1.Clinical efficacy of atorvastatin in patients with lacunar infarctions and influence on cerebrovascular reactivity
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2010;17(18):2462-2463
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of atorvastatin in patients with lacunar infarctions (LI) and influence on cerebrovascular reactivity(CVR). Methods 60 patients with LI were randomly divided into observation group and control group. The patients of control group were given aspirin treatment, patients of observation group were given atorvastatin combination with aspirin therapy. The breath-holding index(BHI) before and after treatment was calculated. After continuous treatment for 3 months the clinical efficacy was evaluated. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 90. 0% ,it was significantly higher than that of the control group(73.3% ),compared with the control group the difference was significant( x2 = 10. 428 ,P < 0. 05). The bilateral BHI of observation group significantly increased, compared with per-treatment and control group the difference was significant ( t =9. 455,6. 135 ,all P < 0. 05 ) ,but the bilateral BHI of control group had no significant difference compared with pertreatment ( P > 0. 05 ). Conclusion Atorvastatin could effectively improve CVR in patients with LI. Therefore, atorvastatin had great significance for the prevention of stroke.

Objective To study the relationship of expr ession of PTEN and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) with angiogenesis i n bladder cancers. Methods Using immunohistochemical S- P method, the expression of PTEN and VEGF was examined in 62 bladder cancer sampl es and 18 chronic cystitis samples (control group);and the microvessel density ( MVD) was compared among different expression states of PTEN and VEGF in bladder cancer tissues. Results The positive rates of PTEN in bl adder cancer and control groups were 53.2% (33/62) and 100.0% (18/18),respective ly.The difference between the 2 groups was significant ( P

Objective To investigate the rehabilitative effect of simulated family intervention on hospitalized depression patients. Methods One hundred depression patients in hospital were evenly randomized into the experiment group and control group:Both groups were treated with traditional antidepressant therapy and beside, the experiment group were taken care of by family members by way of simulated family intervention and the control group by isolated nursing intervention. The two groups were compared in therapeutic effect by survey using HAMD before intervention and 3 months after that.Result After 3 months of treatment, the score by HAMD in the experiment group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The simulated family intervention by family members in hospital may be effective in improving the rehabilitation of depression patients and good for their resumption to the communities.

Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(11):-
Objective:To study the effects of anti-oncogene PTEN transfection on apoptosis of human bladder cancer cell lines,BIU-87,and to bring a new method of gene therapy for bladder cancer. Methods:A eukaryotic expression vector containing PTEN was transfected into BIU-87,and positive cell clones were selected and amplified.Expression of PTEN was detected by RT-PCR.Apoptosis of BIU-87 were measured before and after transfection by in situ cell apoptosis detection kit and flow cytometry. Results:PTEN transfected BIU-87 could steadily express PTEN mRNA,and cell apoptosis significantly increased compared with control groups. Conclusion:Transfection of PTEN might induce apoptosis of bladder cancer cells so as to inhibit the occurrence and development of tumor.

Objective To investigate the diagnosis and treatment of nodular goiter with thyroid carcinoma. Methods The clinical data of forty cases of nodular goiter with thyroid carcinoma admitted to our hospital from January 2005 to December 2007 were retrospectively analyzed. Results Among the 40 cases, only four cases were preoperatively diagnosed as nodular goiter with thyroid carcinoma. All cases received operation and the diagnosis were comfirmed by frozen section examination.Various modes of thyroidectomy were performed according to the pathological results, including four cases had unilateral total thyroidectomy,27 had unilateral total thyroidectomy combined with opposite subtotal thyroidectomy, one case had bilateral subtotal thyroidectomy, and eight cases of bilateral total thyroidectomy.Of all 40 cases,11 cases received unilateral cervical lymph node dissection. There were only three cases occurred convulsion or numbness, and no hoarseness occurred postoperatively.Compared to simple nodular goiter, the incidence of calcification in nodular goiter with thyroid carcinoma was significantly increased(P

With the improvement of people's living standard, all kinds of antibacterial matefiats have been rapidly developed. In this paper, some terms relative to antibacterial materials and kinds, the antibacterial mechanism of antibacterial metallic materials have been introduced, research actuality and production technology of antibacterial metallic materials have been summarized, and characteristic and application of antibacterial metallic materials have been summarized. In the end, a development prospect of antibacterial metallic materials research in the future is also described.

Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2014;(6):383-388
Objective: To observe the efficacy of tuina manipulations for fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS).
Methods:Sixty eligible FMS patients were randomized into two groups, 30 in each group. Patients in the observation group were intervened by tuina manipulations to the corresponding segment of the spine based on the detection of disorders of the spine-related bones and tendons;patients in the control group were directed to practice functional exercises. Before and after intervention, the fibromyalgia impact questionnaire (FIQ) and visual analogue scale (VAS) were adopted for evaluation.
Results:After intervention, the FIQ and VAS scores dropped significantly in both groups (all P<0.05), and there were significant differences between the two groups (both P<0.05). The total effective rate was 86.7%in the observation group versus 63.3% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).
Conclusion:Spinal tuina manipulations are effective and safe in treating FMS, for significantly promoting the quality of life of the FMS patients.

Chinese Journal of Urology 2009;30(6):368-370
Objective To investigate the epidemic characteristics of prostate cancer in China. Methods The population-based cancer registration data between year 1988 and 2002 were collected from 30 cancer registries in China. The data from 11 registries with continuous record were analyzed using the software Joinpoint Regression Program 3.3.1, and the incidence of bladder cancer among 3 different periods (1988-1992, 1993-1997 and 1998-2002) were compared. Results The inci-dence of prostate cancer was 1.96, 3.09, 4. 36 per 100 000 during 1998-1992, 1993-1997 and 1998-2002, respectively. The up-trend of prostate cancer incidence was statistically significant, how-ever it is still lower in China compared with other parts of the world from 1993 to 1997. Conclusions The incidence of prostate cancer in China showed a significant upward trend year by year, and prostate cancer might be one of major cancer in China. We should pay attention to it.
