Objective To explore what cause the screw loosening after the internal fixation with thoracic and lumbar pedicle screws in the elderly and to develop the preventive measures. Methods Retrospective analysis were used to collect the clinical data from patients ager 60 years and over who had undergone surgeries of thoracolumbar pedicle screw internal fixation in our hospital during May 2011 and May 2013.Totally 187 cases were included in this study.According to whether there was a loosening of the screws, patients were divided into fixtion-loose and-well groups. The operation time and blood loss volume in the two groups were recorded.Visual analogue scale (VAS), Oswestry disability index (ODI), the rate of screw loosening were compared at 6 months after operation and the last follow-up.The causes of screw loosening were analyzed. Results The main causes for the thoracic and lumbar pedicle screw internal fixation were thoracolumbar kyphoscoliosis, fractures, spondylolisthesis, cancer and degenerative diseases, etc.Patients were followed up for an average of (35.2±8.7) months.13 patients (7.0%) were found screw loosening, 5 males and 8 females, with the mean age of (78.4 ± 3.5) years. The screw loosening occurred 3 months to 1 year after the surgery, (7.6±3.7) months on average.Among the 13 patients with screw loosening, 1 patient suffered screw loosening in single segment, 3 patients in two segments, and 9 patients in three segments or above.Osteoporosis combined with screw loosening.appeared in 10 patients VAS and ODI scores in all subjects had statistically differences at 6 months after operation and the last follow up versus preoperation (P<0.05 for all), but no statistical difference versus the last follow-up(P> 0.05).There were significant differences in gender and preoperative osteoporosis rate between the two groups (P<0.05 for both). Conclusions Osteoporosis is one of the reasons for the screw loosening in elderly patients after pedicle screw internal fixation. The increased probability of the screw loosening in long segment may be related with the change of the older spine mechanics.Further randomized controlled trials are still required to confirm whether elderly osteoporosis patients need to receive bone cement augmentation treatment.

This paper sets out to summarize the literatures based on immobilized enzyme biochromatography and its application in inhibitors screening in the last decade. In order to screen enzyme inhibitors from a mass of compounds in preliminary screening,multi-pore materials with good biocompatibility are used for the supports of immobilizing enzymes, and then the immobilized enzyme reactor applied as the inmobilized enzyme stationary phase in HPLC.Therefore,a technology platform of high throughput screening is gradually established to screen the enzyme inhibitors as new anti-tumor drugs. Here,we briefly summarize the selective methods of supports, immobilization techniques,co-immobilized enzymes system and the screening model.

Objective:To establish a method for the simultaneous determination of 8 heavy metal elements Pb, Cd, As, Hg, Co, V, Se and Mo in iron dextran by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry ( ICP-OES) . Methods:Through the detec-tion wavelength selection, the detection wavelength was confirmed as follows:220. 353 nm for Pb, 228. 802 nm for Cd, 188. 980 nm for As, 194. 164 nm for Hg, 228. 615 nm for Co, 311. 070 nm for V, 196. 026 nm for Se and 204. 598 nm for Mo. Through optimizing the instrument parameters, the optimal radio frequency power was 1. 3 kW, the nebulizer gas flow rate was 0. 7 L·min-1, and the pump speed was 10 r·min-1. By applying the above detection parameters, the 8 heavy metal elements were analyzed by ICP-OES simultaneously. Results: The linearity of the detected elements was good, and the correlation coefficients were all greater than 0. 9990. The detection limits were from 0. 12 to 7. 26 ng·ml-1 , the quantitation limits were from 0. 40 to 23. 96 ng·ml-1 and the recoveries were from 94. 1% to 103. 4% (RSD<3%, n=9). Conclusion: The method is specific, sensitive, rapid and accurate, which can be applied in the simultaneous determination of 8 heavy metal elements in iron dextran.

ObjectiveTo discuss the characteristics of psychological assistance hotline calls and operators' coping strategies of before and after the COVID-19 outbreak, in order to further improve the assistance ability of the psychological crisis hotline. MethodsA retrospective study was conducted on the demographics characteristics, call problems, coping strategies, and call time trends recorded by Changchun psychological assistance hotline information registration platform before the epidemic in Changchun City (January 20, 2019-April 20, 2019) and during the epidemic period (January 20, 2020-April 20, 2020). ResultsThe differences between gender, age, marital status, location, and occupation type before and during the epidemic were statistically significant (χ2=11.205, 234.240, 152.083, 265.458, 353.385, P<0.01). The number of different help calls had a statistically significant difference before and during the epidemic (χ2=185.088,P<0.01). The difference in the number of operators’ different coping strategies before and during the epidemic was statistically significant (χ2=226.810, P<0.01). Before the epidemic, the main peak of incoming calls was concentrated at 16∶00 to 17∶00, and the secondary peak was concentrated at 22∶00 to 23∶00. During the epidemic, the main peak of incoming calls was also concentrated at 16∶00 to 17∶00, while the secondary peak was concentrated at 10∶00 to 11∶00. ConclusionDuring the COVID-19 epidemic, the number of calls to the psychological assistance hotline was higher than that before the outbreak. The main peak time for calls was the same, and the secondary peak was adjusted from 22∶00 to 23∶00 to 10∶00 to 11∶00. During the epidemic, the number of calls from male, 30 to 39 years old, married, local and staff in Changchun was the most, psychological problems counseling and operator referral strategy were the most before and after the epidemic.

Chinese Journal of Blood Transfusion 2023;36(3):235-237
【Objective】 To evaluate the detection and distribution characteristics of anti-P1 in tumor patients, so as to aid in blood screening and transfusion safety. 【Methods】 The clinical data of 112 658 tumor patients who underwent blood preparation and transfusion in our hospital from January 2014 to December 2021 were retrospectively analyzed, and column agglutination technique was used to perform transfusion compatibility test. 【Results】 A total of 1 079 (0.96%, 1 079/112 658) cases were detected with unexpected antibodies, of which 71 (6.58%, 71/1 079) were identified as anti-P1. In anti-P1 cases, 59.15% (42/71) were males; 60.56% had no pregnancy history (P<0.01); 29.58% (21/71), 52.11%(37/71), 12.68%(9/71) and 5.63%(4/71) of anti-P1 patients were with type A, B, O and AB, respectively. 57 cases of anti-P1 patients (80.28%) had difficulty in ABO blood group identification. The incidence of interfering in patients with type B was higher than that of other blood types (P<0.05), as the frequency of w+ in reverse blood typing was higher than other reactive patterns (P<0.05). The incidence of gastric tumor and brain space-occupying lesion in patients with anti-P1 was higher than that in patients with other alloantibodies, while the incidence of gynecological tumors was lower (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 Anti-P1 affects the ABO blood group identification of tumor patients, and most of them had difficulty in ABO blood group identification. Compared with patients with other alloantibodies, patients with anti-P1 are more likely to be male and suffer from gastric and brain tumors, but less likely from gynecological tumors.
