Objective: To investigate the correlation between gastric acid pH value of patients with acid-related gastric diseases and the score of their life events. Methods: To evaluate the LES (life event scale) of the 108 patients with acid-related diseases were divided into 3 groups according their cluster of gastric acid pH value, group one pH 1.3 (n=37), group two pH 1.6~1.7(n=32), group three pH 2.1~4.5(n=39). Results: The LES total score and factor scores increased with the gastric acid level, the total score of the three groups were 40.0?20.6, 15.1?9.2, 6.4?6.5 respectively, the differences among the three groups were significant (F=43.26,P

[Objective] To study synergistic effect and decreasing toxicity of Sarcandra Glabra essential oils (SGE) on H22 and S180 bearing mice treated with cytoxan (CTX).[Method] Transplanting H22 and S180 mice tumor models were established to observe the tumor inhibiting rate when SGE was used in combination with CTX by two different routes of administration. While the inhibition effects of SGE in decreasing blood platelet, leukocyte and hemoglobin induced by CTX were also detected.[Result] SGE has anti-tumor and synergy effect when combined with CTX on H22 and S180 bearing mice. The H22 and S180 tumor inhibiting rates of CTX (10mg?kg-1 or 15mg?kg-1) combined with SGE (36.6mg?kg-1) by iv.were increased compared with using CTX alone (P

[Objective] To observe the effect of HQSM on PGI_2/TXA_2 in blood plasma of acute myocardial ischemia rats caused by injecting pituitrin. [Methods] 84 SD rats were divided into seven groups at random: normal control group, model control group, three HQSM groups(210mg/kg,150mg/kg,105mg/kg),Huangqi Shengmaiyin and DI’ao Xinxuekang. Intragastric administration was adopted once a day for 30 days.Acute myocardial ischemia model rat was established by injecting pituitrin from tail vein 1h after the last administration, and blood plasma was separated to be determined the activity of 6-Keto-PGF_ 1? and TXB_2, which is the metabolite of PGI_2 and TXA_2 in blood plasma of SD rats. [Results] Having been injected pituitrin, the activity of TXB2 upgraded while 6-Keto-PGF_ 1? /TXB_2 decreased(P

Objective To evaluate the individuality of patients with primary angle-closure glaucoma and discuss the relation between individuality and glaucoma. Design Questionnaire. Participants 99 patients with primary angle-closure glaucoma and 99 healthy people. Methods Questionnaire were performed with Self-rations Anxiety seal: TH means "Time and Hurry", CH means"Competition and Hostility" and L means "Lit". The questionnaires were compartmentalizied with the scoring of TH+CH and statistical analysis; Score 50-28 means Type A behavior, 27 means Type X behavior, 26-1 means Type B behavior. Main Outcome Measures CH, TH, CH+TH. Results The quantity of primary angle-closure glaucoma in type A behavior group was 49 (64.5%), while the quantity of healthy people was 32 (36.8%). There was obvious difference between two groups (P=0.001). The scoring of TH, CH and TH+CH of primary angle-closure glaucoma patients were higher obviously than those of the healthy one (P

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1982;0(03):-
Anthrax is a fatal infectious disease of human and livestock and is caused by Bacillus anthracis. To establish a simple and specific assay for the clinical diagnosis of B. Anthracis infection, two oligonucleotide primers specific for the cap region of plasmid pXO2 and two specific for the pag region of plasmid pXO1 were designed and synthesised for polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The fluorescence dye SYBR Green I incorporated into the double strands was used to quantitate, and the specificity of PCR product was confirmed by the melting curve. The results showed that 0.8?mol/L primers and 3.0mmol/L Mg 2+ were optimal for this quantitative PCR assay. The sensitivity of this assay was 10 3 copies per millitier B. anthracis could be specifically distinguished from other B. cereus group of bacteria. with this assay. SYBR Green I real-time PCR appeared to be a rapid, accurate and specific methad for quantitative analysis of B. anthracis.

Objective To investigate whether vitamin B complex supplements would reduce stroke-related disabili-ty in hyperhomocysteinemia (Hhcy) patients with recent ischemic stroke. Methods One thousand patients with brain infarc-tion and Hhcy were assigned to receive either a daily dose of vitamin B complex (treatment group, n=500) or not (control group, n=500) on the base of conventional secondary prevention medications for a period of 2 years. The neurological dys-function was assessed by National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and stroke disability was evaluated by Barthel Index (BI) score. High performance liquid chromatographic method with fluorescence detection was used for the determina-tion of total plasma homocysteine levels. After 2 years of follow-up, the patients in the treatment group, whose tHcy level was reduced by 3-μmol/L or more, was defined as the treatment subgroup. Results The homocysteine levels were significantly reduced after 3, 12 and 24-month treatment than those of control group (P<0.05). A lower NIHSS scale was found at 12, 18 and 24-month in treatment group compared with that in control group (P<0.05), no significant differences at other time points between two groups (P>0.05). For the BI score, there were no significant differences at any time points between two groups (P>0.05). After 2 years of vitamin B complex supplementation, there were lower NIHSS scale and higher BI scale in treatment subgroup than those of control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The lower level of tHcy induced by vitamin B inter-vention may be beneficial to the improvement of neurological deficit in patients with ischemic stroke.

Objective To establish a rapid specific quantitative assay for Bacillus anthracis detection. Methods According to the principle of complex probe quantitative assay, the primers and quantitative probes targeted at chromatosome DNA rpoB were designed and applied to detect Bacillus anthracis. The influence factor of quantitative PCR were determined. Results The optimal system of this method was aquired: the length of quenching probe is 15mer,the ratio of fluorescent probe to quenching probe is 1/2 and the concentrtion of Mg 2+ is 3 mmol/L.The sensitivity of this assay for Bacillus anthracis is 10 3 copies. It can distinguish Bacillus anthracis from other closely related Bacillus. Conclusion The method can rapidly quantitatively detect the Bacillus anthracis with high sensitivity and specificity, it can be applied to clinical diagnosis.

Objective To explore the relationship between the aerocyst continual inflation and clocked deflation and ventilator-associated pneumonia. Methods 60 ICU hospitalized adult patients treated with tracheotomy or trachea canalization for above 24 hours were randomly divided into the tzadi-tional group and the experimental group with 30 patients in each group. After trachea canalization success-fully according to the nursing standard, the experimental group was treated with aerocyst continual inflation, the traditional group gased the ventilator and recorded the time, deflating the gas every 4 hours and inflating again after 5 minutes. The inflation time, nurse management and MOV(minimal occlusive volume)of the two groups were the same. The chest X-rays examination and deep sputum bacilli culture were implemented 12 hours after admission, before pulling out the ventilator and transferring out of ICU to evaluate the inci-dence of ventilator-associated pneumonia according to the infection diagnosis standard. Results The rate of ventilator-associated pneumonia in the experimental group was obviously lower than that of the tradition-al group. Conclusions The rate of ventilator-associated pneumonia reduces obviously in the ICU trachea canalization patients with aerocyst continual inflation.
