[Objective] To observe the effects of different fractions from Cortex Eucommiae on oxidation resistance and anti-despondent of Extradiol-induced kidney-yang deficiency mice, and understand the modern scientific connotation of the properties theories about sweet-flavor,warm-nature,meridian tropism in liver and kidney.[Methods] Healthy adult male ICR mice were divided into six groups randomly:normal control group, model control group, positive control group(Guifudihuang),three groups of Cortex Eucommiae(water fraction,n-butanol fraction, and acetoacetate fraction).Kidney-yang deficiency mice model was established with intraperitoneal injection of estradiol benzoate. The determined indexes included oxidation resistance indexes(activity of SOD,GSH-Px,CAT,content of MDA),anti-despondent indexes(tail suspension, activity of MAO),and anti-fatigue ability.[Results] Oxidation resistance indexes:Three fractions of Cortex Eucommiae all could decrease content of MDA,enhance activeness of SOD.The water and n-butanol fraction could enhance activeness of CAT.The water and acetoacetate fraction could enhance activeness of GSH-Px.Anti-despondent indexes:The acetoacetate fraction of Cortex Eucommiae could lengthen the activity time in tail suspension test, and three fractions of Cortex Eucommiae all could decrease activeness of MAO.Three fractions of Cortex Eucommiae all could lengthen the running distance and time.[Conclusion] Cortex Eucommiae could improve aging and depression caused by kidney-yang deficiency.Oxidation resistance and anti-despondent effects could be an important part of the main effective groups about sweet-flavor,warm-nature,meridian tropism in liver and kidney. The effects of water extract and n-butanol extract were closer and stronger, which could be the main substance basis of common effective groups.

OBJECTIVETo observe the efficacy of Xingnaojing Injection (XI) in treatment of sepsis-associated encephalopathy (SAE).
METHODSTotally 65 SAE patients were retrospectively analyzed at EICU from September 2010 to September 2013. They were assigned to the control group (32 cases) and the treatment group (33 cases) according to whether they received XI. Patients in the control group received anti-infection and symptomatic support, while those in the treatment group were intravenously injected with XI at 20 mL per day for additional 7-10 days. The fever clearance time, Glasgow coma scale (GCS), C-reactive protein (CRP), neuron-specific enolase (NSE), and improvement of electroen-cephalogram (EEG) were observed in the two groups.
RESULTSCompared with the control group, the fever clearance time was shortened, CRP levels decreased, GCS score and efficacy of EEG was alleviated in the treatment group after treatment with statistical difference (P < 0.05). No adverse reaction occurred during medication.
CONCLUSIONX1 was safe and effective in treatment of SAE.

Objective To investigate the clinical efficiency of kid foot soft tissue defect with reverse flap with cutaneous branch of fibular artery combine with sural nerve nutritional vessel axial. Methods From Feb. 2006 to Feb. 2009, according to the position and size of the soft tissue defects, the sural nerve nutritional vessel flap combine with the cutaneous branch of the peroneal artery were desingned and obtained to repair the 5 cases soft tissue defects of the foot. The flap size ranged from 8 cm × 7 cm to 18 cm × 10 cm. The vessel pedicle of cutaneous branches ranged from 1.7 cm to 3.0 cm. The distribution of the vessel pedicle of cutaneous branches ranged from 4.5 cm to 8.0 cm on the lateral malleolus. Results All flaps survived completely in 6 cases. The outline and function were satisfactory during 6-18 months follow-up. Among of 6 cases, the sural nerve were anastomosed with the acceptor sensory nerve in all cases. The skin sense were sat-isfactory after 1 year of operation and 2-point discrimination was 10-13 mm. Conclusion The blood supply of this flap is reliable without sacrifice of major arteries. Flap elevation is easy. It can reverse to a long dis-tance and can repair large skin defects. Especially this flap could have some sensory nerve. It is very useful in repairing kid foot large soft tissue defect.

Objective To investigate the MR imaging (MRI) appearances of postoperative residual liver after hepatic resection for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and the MRI features of tumor recurrences. Methods Twenty patients with previous surgical resection of HCC underwent MR examination of upper abdomen for routine follow-up study or due to clinical suspicion of tumor recurrence. MRI protocol included T1W axial unenhanced images and Gadolinium-enhanced sequences, Gadolinium-enhanced VIBE sequence, unenhanced T2W axial images and coronal TrueFisp sequence. Results Thirteen patients showed normal edge of surgical resection, while 6 patients demonstrated MR signs of incision edge recurrence of HCC and 1 patient was suspicious of tumor recurrence at the incision edge. Among the 20 patients, 12 had MRI features of tumor recurrence of the residual liver, including invasion of left, right and common hepatic ducts 3 cases. Three patients had metastatic lymphadenopathy in portal hepatis, portacaval space and retroperitoneal space. Two patients showed extensive tumor implantation of peritoneum and mesentery. Conclusion MRI is effective in differentiating normal surgical incision edge of residual liver from tumor recurrence. It is also very useful for the early detection of intra-hepatic and extra-hepatic tumor lesions.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2015;(1):44-48
BACKGROUND:Fluorescent magnetic nanoparticles with the properties of quantum dots and magnetic particles have good biocompatibility, and can label cels effectively through endocytosis. OBJECTIVE:To validate the feasibility of fluorescent magnetic nanoparticles in labeling human adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cels. METHODS:Healthy human adipose tissue was extracted and adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cels were isolatedin vitro by type I colagenase digestion. Passage 6 cels were incubated with the fluorescent magnetic nanoparticles overnight. Prussian blue staining and laser scanning confocal microscope were used to observe labeled adipose-derived mesenchymal stem celsin vitro after co-culturing with fluorescent magnetic nanoparticles. The tracing effect of labeled adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cels in vivo was detected by fluorescence imaging system. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Prussian blue staining showed that the fluorescent magnetic nanoparticles dispersed in the cytoplasm of adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cels in the form of blue particles. Under the laser scanning confocal microscope, the nuclei of adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cels were dyed blue by Hoechest33258, and the cytoplasm was dyed green. The fluorescence imaging results showed that labeled human adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cels had good imaging results. Therefore, as an efficient tracer, the fluorescent magnetic nanoparticles can label human adipose-derived stem cels in vitro and provide a new method for transplantation and transformation of adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cels.
