1.The effect of saponin isolated from stems and leaves of ginseng (SLG) on immunologic function in mice
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(02):-
The effects of SLG on the immune function of normal and immune-suppressed mice were investigated. The results showed that SLG (50mg/kg, im) could correct the suppressive effect of cyclophosphamide, dexamethasone or prednisolone on spleen and. thymus weight, serum specific antibody level and lymphocyte transformation. SLG could also improve the phagocytic activity of peritoneal macrophages and enhance peripheral blood ANAE+-lymphocyte ratio of mice. No obvious effect of SLG on the normal mice were observed except that it could increase the antibody level of normal mice. The results implicate that SLG may have some immunomodulatory effect.

5.The characteristics and treatment of rare embryonal tumors of central nervous system in children
Chinese Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2021;36(3):168-171
Embryonal tumors of central nervous system (CNS) are highly invasive malignant tumors that mainly affect infants.Even if the current active treatment strategies are given, the prognosis is still very poor. The 2016 World Health Organization(WHO) classification integrates the genetic information of diseases with histopathology, so as to make the classification and diagnosis of these tumors more accurate. In the new classification, embryonal tumors of CNS include the most common medulloblastoma, and the rare embryonal tumor with multilayered rosettes, C19MC-altered, embryonal tumor with multilayered rosettes, not otherwise specified (NOS), medulloepithelioma, CNS neuroblastoma, CNS ganglioneuroblastoma, CNS embryonal tumor, NOS, atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor, and CNS embryonal tumor with rhabdoid features.Further study and exploration on the biological nature of these rare brain tumors will provide scientific basis for new treatment methods.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2001;0(10):-
Objective To analyze the causes of rhabdomylysis (RM), pathogenetic mechanisms and possible effective interventions for secondary multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS) caused by RM. Methods causes of RM, clinical manifestations, severity of disease evaluated by APACHE Ⅱ and Marshall MODS Score, results of laboratory, clinical interventions and outcome were analyzed in all three MODS cases secondary to RM. Results The specific causes of RM were not clear. However, persistent acute twitch and hyperthermia occurred very early in all three cases. Plasma CK was increased 50 fold over the normal level. Number of injured organs was 7, 4 and 6, respectively. Marshall MODS score ranged from 15 to 21. APACHE Ⅱ scores were greater than 20 in all cases. One patients survived, the other two died. CRRT started early had been shown to be beneficial to decrease the markedly elevated plasma CK, CK-Mb, ALT, ALT and LDH. Conclusion Although the mechanism of RM with secondary MODS has not been elucidated yet, deep sedation as well as effective hypothermia to control acute twitch and hyperthermia should be the essential interventions to attenuate further organ injury. Additionally, based on effective advanced life support, CRRT started early could be an important therapy for MODS secondary to RM.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1981;0(06):-
Objective To investigate the pathophysiological changes in irradiation-induced heart injury in rats in order to provide preventive and therapeutic strategies for irradiation-induced heart disease(RIHD).Methods Experiments were performed using female Wistar rats with body weight of approximately 220g.12 female Wistar rats were randomly assigned to two groups(sham-irradiated group and irradiated group).Heart of rats was locally irradiated with 60Co ?-ray at a dosage of 20 Gy.During the post-radiation period, the intake of food and activities of the animals were observed daily and the body weight was recorded monthly. On the 120th day after irradiation, myocardial perfusion was tested using real time myocardial contrast echocardiography(RTMCE).On the 180th day after irradiation, the hearts were isolated from the rats of the both groups, and they were perfused with a Langendorff apparatus.Hemodynamic measurements, including peak systolic LV pressure(LVSP),maximal rate of LV pressure rise(LV dp/dtmax)and fall(LV dp/dtmin)were studied. Then the hearts were examined pathologically with HE staining. Results Animals irradiated with single dose of 20Gy locally were apparently in a good condition during the observation period of 180 days.No differences in food intake, physical activities and body weight were observed between irradiated and control animals. However, myocardial blood velocity(beta)of irradiated rats was significantly lower than that of sham irradiated group(P

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(04):-
At the concentrations of 10-8mol/L, 5.5?l0-8mol/L, 10-7mol/L morphine produced a dose-dependent increase of beating rate in cultured rat heart cells with 9%,32%and 81% respectively. The increase was antagonized by opiate antagonist naloxone ( 10-5mol/L ) , but not affected by propranolol ( 10-5mol/L ) which could cancel the positive chronotropy of isoprenaline ( 10-9mol/L ) on the beating cells. The results support the concept that morphine may be a direct effect on myocadium, perhaps through opiate receptors.
