Objective To explore the tridimensional personality characteristics of heroin addicts and the relationship with their mental state. Methods The personality character of 113 general adult and 100 heroin addicts were tested with tridimensional personality questionnaire(TPQ),and the mental state for the heroin addicts were tested with symptom of check- list(SCL-90) and to contrast the consequence with the norm of Chinese. Results NS and HA scores in heroin addicts( ( 18.07 ±4.13),( 16.06 ± 5.13) ) were higher than those in normal control group( ( 16.22 ± 4.88),( 13.98 ± 6.11 ) ) (P < 0.05 ),and RD scores ( 17.22 t 3.18 ) was lower than that of the control group (18.27 ± 3.73 ),the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05 ).The total score of SCL-90 and 9 factors score of heroin addicts were higher than the national norm, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.01 ),in which somatization, obsession, depression and psychosis were more prominent ; HA scores in heroin addicts were positively associated with the factors including obsession, interpersonal relation sensitivity, depression and positive project number. The Pearson correlation coefficient were respectively 0.226,0.243,0.201,0.215,the difference was statistically significant (P< 0.05).Conclusion The personality characteristics of heroin addicts is special and is correlated with their mental health state.

In order to meet the demand of higher medical education reform and to enhance the re-search capability among medical undergraduates , Capital Medical University carried out a project named undergraduate scientific research and innovation program. In the process of the project , several problems were found in both undergraduates and tutors including lack of document indexing skill , professional English ability , doctor-patient communication consciousness , data statistics and paper writing skills of undergraduates and limited time, insufficient funds and lacking experiences of tutors. Through establish-ing sound and standard training system, increasing scientific research funding, setting up incentive mech-anism and increasing scientific research ability training courses, scientific research ability of undergradu-ates and tutors were firmly strengthened.

OBJECTIVEThis research aims to study the changes in pain threshold and glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) in a Sprague Dawley (SD) rat model oftrigeminal neuralgia.
METHODSA total of 36 male SD rats were randomly divided into three groups: operative, sham-operative, and control. In the operative group, a chronic constriction injury (CCI) was caused by placing loose chromic gut ligatures around the right infraorbital nerve (ION). In the sham-operative group, the right ION was subjected to the same procedure, but without ligation. In the control group, the right ION was not subjected to any treatment. The pain thresholds of the three groups were recorded at different times after the operation. The GDNF expression in each group was analyzed via immunohistochemical staining.
RESULTSAn allodynia to mechanical stimulation in the region of the ligated ION was observed starting on the 2nd week after operation. Pain thresholds started to increase gradually from the 6th week and returned to the original level at the 10th to 12th week after operation. Cells that expressed the GDNF markedly increased in number in the operative group with changes observed at different times.
CONCLUSIONWe use chronic constriction injury to the infraorbital nerve (CCI-ION) to establish a trigeminal neuralgia-like animal model in SD rats. GDNF may play a role in regulating pain by promoting the restoration and regeneration of nerve fibers.

Objective To explore the value of CT spinal angiography with 256 MSCT and fast dynamic contrast-enhanced 3D MR angiography (CE-MRA) at 3.0 T in the diagnosis of spinal vascular malformations by comparing with results of DSA and operation.MethodsSeventeen patients suspected of spinal vascular diseases by initial MR and clinical manifestations all underwent CT spinal angiography.Of them,10 patients underwent MRA,15 patients underwent DSA within 3-5 days, and 8 patients finally underwent surgical treatment.ResultsCTA examination clearly showed the abnormal vascular lesions in 16 of 17 cases, including 7 cases with the diagnosis of spinal dural arteriovenous fistula,7 cases of perimedullary arteriovenous fistula, and 2 cases of spinal arteriovenous malformations. The results were consistent with the diagnosis of DSA or surgery. One case was poorly diagnosed. The feeding vessels were correctly determined in 12 cases, and the level of fistulas were correctly displayed in 12 cases. The level of fistulas and feeding vessels were accurately showed in 7 of 10 cases with MRA,while the other 3 cases exhibited normal with DSA.ConclusionsSpinal angiography with 256 MSCT and CE-MRA at 3.0 T can clearly show the extent of spinal vascular malformations, feeding arteries and fistula location. They are safe, noninvasive, convinient and can shorten the time of DSA diagnosis and treatment. They play an important role in diagnosis and treatment of spinal vascular malformations and postoperative follow-up.

Aim To explore the effects of chrysin on endothelial dysfunction induced by acute high glucose. Methods ① The effects of chrysin on normal isolated aortic at contraction induced by PE and on endothelial dysfunction induced by high glucose were tested in the following medium: normal group, chrysin group;normal-glucose group: glucose 11mmol·L-1 in Krebs' solution;high-glucose group: glucose 44 mmol·L-1 in Krebs' solution;mannitol group: mannitol 33 mmol·L-1 in Krebs' solution and chrysin group: 44 mmol·L-1 Glu+chrysin 1.0 μmol·L-1 in Krebs' solution.② The effects of chrysin on HUVEC cell viability after incubated in high glucose were observed in the following groups: normal-glucose group: glucose 5.5 mmol·L-1 in culture solution;high-glucose group: glucose 33.3 mmol·L-1 in culture solution;mannitol group: mannitol 27.8 mmol·L-1 in culture solution and chrysin group: chrysin(25,50 μmol·L-1)in culture solution. And the NO release was also testd in these groups. Results ① Chrysin could induce vaso-dilation in a dose-dependent manner at normal glucose. The Emax was(58.94±9.61)%,and the EC50 value was 51.9 μmol·L-1.After incubating the aortic rings with high glucose(44 mmol·L-1)for 4 h,there were significant differences in ACh-induced vascular relaxation between the normal glucose group and the high glucose group. The Emax was(32.12±3.92)%and the EC50 value was 78.0 μmol·L-1 of high glucose group(P<0.01).The endothelium-independent relaxation induced by SNP was not significantly different between the two groups. And chrysin(1.0 μmol·L-1)could reverse the decline of ACh-induced vasorelaxation response induced by high glucose(44 mmol·L-1).The Emax was(70.7±3.87)%and the EC50 value was 0.852 μmol·L-1.② The cell viability of HUVEC was depressed after incubated in high glucose, and chrysin could reverse the decline in a concentration-dependent way.And chrysin in defferent concentrations could increase the cell NO release. Conclusion Chrysin could prevent the acute high glucose-induced vascular endothelial dysfunction and could increase the NO release.

The epidemic of COVID-19 has lasted for nearly a year, the number of confirmed cases worldwide is still rising, and the trend of the epidemic is unclear. How will be the further development of COVID-19 epidemic? What is the current status of research on new drugs for coronary virus disease? Will the vaccine currently used change the epidemic pattern? In the context of the normalization of the epidemic, whether the epidemiology of other respiratory viruses will change? This article will discuss and analyze these hot and difficult issues.
