Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) influenced the activities of daily living (ADL) of COPD patients. The six-minute walking test is considered as a good marker of functional capacity to perform ADLs. However, it does not identify the activities roundly. A good ADL scale can be used to assess functional incapacity of ADL in patients with COPD, and present sensitivity to changes following pulmonary rehabilitation.

The ATP2C1 gene mutation in one case of familial benign chronic pemphigus was investigated. One patient was diagnosed as familial benign chronic pemphigus by pathology, ultrastructral examination and clinical features. Genomic DNA was extracted from blood samples. Mutation of ATP2C1 gene was detected by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and DNA sequencing. The results showed that deletion mutation was detected in ATP2C1 gene in this patient, which was 2374delTTTG. No mutation was found in the family members and normal individuals. It was concluded that the 2374delTTTG mutation in ATP2C1 gene was the specific mutation for the clinical phenotype for this patient and was a de novo mutation.

This paper introduces the development of B-ultrasonic wave video image acquisition and management system based on Windows of the PC.With the application of VB6.0,the acquisition and dynamic display of B-ultrasonic wave video image are realized.ACCESS taken as the database and its ADO application set up,the system has the functions of query,statistics and report of B-ultrasonic wave video image.

Objective To evaluated the preserving or removing jejunal mucosa pancreatico-jejunal invaginated anastomosis in pancreaticoduodenectomy.Methods Between February 2003 and December 2012,58 patients underwent pancreaticoduodenectomy using pancreaticojejunal invaginated anastomosis in our department.In group A,28 patients received pancreatico-jejunal invaginated anastomosis using jejunum preserving technique.Briefly,3 to 4 cm remanent pancreas was inserted into jejunum and thc jcjunum was bundled up using No.7 silk thread at 2 to 3 cm distant to the cutting surface of the pancreas.In group B,30 patients received pancreatico-jejunal invaginated anastomosis using jejunum removing technique.Briefly,the jejunum mucosa was everted and the proximal 3 cmlong mucosa was removed.Then the everted jejunum was re-positioned and the ending of the jejunum was interruptedly sutured to the remanent pancreas.Finally,the covered jejunum was tied up as the group A.Results The pancrcatico-jejunal anastomosis time was 36 ±0.34 minutes shorter in group A than group B (P ＜0.001).The incidence of pancreatic fistula was higher in group B (20.0％) than group A (0％).In contrast,the incidence of post-operative pancreatic bleeding was compared between the two groups (3.6％ vs 3.3％,P =1.000).Conclusions Preserving ejunum mucosa pancreatico-jejunal invaginated anastomosis was unaffected by pancreatic texture pancreatic duct size and position.This method takes the advantages of simple operation and reducing the incidence of pancreatic fistula.

ObjectiveTo investigate the safety and clinical value of treadmill exercise testing for the patients with acute myocardial infarction in the early recovery. Methods36 patients with acute myocardial infarction performed treadmill exercise testing with Bruce protocol 15～57 d after infarction. ResultsThe outcome of 19 cases was positive, and the outcome of other 16 cases was negative. 1 case couldn't finish the testing, whose outcome could not be analyzed because his exercise time was too short. The average cardic fuction was (5.42±3.12) METs. ConclusionIt is safe that the patients with acute myocardial infarction performed treadmill exercise testing early.

Abdominal withdrawal reflex (AWR) test, which evaluates the behavioral response of animals through expanding the intestinal tract, is the most widely used method to assess animal's visceral sensitivity in recent years.However, as AWR experimental operation involves many factors, it''s hard to find a commonly recognized operating procedure.Through review of literature of AWR experimental measuring methods, this article summarizes the basic steps of AWR operation.Meanwhile, it scrutinizes the differences of various measuring methods in relevant factors, including expansion method and airbag method, with special operating suggestions to them.Hopefully, this article will provide an option to future researchers who will use this method to evaluate animal''s visceral sensitivity, and provide a necessary foundation for the standardization of the experimental operation.

Objective To optimize the preparation of air bag materials for abdominal withdrawal reflex test.Methods To measure the diameters of different pressue-air bags by digital vernier caliper and X ray imaging.Using the pain threshold (3 points) as a criterion to test the pressure values of different air bags in the rats with corresponding visceral pain sensitivity.Results With the increasing pressure, the changes of the diameter of round latex balloon were uniform and gentle, and could meet the pressure range used in the experiment (20~80 mmHg).The threshold of visceral pain in rats was near the nociceptive stimulus value,and would not cause irreversible damage to the rat intestinal tract.Conclusions Air bag made from round latrex ballon is an ideal tool to be used in abdominal withdrawal reflex test in rats.

Methods The recombinant bait plasmid pHybLex/Zeo Id1′ was constructed and transformed into yeast strain EGY48/ pSH18 34 to test pHybLex/Zeo Id1′ for non specific activation. Adult human lung cDNA libraries were screened to obtain true positive library plasmid. The true positive library clone was obtained by sequencing and basic local alignment sequence tool (BLAST). Results The recombinant bait vector, named as pHybLex/Zeo Id1′, was confirmed by sequencing. pHybLex/Zeo Id1′ was transformed into yeast strain EGY48/pSH18 34 and the transformants had no autonomously activated reporter genes. One true positive clone, obtained by screening of the adult human lung cDNA libraries, was confirmed to be Fyn by sequencing and BLAST. Conclusion Id1′ can interact with Fyn.

ObjectiveTo investigate the expressions of nerve growth factor (NGF) and its receptors TrkA and p75NTR in dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans and dermatofibroma.MethodsAvidin-biotin immunohistochemical(ABC) method was used to detect the expressions of NGF and its receptors TrkA and p75NTR in paraffin-embedded tissue specimens from 17 cases of DFSP and 15 cases of dermatofibroma.Results NGF and TrkA were highly expressed in both DFSP and dermatofibroma specimens,with no significant difference between the two groups of specimens (x2 =0.11,0.02,respectively,both P ＞ 0.05),while the expression of p75NTR was significantly higher in DFSP than in dermatofibroma specimens(x2 =32,P ＜ 0.01 ).The expression of NGF was positively correlated with that of p75NTR in DFSP(R2 =0.623,P ＜ 0.01 ).ConclusionNGF may play a certain role in the development of DFSP via its high-affinity receptor TrkA and low-affinity receptor p75NTR.

Objective To investigate the distribution of pathogens and positive alarming time of blood culture,and provide basis for laboratory diagnosis and clinical treatment. Methods Blood specimens from clinical departments in a hospital in May-November 2015 were collected,positive alarming time of blood culture was recorded,species of pathogens were identified. Results A total of 157 pathogenic strains were isolated from blood culture specimens, gram-positive cocci,gram-negative bacilli,and fungi accounted for 31 .85% ,57.32% ,and 10.83% respectively. The median positive alarming time were as follows:Enterobacteriaceae 0.50 day,non-fermenting bacteria 0.63 day, Enterococcusspp. 0.60 day,Streptococcusspp. 0.80 day,Staphylococcusspp. 1.01 days,and fungi 1.44 days, respectively. Conclusion Positive alarming time of blood culture specimens from early to late are as follows:Enter-obacteriaceae,Enterococcus,non-fermentative bacteria,Streptococcus spp.,Staphylococcus spp.,and fungus. Positive alarming time of pathogens causing bloodstream infection are all within 4 days,and most of them are within 1 day.
