Journal of Audiology and Speech Pathology 1997;0(04):-
Objective In order to study the etiology and the hearing status of the deaf students in Hubei province, a survey was carried out from April 1999 to June 2000.Methods A total number of 813 deaf students in Hubei province were examined with audiometer and investigated through questionnaire. The pedigress analysis was conducted in deaf students with family history. Results The pedigrees of 227 familes with deafness were obtained, the inheritance pattern of 167 families could be ascertained. 232(28.5%) deaf students were diagnosed congenital deafness, 581 (71.5%) students were diagnosed acquired deafness. The degrees of deafness could be ascertained with 359(44.1%) students of profound deafness, 323(39.7%) students of severe deafness, 111(13.7%) students with moderate to severe deafness, 11(1.4%) students of moderate deafness, and 9(1.1%) students of mild deafness. Conclusion The hearing loss of deaf students is very serious, and genetic factor and ototoxic antibiotics were a principal causation in the occurrence of deafness.

To get the information about civil attitudes and main affecting factors of cadaver donation in Zhengzhou.Make stochastic visits to part of dwellers in Zhengzhou urban districts and then study the statistical data. The main affecting factors are traditional ideas and unsound legal system. So,in order to have a good effect,we should strengthen the dissemination of cadaver donation, renovate ideas, and strengthen relevant legislation for cadaver donation.

Objective To analyze the clinical features of patients with traumatic brain injury in the Ya' an earthquake and discuss the treatment experiences. Methods Medical records of 69 patients admitted from April 2013 to May 2013 because of traumatic brain injury in the Ya' an earthquake were collected.Retrospective review was performed for age, gender, causes of injury, time from injury to hospitalization, types of injury, associated injury, treatment methods and outcomes. Results There were 47 males and 22 females.Forty-two patients (61%) were injured from falling objects.Fifty-eight patients (84%) were sent to the West China Hospital within 72 hours postinjury.Twenty-two cases (32%) sustained associated injuries.Twenty-nine patients (42%) were critically injured.Twenty-four patients underwent operation at the local hospital and twelve patients had operation at our hospital.Outcome measure using GOS one month after treatment showed 55 favorable recovery,5 moderate disability,4 severe disability, and 5 coma. Conclusions Main cause of injury is hit by falling objects during the Ya' an earthquake.Majority of the patients obtained effective treatment in the time window.GCS in combination with patients' general condition used in casualty triage and critical patients charged by neurosurgeons and treated with the cooperation of multiple disciplinary teams are helpful to successful treatment.

Background Patients often suffer from a few complications of neurological and psychiatric problems after traumatic brain injury including damage of cognition, mental disorders and behavior problems. Damage of cognition is a common sequela in traumatic brain injury. Numerous researchers were focus on the cognition changes of patients with mild brain injury. But their conclusions are debatable. Executive function is one of the important components of cognition. In this study,we tried to find out the executive functional alterations of the patients with mild brain injury. Methods 159 patients with brain injury caused by transportation events and 68 normal controls were assessed executive function. The executive function tests included the block design in WAIS, the Stroop test, the verbal fluency and the modified version of Wisconsin card sorting test (M-WCST). These tests were applied to compare the scores of traumatic brain injury patients with various severities including mild, moderate, and severe and with different CT/MRI results. Results Patients with mild head injury got significantly lower scores on all tests than normal controls ( P<0.01 ). But there was no significant difference between mild and moderate brain injury group. Except Stroop test and WCST categories, patients with mild brain injury got significantly lower scores on all other tests than those with severe brain injury ( P <0.05). In the brain injury cases with damage signs on CT/MRI, there was no significant difference on scores of all tests except block design tests among brain injury patients with various severities. Among the brain injury cases without any damage signs on CT/MRI, there was no significant difference on scores of all tests among brain injury patients with various severities. The correlation analysis showed that scores of block design and verbal fluency test were negatively related to the severity of brain injury( P<0.05). The age and the education level of the patients had negative and positive correlation, respectively, to executive function. Conclusions The executive function of patients with mild brain injury was impaired when the medication was terminated. We should pay more attention to patients with mild brain injury by performing various tests for assessment of disability.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the influencing factors and correlation of job burnout and organizational support in medical staffs. METHODS: The cluster random sampling method was used to select 1 231 medical staffs as the study subjects from 7 municipal hospitals in Zhengzhou City,Henan Province. Maslach Burnout Inventory-General Survey and Organizational Support Scale were used for questionnaire survey. The correlation between job burnout and organizational support was analyzed by canonical correlation analysis. RESULTS: The score of job burnout was( 36. 0 ± 14. 1),and the median score of organizational support was 72. 0, showing a negative correlation( Spearman correlation coefficient was-0. 333,P < 0. 01). There is canonical correlation between job burnout and organizational support( F = 1. 94,P <0. 01). CONCLUSION: The present situation of job burnout among medical staffs is serious. Job burnout of medical staffs can be reduced by improving their sense of organizational support.

Objective:To review the research progress on the quality evaluation and improvement of pain management in China.Method:Retrieve studies on quality evaluation and improvement of pain management in China in Chinese sci-tech periodical database to make analysis to the literatures selected on a theoretical basis of "structure-process-result" quality management mode. Results:In terms of structural element, most studies have focused on human resources, such as pain training for nurses, but being less concerned about environmental settings, drug stock. In terms of process element, most studies focus on several aspects of pain management at the same time but few focusing on a single aspect. As for result element, satisfaction and pain degree were the most frequently used evaluation indicators. Conclusion:Experimental research and and study on acute pain are mainly used for studies on quality evaluation and improvement of pain management and the types of pain. There are few studies about process element. It is suggested for scholars in China to try to adopt qualitative research to expand and deepen the research content from the structural elements of pain management, the quality evaluation and improvement of chronic tumor pain and chronic non-cancerous pain management.

Journal of Central South University(Medical Sciences) 2018;43(1):22-27
Objective:In order to apply the index system for clinical evaluation of implementation effect in hospitals. Methods:A total of 862 patients with vaginal delivery from 9 hospitals were randomly divided into an clinical pathway group (n=496) and a control group (n=366).The patients in the control group received traditional treatment procedure while the patients in the clinical pathway group experienced procedure of the clinical treatment. The index system was used for clinical evaluation of implementation effect. Results:There were obvious advantages in 15 indicators in the clinical pathway group than those in the control group (P<0.05).The comprehensive score of the clinical pathway group was higher than the control group of the corresponding grade and nature of the hospital. The comprehensive score for secondary hospitals (Ci=0.7967) were higher than that for the tertiary hospitals (Ci=0.2033).The comprehensive score for the general hospitals (Ci=0.8948) were higher than that for the specialized hospitals (Ci=0.1052).As for clinical implementation effect, the secondary hospitals were better than the tertiary hospital, and the general hospitals were better than the specialized hospitals. Conclusion:The index system for clinical evaluation could quantify the implementation effect, and compare the implementation effect in different hospitals, which provides reference for the management of clinical pathway.
