Objectives Using the theory and method of feedforward control management to control the blind spot of nursing safety of preoperative fasting time for children,so that the actual preoperative fasting time for children is close to the standard preoperative fasting time.Methods We established preoperative fasting nursing procedure according to feedforward control based on reasons for common long preoperative fasting time of infants facing expected operation from September 2005 to September 2006.Children facing expected operation were divided into the experimental group(66 cases)and the control group(58 cases).They adopted preoperative fasting nursing procedure after feedforward control and the traditional nursing procedure respectively.Preoperative fasting time between the two groups was compared and analyzed.Results There was significant difference about the preoperative fasting time between the two groups,P＜0.01.The actual preoperative fasting time for infants in the experimental group was close to the standard fasting time.Conclusions Using preoperative fasting nursing procedure with feedforward control,the blind spot of nursing can be partially emilinated,and the actual preoperative fasting time for infants is close to the standard.

Objective To investigate the surgical patients' needs of community nursing services and actual utilization within one week of out hospital. Methods Sampled 257 adults surgical patients from certain general hospital, interviewed them by self-designed queostionnair to know their needs of community nursing services and actual utilization within one week after out of hospital. Results There were 96% pa-tients required community nursing services at the point of discharge. The content of services needs included dise ases cares, health teaching and prevention services. Different moded of community nursing cares were required. The actual utilization rate within one week was 16.5%, there were 54.5% and 63.6% of patients received wound care and medication administration separately, which were mainly provided by center visit. Conclusions There is a contradiction between the needs and actual utilization of com-munity nursing services. It is meaningful to enhance the utilization rate, extend the content and perfect the modes of community nursing services so as to satisfy discharged surgical patients' needs.

A microprocedure for the simultaneous determination of retinol and alpha-tocopherol in 100 ?l human plasma by reversed phase high pressure liquid chromatography without precolumn is detailed in this paper. A solvent system of methanol/water (96:4) provides clear separation of these two fat soluble vitamins. The chromatogram is complete in 12 min. The retinol and al-pha-tocopherol are quantitated by the peak height ratio and weight ratio method using retinyl acetate as an internal standard. The coefficient of variation of ten determinations is less than 5%. The mean recovery of four different concentrations of retinol and alpha-tocopherol are 102.2110.3% and 95.8?9.9% respectively. This microprocedure should be useful for assessment of the nutritional status of these two vitamins and might help to elucidate the relationship between them.

Objective　In order to explore the effect of 13-cis isotretinoin on androgen receptor in acneic patients and provide the theoretical basis for acne treatment. Methods　Radiological binding assay (RBA) was used to study the specific AR binding capacities between the experimental group and the control group before and after taking medicine. The serum testosterone level was measured with radioimmunoassay. Results　 16 weeks after taking medicine, the AR level in the acne patients decreased significantly compared with that before taking 13-cis RA (P＜0.05)，but the affinity change was not found, the testosterone levels did not evidently change either. Conclusion　The 13-cis RA can decrease the levels of AR and depress the hyperplasia of sebaceoous glands.

Objective This study was aimed to determine the expression of matrix metalloproteinase-11 ( MMP-11 ) and MMP-12 in cervical cancer and the relationship between their expression with clinicopathological characteristics and the potential use as a prognostic and therapeutic agent.Methods Streptavidin-biotin-protein-linked peroxidase method(ie,SP) immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of MMP-11,MMP-12 in 20 cases of normal cervical tissue,36 cases of CIN tissue,g0 cases of cervical cancer.MMP-11 and 12 expression in cervical cancer and clinicopathological parameters of relevance were analyzed,and the relationship between MMP-1 1,-12 was studied in the development of cervical cancer for a preliminary study.Results The positive expression rate (82.50％,g1.25％ )of MMP-11 and-12 in cervical cancer was significantly higher than that of cervical dysplasia ( CIN ) specimens ( 69.44％,61.11％ ) and normal cervical tissues(5.00％,0),the difference was statistically significant ( P ＜0.05).(2)The expression of MMP-11 and-12 in cervical histological grade,clinical depth of stromal infiltration,with or without vascular invasion,with or without lymph stage,node metastasis was different.The difference was statistically significant ( P ＜0.05).(3)MMP-11 and-12 expression was significantly correlated.Conclusions The expression of MMP-11and-12 in cervical cancer tissues prompts that MMP-11 and-12 plays a central role in the course of invasion and metastasis of cervical carcinoma.MMP-11 and-12 joint detection may have a reference value in terms of the inchoate diagnosis of the cervical cancer,the evaluation and prognosis of tumor malignances degree.

Objective To understand the kinds and content of antibiotic used in the toothpaste selling in China. Methods 10 kinds of toothpaste samples labelled to be able to prevent and/or cure some oral diseases were collected from the supermarkets, the contents of antibiotic were determined by HPLC after selected by disk diffusion susceptibility test. Results Norfloxacin was detected in one kind of toothpaste collected from several supermarkets, the content was 0.06%. Metronidazole was detected in two kinds of toothpaste, the contents were 0.01% and 0.37% respectively, no tinidazole was detected in all samples. Conclusion Some antibiotic in common use have been detected in some toothpaste sold in supermarkets in China.

OBJECTIVE: To build information repository of the carrying rate of neonatal deafness gene in Shijiazhuang. METHOD: Blood samples were collected from the heel in 3-days neonates. Mutations of the deafness related genes were detected by the method of fluorescent PCR. Neonates received the detection of 6 mutation sites from 3 genes, including GJB2 (235delC, 299-300delAT), SLC26A4 (IVS7-2A> G, 2168A> G), mitochondrial DNA12S rRNA(1494C>T,1555A>G). RESULT: There were 384 neonates who carried mutations among 421 subjects and the carrying rate was 4.08%, 158 (1.68%) newborns carried heterozygous mutations and 1 (0.01%) case carried homogeneous mutation of GJB2 (235 delC), 55 (0.58%) neonates carried heterozygous mutations of GJB2 (299-300delAT); 133 (1.41%) neonates carried heterozygous mutations and 1 (0.01%) homogeneous of SLC26A4(IVS7-2A>G),19 (0.20%) newborns carried heterozygous mutations of SLC26A4 (2168A>G). The numbers of neonates who carried homogeneous and heterogeneous mutation of mitochondrial 12S rRNA gene were 14 and 3 with carring rates of 0.15% and 0.03%. Two newborns were found to carry more than one mutation. One carried 235delC, IVS7-2A>G and 1555A>G and another carried 235delC and IVS7-2A>G. CONCLUSION The main mutational patterns were 235delC from GJB2 gene and IVS7-2A>G from SLC26A4 gene in Shijiazhuang newborns. The carrying rate information repository of neonatal deafness gene has been built preliminarily.

Objective To investigate the change of emotion and striatum dopamine transporter(DAT) expression in adult male rats experiencing maternal deprivation, and to explore whether DNA methylation is involved in the regulatory mechanism of DAT expression. Methods Newborn rats were randomly divided into 2 groups: a maternal separation group (n=16) and a control group (n=14). The maternal deprivation group were separated from their mother for 6 hours (09∶00-15∶00) per day from postnatal day 1 to 14, while the controls (n=14) without the deprivation. When the rats in the 2 groups were 12 week, their spontaneous anxiety levels and exploratory ability in novel environments were assessed by an elevated plus maze and an open field test. DAT mRNA expression in the striatum was detected by reverse transcription-PCR, and its DNA methylation level was measured by bisulfated DNA sequencing. Results Maternally-deprived rats showed lower ability of exploring in a new environment and lower levels of anxiety than the controls. The expression of DAT mRNA in the striatum of the maternal separation group (0.236±0.043) was significantly lower than that in the control group (0.480±0.107) (P＜0.05). However the DNA methylation level in the promoter region of DAT was not significantly different between the 2 groups. Conclusion Maternal deprivation influenced the emotion and expression of dopamine transporter in adult rats and DNA methylation may not be involved.

As to evaluating the medical compliance of patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB) and the influence factors, information of 163 patients with CHB treated with lamivudine were collected by using the self-designed questionnaire, and the medical compliance and influencing factors of the patients were acquired by the research followed, and the prognosis and allocation were also observed. The results showed the medical compliance in 77.3% of patients with CHB was good, and in 22.7% patients was poor. After following-up for 2 years, the negative rates of HBV DNA and HBeAg shown in patients with good medical compliance were 78.6% and 46.0%, respectively,showing a significantly higher rate than in those with poor medical compliance, which having the rate of 37.8% and 21.6%, respectively (P<0.01). We suggested that there should be a correlation between the medical compliance of patients with CHB and the prognosis.
