1.The relation between serum SCC levels and the disease stages of the patients with squamous cell cervical cancer
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2004;303(10):55-60
Objective: To evaluate the prognostic value of serum squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) antigen in cervical cancer patients. Serum SCC levels were measured in 222 cervical cancer patients, and were evaluated by statistical analysis. Results: 69.3% patients had serum SCC level >2µg/L and 25.2% had serum SCC level >10µg/L. The increase of serum SCC level is related to age, disease stages and could be a significant prognostic factor in cervical cancer

Clear cell SCC is a rare variant of SCC initially reported by Kuo in 1980. A lot of cases of clear cell SCC show intracytoplasmic glycogen deposition and thus need to be distinguished from trichilemmal carcinoma. Although some authors studied the histological features of clear cell SCC, with its limited case reports and the variety of its content, the histopathologic findings of clear cell SCC are still imperfectly known. Herein, we report a case of clear cell SCC with review of literatures for histopathologic findings of clear cell SCC.

Carcinomas of Bartholin's gland are rare tumor that account for less than 0.001% of all gynecological malignancy, and account for 2-7% of vulvar malignancy. The treatment of Bartholin's gland carcinoma is not established yet. So it should be individualized to the patient by the resectability and the status of resection margin involvement. We experienced a case of squamous cell carcinoma of the Bartholin's gland treated by wide local excision and post-operative radiation therapy. We report this malignancy with a brief review of literature.
