.22 ± 1.95) scores,(2.80 ± 1.54) scores vs.(1.60 ± 1.19),(1.80 ± 1.20) and (0.45 ± 0.81) scores] (P < 0.05),but there were no significant differences between group B and group C (P > 0.05).Conclusion Ropivacaine combined with dexamethasone sprayedintratracheally can significantly increase the degree of postoperative resistant tubes, decrease the rate of sore throat after general anesthesia, and increase patient' s comfort.

International Journal of Surgery 2010;37(11):774-777
Livin is a new and important member of the inhibitor of apoptosis protein(IAPs)family.Livin is high expressed in most human tumor cells, involved in apoptosis inhibition and closely related with tumor development and progression.Studies found that through the down-regulation or inhibition of Livin expression and the induction specific antibodies of Livin could inhibi and kill tumor cells, which provided a new method for tumors'diagnosis, cell and gene targeted therapy.
