1.Analysis of relative risk factors of patients with diabetic foot ulcer combined with peripheral arterial disease

Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics and risk factors of peripheral arterial disease(PAD)in patients with diabetic foot ulcer(DFU).Methods Two hundred and eleven hospital patients with DFU were enrolled and divided into is chemic ulcer (IU) group (136 patients,with PAD) and non-IU group(75 patients,without PAD).The clinical characteristics were retrospectively analyzed.Results Single factor analysis showed that age,the course of diabetes mellitus,smoking,accompanied with coronary artery disease,the course of DFU,triacylglycerol,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol,fasting plasma glucose (FPG),post-prandial 2 h blood glucose,apaprotein(Apo)A1 and ApoB,glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c),systolic blood pressure,C-reactive protein were risk factors (P <0.01 or <0.05).Multiple factors Logistic regression showed that age(OR =0.983,P =0.006),accompanied with coronary artery disease(OR =4.800,P=0.001),FPG (OR =1.153,P=0.001),HbA1c (OR =0.798,P=0.001) were important risk factors of DFU.Conclusions The degree of lesion in DFU combined with PAD is more seriously and associated disease are more.Age,accompanied with coronary artery disease,FPG,HbA1c are the important risk factors of DFU combined with PAD.
2.Developing Drug Counseling Service in Psychiatry Hospital: Experience and Analysis

OBJECTIVE: To offer guidance for psychiatric patients about rational drug use and improve patient's compliance.METHODS: Clinical pharmacists answered the questions encountered by patients during medication process by means of face-to-face talk with patients or their relatives and telephone inquiry.RESULTS: Patients' drug counseling in psychiatry department covered wide range,much as in the aspects of drug interactions and adverse drug reactions.Due to medication consultation service,patient's consciousness of rational drug use had been improved and some medication errors had been avoided,clinical pharmacists' professional knowledge has been enriched and clinical pharmacy has been enhanced and developed.CONCLUSION: The medication consultation service developed in psychiatric department is of positive practical significance in promoting rational drug use and improving clinical efficacy.

Objective To study the effec of nursing intervention on the quality of life in convalescent schizophrenia patients. Method 80 patients with schizophrenia were divided into observed group (n=40) and control group (n=40).The patients in observe group received nursing intervention.Patients were evaluated by Positive and Negative Symptoms Scale (PANSS) and General Quality of Life Inventory (GQOLI) at the time of beginning the trial and after half of a year of the intervention respectively. 4.Nosocomial Infection in Clinical Immunology Laboratory:Risk Factors and Control Strategies

OBJECTIVE To explore the risk factors and control strategies of nosocomial infection in clinical immunology laboratory.METHODS The positive detection rates of HBV marker and antibodies to HAV,HCV,HEV,HIV,TP,and TB in total of 91 877 samples in clinical immunology laboratory during Jul 2004 and Jul 2005 were retrospectively surveyed and statistically analyzed.RESULTS The number of positive specimens of HBV marker and antibodies to HAV,HCV,HEV,HIV,TP,and TB were respectively 8 376,7,26,24,107,3,522,and 52 and the positive detection rates of these items were respectively 16.68%,0.43%,0.20%,2.22%,6.49%,0.03%,4.75%,and 4.61%.CONCLUSIONS It is very important to understand the infection sources and risk factors in clinical immunology laboratory in order to strengthen management of hospital infection and protection of occupational exposure.
5.Expression of erbB4 and PTEN in cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma tissue

Objecfive To investigate the expression of erbB4 and PTEN in cutaneous squarnous cell carcinoma(SCC)tissue and their significance.Methods Immunohistochemical Elivision method was used to measure the protein expression of erbB4 and PTEN in tissue specimens from 52 patients with SCC (11 cases with and 41 cases without lymph node metastasis)and 10 normal human controls.Results The positivity rate of erbB4 was significantly higher in the patients with SCC than in the normal human controls (75%vs.10%,x2=12.77,P<0.01),and in the patients with lymph node metastasis than in those without (100%vs.68.29%,P<0.05).Significant differences were also observed in the expression rate of PTEN between the patients with SCC and the normal controls (48.08%vs.100%,x2=9.20,P<0.01),between the patients with well-differentiated SCC and those with poody differentiated SCC(78.57%vs.36.84%,P<0.05),and between the patients with lymph node metastasis and those without (9.09%vs.58.54%,P<0.01).The expression of erbB4 was negatively correlated with that of PTEN (r=-0.42.P<0.01).Conclusion The disturbalice in mutual regulation between erbB4 and FIEN seems to be involved in the initiation.progression and metastasis of SCC.
6.Genetic Polymorphisms of 26 Y-STR Loci in Fujian She Nationality and Its Forensic Application

Objective To study the forensic application of G oldeneyeTM D N A ID 26Y K it in the She na-tionality. Methods Through capillary electrophoresis, the genotype of 26 Y-STR loci were analyzed in 53 unrelated m ale individuals from Fujian She nationality. The population genetics param eters such as allele frequency and haplotype diversity were calculated. The com parisons am ong the She nationality and the other nationalities were analyzed. Results A total of 126 alleles were observed on the 26 Y-STR loci of 53 unrelated m ale individuals. The allele frequencies and G D value ranged from 0.010 1 to 0.886 8 and 0.211 2 to 0.846 2, respectively. The G D value w as greater than 0.5 in the 19 loci. A total of 47 hap-lotypes were observed. B ased on RST, m ultidim ensional scaling plot indicated that the genetic relationship am ong Fujian She nationality and M innan H an nationality w as closest, follow ed by Southern C hina H an nationality and N orthern C hina nationality. Conclusion G oldeneyeTM D N A ID 26Y K it including 26 Y-STR loci has good polym orphism in the She nationality. A s an additional system , it has forensic appli-cation value in som e special cases.
7.The effects of murine cytomegalovirus on the maturation, fertilization, cleavage and blastula formation of mouse oocytes in vitro.

To study the effects of mouse cytomegalovirus (MCMV) on the in vitro maturation, fertilization, cleavage and blastula formation of mouse oocytes, the immature oocytes were infected in vitro by MCMVs of different dosages (100 TCID(50), 10 TCID(50) and 1 TCID(50)). The oocytes were then observed for in vitro maturation, fertilization, cleavage and blastula formation and the ultrastructural changes after the culture with the viruses. Our results showed that no significant differences were found in IVM, IVF, cleavage and blastula formation among the groups treated with of virus of various dosages. And ultrastructural abnormality was observed in the oocytes treated by 100 TCID(50) of viruses. It is concluded that MCMV did not have any conspicuous effects on IVM, IVF, cleavage and blastula formation of murine immature oocytes.

8.Clinical characteristics and prevention of myopia in children

Objectives:To study the clinical characteristics of myopia in children and the measures to prevent it. Methods:748 patients with myopia were analyzed by refraction examination. Results:By the classification of the causes of myopia, the simple myopia constitutes the majority. By the degrees of the disease, the number of mild myopia was the first and moderate myopia was the second. By the patterns,the amount of compound myopic astigmatism was the majority. The correction of simple myopia or mild and moderate myopia was the most effective way. Of the patients(4~14 years), the age of 12 years had the highest myopia rate. Conclusions:To pay great attention to the prevention works of myopia in grade school years. Correcting refraction exactly and on time is an effective method to slow down the progression of myopia in children.

Objective To investigate and analyze the examination and acceptance results for coalburning-borne endemic fluorosis control and elimination in Hubei Province.Methods A county-level selfinspection and a provincial-level spot-check were conducted to investigate the status of improved-stove usage,the situation of correctly drying corn and chili,and the dental fluorosis prevalence among children aged 8 to 12 in 501 historic coal-burning-borne endemic fluorosis villages of 6 counties (cities) in Hubei Province from 2012 to 2014.The endemic areas were selected according to the Control Standards of Endemic Fluorosis in Endemic Areas (GB 17017-2010) and Eliminating Standards of Coal-burning Type Endemic Fluorosis.Results The results of county-level inspection showed that the qualified rates of improved stoves,the correct-usage rates of qualified stoves,and the correctly drying rates of corn and chili were all higher than 98% in targeted villages,and the prevalence rate of dental fluorosis of children was 7.73% (2 319/30 003).The results of provincial-level recheck were more than 99% and 8.25% (353/4 277),respectively.The results of county-level inspection were of good consistency with those of provincial-level recheck (88.89%,48/54).Five counties (cities) but one had met the standard of fluorosis control or elimination.Conclusion Coal-burning-borne endemic fluorosis scope in Hubei Province is narrowed greatly and the prevalence rates are decreased significantly.
10.The relationship between Streptococcus pneumoniae biofilm formation and antibiotic resistance

Objective Streptococcus pneumoniae can form biofilms .The aim of this study was to investigate the biofilm forma-tion of Streptococcus pneumoniae and the relationship with antibiotic resistance of penicillin etc . Methods A total of 147 clinical iso-lates of Streptococcus pneumoniae were collected from 7 teaching hospitals in Nanjing from 2010 to 2012.Minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) of penicillin, erythromycin, cefuroxime and ceftriaxone were determined by agar dilution method .Streptococcus pneumoniae with various penicillin MIC was selected randomly as follow:MIC≤0.065μg/mL, 0.5μg/mL, 2μg/mL and≥4μg/mL, which was incuba-ted to form biofilms in 96-well plates and 24-well plates for 24 hours.The A values at 570 nm was measured and the biofilm was observed through confocal laser scanning microscope ( CLSM) . Results The biofilm semi-quantitative detection and CLSM both displayed that all strains formed biofilms.The A value of the group which penicillin MIC was ≤0.065μg/mL (0.228 ±0.063) was higher than the 0.5μg/mL group (0.200 ±0.061) and the≥4μg/mL group (0.186 ±0.050) (P<0.05) , and there was no difference among the groups which penicillin MIC were 0.5μg/mL, 2μg/mL and≥4μg/mL, respectively (P>0.05).The A value of the group which erythromycin MIC was ≤0.5μg/mL (0.211 ±0.068) was higher than the ≥4μg/mL group (0.201 ±0.052) (P>0.05).The A value of the group sensitive to cefuroxime (0.216 ±0.062) was higher than the group resistant to cefuroxime (0.196 ±0.054) (P<0.05). Conclusion Streptococcus pneumoniae can form biofilms .Streptococcus pneumoniae with high antibiotics MIC has a trend of weakened biofilm formation .
