[Objective] To screen the anticancer fraction from extract of root of Adina rubella Hance.[Methods]To separate the water extract from root of Adina rubella Hance by different solvens, then determine their anticancer activities of the different extracts in vitro with MTT method.[Results]The ethylacetate extract strongly inhibited cell proliferation of LS174T,and showed significant dosage-dependent response while the butanol extract and the chloroform extract showed low anticancer activities in vitro.[Conclusion]The ethylacetate extract is the principal anticancer extract from root of Adina rubella Hance.

Object To study the chemical constituent and the bioactivity in the bark of Tsoongiodendron odorum Chun Methods By bioactive following method, the extracts of both EtOAc and n BuOH in the bark of T odorum were screened for in vitro anti tumor activity Results Five constituents were obtained Among them, three from EtOAc fraction belonged to germacranolides They were costunolide (Ⅰ), parthenolide (Ⅱ) and dihydroparthenolide (Ⅲ) The other two were from the fraction of n BuOH, one was an oxoaporphinoid alkaloid, liriodenine (Ⅳ), and the last was a furanone, 2, 3 dihydroxyl 2 methyl butylrolactone (Ⅴ) Conclusion All the above five compounds are found for the first time from this plant Compounds Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅳ, and Ⅴ show the cytotoxic activities against a variety of tumor cell strains, respectively

Objective To investigate the expression of integrin avβ3 in both of hepatic stellate cell (HSC)and fibrotic liver tissue, and to demonstrate whether integrin avβ3 is a phenotypical receptor of activated HSC.Methods HSC were isolated from Sprague-Dawley rats and activated by prolonged cultural. The rats were injected with 175 mg of thioacetamide twice a week for 12 weeks to induce liver fibosis. The expressions of avβ3 and a-SMA were identified by immunocytochemical staining. The expression of avβ3 in HSC,normal and fibrotic tissues were examined by real-time PCR and Western blot. Results The expression of avβ3 in activated HSC were up regulated and levels of mRNA and protein were increased to 18 and 5.2 folds on day 14 compared with day 1 and were also higher than control(t=2.39,P<0.05;t=2.74,P<0.05).The immunochemistry staining showed that integrin avβ3 was expressed on membrane of activated HSCs.The avβ3 and a-SMA were expressed in portal vein in normal liver, but were also expressed in portal and fibrotic. Conclusions The integrin avβ3 is up-regulated in activated HSC both in vitro and in vivo.It is a phenotypical receptor of activated HSC which involved in liver fibrosis.

Mesenehymal stem cells(MSCs)have been successfully isolated from almost all tissues in Mammals, and their multi-lineage differentiation ability leads to the attractive application of MSCs in regenerative medicine.More understanding of the biological characteristics of MSCs,the interaction between MSCs and the local environment, the molecules regulating MSC homing and differentiation have been achieved, which will benefit the effective clinical trials using MSCs as repair cells and/or vehicles for exogenous genes.

Objective To analyze the incidence of cerebral vasospasm (CVS) in patients with traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage(t-SAH), time windows of CVS as well as the risk factors. Method A total of 98 patients, with t -SAH admitted from June 2007 to December 2008, were enrolled for this prospective study. The hemodynamics of middle cerebral artery (MCA) in these patients was monitored with trancranial Doppler (TCD) daily for 7 days after admission and on the 14th day of hospital stay. The incidence of cerebral vasospasm (CVS) in patients with traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage (t-SAH) ,time windows of CVS as well as the risk factors were analyzed. Results Of them, 41 patients (41.8%) had CVS. The flow velocity of MCA in patients with GCS≤ 8 was significantly higher than that in patients with GCS≥9. Classified by t-SAH cumulative blood Hijdra method, 2(4.44%) of 45 patients(45.9%)with scores 6 or less,9 (29.0%)of 31 patients (37.8%) with scores 6~ 13,and 8 (36.4%) of 22 patients (20.0%)with scores 13 or more had CVS. Severe CVS occurred in 13 (35. 1% )of 37 surgical patients (37.8%), and local cerebral infarction occurred in four surgical patients after symptomatic treatment. The flow velocity of the MCA was significantly higher in surgical patients than that in non-surgical patients 3 days after admission. Conclusions The severity of original trauma, bleeding, location of t-SAH and operation are the major risk factors to lead to CVS in patients with t-SAH. Attention should he paid to those risk factors during the treatment of patients with t-SAH.

Objective To investigate the effects of different ligation position, vena coronaria variation and lidocaine on myocardial infarction size and mortality in rats Methods Totally 120 male SD rats were divided into four groups with 30 rats in each group: low ligation with invisible vena coronaria, low ligation with visible vena coronaria, high ligation, and high ligation plus lidocaine Results MI was successfully created in 930% rats of high ligation groups and in 673% rats of low ligation groups The mortality was 433% in rats of high ligation groups, only 133% in rats when lidocaine in use Conclusion High ligation increases the success rate of rat model of myocardial infarction and the application of lidocaine decreases the mortality of the rat model

Objective To compare the clinical safety and efficacy of complete mesoeolic excision (CME) for right-hemi colorectal cancer with traditional surgical treatment. Methods Collectting the clinical data of 69 cases, who randonly divided into two groups,A group induced 38 cases and were implemented regular CME,and B group induded 31 cases which were implemented traditional surgery of right-hemi colorectal cancer patients from the Department of General surgery,Fuzhou General Hospital of Nanjing Military Region from Jan.1 2010 to Oct.1 2010,and comparing the safety and efficacy. Results The differences between and traditional surgery in terms of operation time, blood loss, exhaust and defecation time, hospitalization time, the rate of postoperative complication, the number of removed lymph node of Ⅰ and Ⅱ phase,3-year recurrence rate of Ⅱ phase,3-year survival rate of Ⅱ phase and the number of removed lymph node of Ⅲ phase in mesentery root were not significant. The differences in terms of the number of removed lymph node of Ⅲ phase(22.76 ± 6.94,15.11 ± 7.85),3-year recurrence rate of Ⅲ phase(5.88%,45.45%),3-year survival rate of Ⅲ phase (94.12%,63.64%),the total number of removed lymph node(20.56 ± 7.11,13.92 ± 6.62),3-year overall recurrence rate(7.89%,29.03%)and 3-year overall survival rate (94.74%,77.42%) were significant. Conclusions Comparing with traditional surgery,CME significantly benefits the patients of right-hemi colorectal cancer with stage Ⅲ,but not for patients with stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ.
