1.Some characteristics of the Neiguan point (P6) in 70 children aged from 6 to 14 years
Journal of Medical Research 2002;18(2):28-33
70 children (33 males, 37 female) from 6-14 years of age are randomly selected. The Nourometer RB type - 65 is used for the mesurement of the Neiguan (P6) current in tensity. The comparision between the current intensity at Neiguan and the neighbouring regions, between the two sex is made. The current intensity data of adult Neiguan is compared to our studied results. The correlation of the Neiguan point estimated distance and the height is calculated. It shows that the current average intensity is 94.54 +/- 16.7 mA (righ side) and 94.69 +/- 17.19 mA (left side). There is an significant difference of current intensity between the Neiguan Point and neighbouring regions (P< 0.001). The average data in the stied group is higher than in the adult (P<0.001). No significant difference of current intensity, area of point is shown in male and female, the left side and the right side (P>0.05). The correlation between the Neiguan estimated distance and the height is evident (r= 0.76)

2.The characteristics of 'Bo duong hoan ngu thang"
Journal Reasearch of Vietnam Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy 2003;0(10):33-35
Decoction Invigorating “yang” for recuperation was a prescription reported in the book Corrections on the Errors of Medical Works of the Qing Dynasty, written by Wang Qingren (end of 18th – beginning of 19th century). Ingredients: Radix Astragali 160g, Radix Angelicae Sinensis 8g, Radix Paeoniae Rubra 6g, Semen Persicae 4g, Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong 4g, Lumbricus 4g, Flos Carthami 4g. 3 characteristics of the recipe: this was a promoting blood circulation recipe but the monarch drug – Radix astragali – has been an invigorating “qi” remedy, which has been used at the same time for promoting blood circulation. 84% (160g) of the total amount of the recipe has been the invigorating “qi” drug, this was an application of the theory: “qi” being the commander of blood. The recipe has been identified to have warm property, because the percentage of warm ingredients (Radix Astragali, Radix angelicae, Sinensis, Rhizoma Ligustici Chuangxiong, Flos Carthami) was 93% (176g)

4.Characteristics and treatments of Japanese encephalitis at Dong Nai Paediatrics Hospital
Ho Chi Minh city Medical Association 2003;8(3):141-144
A retrospective study was carried out on 67 patients with Japanese Encephalitis at Dong Nai Pediatric Hospital from August 1999 to July 2001. Its showed a 40.8% of acute encephalitis patients admiited into hospital acquired Japanese encephalitisl Among them, 100% had IgM anti JE antibody(+), 100% were not vaccinated. Main clinical manifestations were fever 100%, coma 64.2%, vomit 71.6%, headache 55.2%, convulsion 46.2%. After treating: full recovery 61.2%, neuro-psychiatric sequella 11.9%, referral to higher level Pediatric Hospital 20.9%, death 6%. Because of the lack of specific therapeutic medicines, JE vaccine must be recommended to integrate to enlarged immunized program.

5.Clinical characteristics and high risk factors in deaths due to the myocardial infarction
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 1999;232(1):3-9
Study on 275 patients, of whom 265 were males, and 10 females, 46-86 years old, diagnosed myocardial infarction (MI), and have been treated at Huu Nghi Hospital since January 1990 to December 1997. Some remarks were noted: 37.8% of patients were admitted to hospital (within 6 hours), and 62.5% had complications (14 kinds of complications). Recovery averaged 32-48 days of treatment with classical management. Mortality reached 33%. High risk factors causing death included: multiple complications, cardiac rupture, cardiogenic shock, heart failure, ventricular fibrillation, loss of blood pressure (BP) or sudden reduction of BP, antero - posterio MI, recurrence of MI and the elderly. The authors recommend using thrombolytics if there are no contraindications
