1.STUDY ON THE REACTION OF CHITOSAN WITH CARRAGEENAN IN SOLUTION AND THE CHARACTERISTCS OF THE COMPLEX
Chinese Journal of Marine Drugs 1994;0(01):-
Solutions of chitosan and carrageenan were co-reacted under various experimental conditions to form water-insoluble precipitates. DR. spectroscopic studies and the counter -ions analyses revealed that the combination of the polyions proceeded through the electrostatic interaction between the - NH+3 of chitosan and the - SO3 of carrageenan, and the mole retios of N/S in the poly-electrolyte complexes (PEC) thus prepared have large scope depending on pH, the degree of deacetyla-tion (DD) of chitosan as well as the mixin ratio of the complexing components. The observation of the PEC by scanning electron microscopy showed that there exist fibrous structures in some PEC depending on such reactive conditions as pH, DD of chitosan related with the charge densities of chitosan chains. The solubility of PEC, which is greatly affected by the DD of chitosans, and the blood compatibility have also been studied.

Chinese Journal of Nosocomiology 2006;0(08):-
OBJECTIVE To summarize and analyze of various consequences caused by clinical vacuum blood sampling. METHODS The data taken from 4000 cases after with vacuum blood sampling were analyzed. RESULTS The unqualified rate of vacuum blood sampling apparatus was 0.1%. There were 12 defect blood sampling cases, and there was no puncture hurt, and infection. CONCLUSIONS Internationally standardized vacuum blood sampling is safe and reliable. A strict guideline applied in vacuum blood sampling is able to control medical cross infections.
3.Livin gene in cancer diagnosis and treatment
Journal of International Oncology 2011;38(1):15-17
Livin, a novel human inhibitor of apoptosis protein family member, participates in the regulation of apoptosis through inhibition of caspases and activation of mitogen activated protein kinase ( MAPK )and other pathways. Livin is over-expressed in many tumors and plays an important role in the initiation and development of tumor, providing a promising new field of cancer research.

Chinese Journal of Pharmacology and Toxicology 2016;30(12):1301-1311
The incidence and its growth rate of hypertension are both very high. Its pathology and pathogenesis are complex and unclear, and it does serious harm to human health. Hypertension remains incurable. Chemical medicine has good effect on hypertension, but life-long application and multi-drug combination are required, with significant adverse reactions. Also, complications can′t be effectively alleviated. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)guided by traditional theories, can lower blood pressure, improve metabolic abnormalities and reduce complications. Its advantages or potentials have not been fully exploited and clinical application is inadequate. Metabolic hypertension has become the main form of hypertension, and its formation mechanism is mainly related to metabolic abnormalities and insulin resistance, metabolic inflammation and other pathology and pathogenesis. A better understanding of the current status of antihypertensive pharmacology of TCM,especially devel?opment and application of metabolic hypertension models is of great significance for TCM treatment of hypertension, and for exploration of new approaches to hypertension.

OBJECTIVE:To observe the association between the ER expression and the sensitivity of TC chemotherapy in locally advanced breast cancer patients.METHODS:The expression of ER in 57 locally advanced breast cancer patients was detected by EnVision method, and the sensitivity to TC chemotherapy in ER negative(-)vs.ER positive(+)patients were evaluated.RESULTS:There were significant differences between the ER negative(-)patients and the ER positive(+)patients in the sensitivity to TC chemotherapy(86.36%(19/22)vs.60.00%(21/35))(P

Chinese Journal of Clinical Nutrition 2016;24(4):226-229
Objective To evaluate the accuracy of prediction equations in calculating energy expenditure in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).Methods In 75 elderly T2DM patients hospitalized in our hospital between August 2014 and August 2015,the resting energy expenditure (REE)measured with indirect calorimetry was compared with those calculated with six different prediction equations.Statistical analysis was performed with paired t-test,the percentage of individual coincidence, and BlandAltman method. Results The measured REE of the patients was (1 513.2 ± 240.6) kcal/d.There were statistically significant differences between the measured REE and the values predicted with Harris-Benedict,Owen,Mifflin,and Liu equations (all P < 0.05),while no statistically significant differences were observed between the measured REE and the values predicted with FAO/WHO/UNU and Schofield equations (both P >0.05).FAO/WHO/UNU equation showed the smallest average difference from the measured value (-18.9 kcal/d),but the 95% consistency limit (-363.3 kcal/d,325.5 kcal/d) was still beyond the acceptable clinical range. Conclusion The accuracy of prediction equations in estimating REE in elderly patients with T2DM may be dissatisfactory.

BACKGROUND:Erythropoietin and progenitor cel transplantation both have therapeutic effects on lower extremity arterial occlusive disease.
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the erythropoietin modification effect and magnetic resonance imaging feasibility of superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO)-labeled endothelial progenitor cel s in vitro.
METHODS:Rat bone marrow-derived endothelial progenitor cel s at logarithmic growth phase were randomized into four groups:endothelial progenitor cel group, SPIO labeled transfection group (pcDNA3-EPO transfection fol owed by SPIO labeling), SPIO labeled empty vector group (empty plasmid transfection fol owed by SPIO labeling), and SPIO labeling group (only SPIO labeling). 4.7T MRI was used to observe SPIO-labeled endothelial progenitor cel s. Cel proliferation, cel cycle distribution, and expression of erythropoietin protein in the four groups were measured.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:MRI findings showed with the increasing cel number, gradual y lowered signal intensity on T1-weighted imaging (T1WI), T2WI and T2*WI was seen, and the reduction in the signal intensity was the maximum on T2*WI sequence and the minimum on T1WI sequence. For T1WI, T2WI and T2*WI sequences, the minimum number of cel s was 2×104, 1×104 and 0.5×104, respectively. Cel proliferation and cel cycle distribution showed no significant difference among three SPIO labeling groups. In addition, the expression of erythropoietin protein was only found in the SPIO-labeled transfection group. These findings showed that under SPIO labeling, erythropoietin gene-modified endothelial progenitor cel s show no changes in cel proliferation and cel cycle, and the 4.7T MR is capable of imaging SPIO-labeled erythropoietin gene-modified endothelial progenitor cel s in vitro.

Clinical Medicine of China 2009;25(8):858-860
Objective To evaluate the effects of pelvic autonomic nerve preservation(PANP) on urinary and sexual functions in postoperative patients with radical resection for rectal cancer. Methods The radical resection of rectal cancer was carried out in 256 cases of patients with rectal cancer in our hospital from January 2002 to August 2008.Patients were divided into study group (n=156) with PANP and control group (n=100) without PANP.The preserved functions of automatic micturition, male erection, ejaculation, the change of female orgasm, and local recurrence of tumor were observed in the two groups. Results The preserved functions of urination, male erection, ejaculation and female sexual orgasm in study group were significantly stronger than those in control group (P<0.01),and there Was no significant difference of local recurrence of tumors between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions The radical operation with PANP for rectal cancer can improve postoperative micturition and sexual function, and this method does not increase local tumor recurrence after operation.
