Objective:To study the effectiveness of Loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP) in the diagnosis and management of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN). Methods: 155 patients with CIN were diagnosed by cervical biopsy under colposcopy. All cases were treated with LEEP and the operative time, bleeding volume, cervical biopsy results before and after LEEP were evaluated, and the effects and cervical regeneration were followed up. Results: The mean operative time of LEEP was 6. 8 minutes. The mean bleeding volume was 9.6m1. Pathological diagnosis of CINI CIN Ⅱ CIN Ⅲ after LEEP were positively correlated to directed biopsy by colposcopy. The correlation coefficient was 0.785 ( P < 0.01). The cure rate of LEEP was 98.6%. Among the 151 cases, 134 (88. 7%) were satisfactory cervical regeneration. Conclusions: LEEP is one of the effective and safe methods for the diagnosis and treatment of CIN.

Objective To observe the changes of AGEs,NO and eyesight in patients with diabetic retinopathy(DR) treated by Aminoguanidine(AG) combined with Doxium. Methods 120 patients with DR were divided into treatment and control groups at random. Two groups were treated routinely with general treatment on DM and the treatment group was added routine dose of aminoguanidine(AG) and Doxium while the control group were treated with urokinasel. After 8 weeks,AGEs,NO and eyesight were determined. Results The level of NO and eyesight in treatment group were higher markedly than control group,AGEs in treatment group were lower most markedly than control group. Conclusion Aminoguanidine and Doxium can improve DR effectively.

Purpose To investigate the expression of Axin, β-catenin and p53 in the pleural fluid and to discuss their relationships and significances. Methods The expression of Axin, β-catenin and p53 was detected using immunocytochemistry in adenocarinoma cells of the pleural fluid from 40 patients with primary lung adenocarcinomas or reactive mesothelial cells of the pleural fluid from 40 pa-tients with benign lung diseases. Results Axin positive expression rate was 30% (12/40) in cases with primary lung adenocarcino-mas. The positive expression rate of β-catenin was 15% (6/40) on cell membrane and 60%(24/40) in cytoplasm. The expression rate of p53 was 57. 5% (23/40) in cases of primary lung adenocarcinomas. The expression of Axin was positively correlated with the membranous expression of β-catenin, and negatively correlated with p53 in cancer cells of the pleural fluids. The positive expression rate of Axin was 77. 5% (31/40), but the expression rate of p53 was 1. 25% (5/40). There was no expression ofβ-catenin in reac-tive mesothelial cells from benign lung diseases. Conclusions The expression of Axin is significantly reduced in adenocarcinoma cells. The expression rate ofβ-catenin in cytoplasm is higher than that in membrane of cancer cells. It has a certain value to detect the expression of Axin,β-catenin and p53 for diagnosis and differential diagnosis of lung adenocaicinomas from benign lung diseases.

Objective To investigate the impact of preload fasting and meal replacement in patients with metabolic syndrome. Methods A total of 92 subjects with metabolic syndrome were enrolled in the study. They were assigned into the preload fasting group (PFG),the meal replacement group (MRG),and the control group (CG) for 12-weeks intervention.Special dietary with 100 kcal was provided 30 min before each meal in the PFG,and while in the MRG the same dietary was taken just before each meal and the amount of meal was reduced appropriately. The subjects in CG took meals as usual.Body mass index, waist circumference, and insulin resistance were assessed.Satiety situation was investigated by the scale. Results After 12 weeks, improvement were found in fasting insulin(-3.29 mU/L) and waist circumference (-4.04 cm) in the PFG and significant difference was shown compared to the CG (P<0.05).Satiety index in the PFG was the most significant among the three group. Conclusion Preload fasting is helpful in improving insulin resistance, reducing waist circumference, and enhancing satiety.

OBJECTIVETo compare the hemostatic effect of Flos Sophorae in crude, parched and carbonized forms and its extracts, including rutin, quercetin and tannin.
METHODSAll the testing samples were orally administered to the experimental animals for 5 days, then the bleeding time (BT), coagulation time (CT), platelet count and capillary permeability (CP) in the treated mice were tested, and the prothrombin time (PT), fibrinogen (FBG) content and platelet aggregation rate (PAR) in the treated rats were determined.
RESULTSAll the samples could lower the CP, BT and CT in mice and also decrease the plasma PT in rats. All three forms of Flos Sophorae could increase FBG in rats, while the three extracts of it could inhibit the PAR in rats obviously. In addition, rutin had the effect of raising the platelet count.
CONCLUSIONAll the three forms and three extracts of Flos Sophorae have hemostatic effect, the effect of parched and carbonized form is higher than that of crude drug. The mechanism of the hemostatic effect of the six kinds of sample might be various.
