Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2003;9(7):431-432
ObjectiveTo explore the clinical features and rehabilitation effect of patients with ischemic-hypoxic encephalopathy at recovery stage. MethodsThe clinical features and ADL rehabilitation effect of 32 ischemic-hypoxic encephalopathy patients who were received rehabilitation therapy were retrospectively analyzed.ResultsThe extrapyramidal tract lesion was the most common clinical feature and most of the patients combined with cognitive function impairment. There was no significant improvement in ADL after rehabilitation (P>0.05).ConclusionsThe ADL rehabilitation effect of patients with ischemic-hypoxic encepha1opathy in the recovery stage is not effective. The key points of increasing ADL are to reduce hypertonic muscle and improve cognitive function.
4.Rehabilitation treatment on the motor function at different period after cerebral hemorrhage
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2003;9(4):246-248
ObjectiveTo observe the effect of the rehabilitation treatment on the motor function and activities of daily living(ADL) at different period after cerebral hemorrhage.Methods208 patients with cerebral hemorrhage were retrospectively analyzed. Patients were divided into five groups according to the disease course(≤1 month, 1-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-12 months and 12-24 months). Two months before and after rehabilitation treatment, the motor function of the involved limb, ADL and ambulation were assessed.ResultsAfter treatment the motor function of upper and lower limbs and hands, ambulation and ADL of ≤1 month group were improved(P<0.05); except for the hand motor function, 1-3months and 3-6 months group were also improved(P<0.05); the ambulation and ADL of 6-12 months group were improved(P<0.05),but the motor function had no change; in 12-24 months group only ADL improved. Conclusions Rehabilitation treatment do benefit for stroke patients in different periods. Treatment emphasis should vary with the start time of rehabilitation treatment.

Chinese Journal of Neurology 2011;44(10):681-684
ObjectiveTo investigate the relation between each subtype of cerebral ischemic stroke classified by NEW-TOAST criteria and the levels of blood sugar. MethodsA retrospective study in 624 patients hospitalized with acute cerebral ischemic stroke. All the patients were classified using NEW-TOAST classification standard. Blood glucose in patients with different stroke subtypes was recorded, and analyzed for the incidence of abnormal glucose metabolism in each subtype. The correlation of glucose to blood sugar, blood pressure and blood fat was analyzed using odd ratio (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI).Results(1) Among 624 patients, the most common stroke subtype by NEW-TOAST classificationis atherothrombosis (AT), followed by small arterial occlusion (SAO). One hundred and nineteen patients (19. 1% ) had diabetes history; another 40 patients(7.5% ) were newly diagnosed with diabetes in this study; and 71 patients ( 11.4% ) were found to have glycoregulation abnormality. The incidence of abnormal glycometabolism was high in patients with AT ( 40. 4% ) and SAO ( 39. 7% ). ( 2 ) Association analysis between stroke subtypes and blood sugar: x2 =14. 83,P =0. 020, r =0. 152; in SAO patients, OR was 1. 925 (95% CI 1. 392-2. 664) ; in the patients with AT, there was no correlation to blood sugar levels.Association analysis of high blood pressure in stroke subtypes: in AT patients, OR was 2. 874 (95% CI 1. 957-4. 222) ; in SAO, OR was 1. 609 (95% CI 1. 100-1. 235). Association analysis of high LDL-C in each subtype: OR in SAO was 1.419 (95% CI 1.026-1. 962) ;No significant correlation of LDL-C in AT patients, P =0. 929 ; (3) There is significant difference of frequency of abnormal glycometabolism between stroke subtypes: x2 =17. 79 ,P =0. 000; between AT and SAO patients, x2 =0. 024,P =0. 877; between AT or SAO patients to other three subtypes, P < 0. 05. ConclusionsAmong the subtypes of cerebral ischemic stroke by NEW-TOAST classification, AT and SAO are the most common subtypes. All the subtypes have correlation to the high level of blood sugar, and SAO has the highest correlation to blood sugar levels. High blood pressure may affect both large vessels and small vessels, while high LDL-C may mainly affect small vessels.

Journal of Environment and Health 1992;0(04):-
Objective To evaluate the method and result of pollution sources clearance in the reservoir area. Methods Calculated the areas of pollution sources such as pigsties, livestock barns, lavatories, holes for sewage and tombs in the reservoir area of the Yingnahe River, Dalian City after cleared them up in 2002. Collected the soil samples which were not disinfected after clearing up, and the samples disinfected with quicklime or bleaching powder. Evaluation was done according to the GB7959-1987 Standard for the Non-hazardous Treatment of Night Soil. Results The area of pollution source of each livestock barn, pigsty, lavatory, birdhouse, hole for sewage, tomb was 77.4, 74.2, 31.7, 32.1, 36.3 and 158.5 m2 respectively. The qualification rates of the E.coli and the egg of worm counts in the soil samples collected from pollution sources of pigsties disinfected and not disinfected after clearance were 85.94%, 90.31% and 96.88%, 99.38% respectively, the differences were significant. The qualification rates of the E.coli(95.78%)and the egg of worm(99.85%)in the disinfected soil samples collected from the pollution sources in the reservoir area after clearance were close with that of the control collected from the hillside wasteland in the reservoir area. Conclusion Clearance combined with disinfection can make the clearance of pollution sources in the reservoir area meet the request of related standard.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(06):-
Total glucosides of paeony (TGP, 50 mg/kg 7d, ig) could enhance the episode duration of slow-wave sleep (SWS) in normal rats, and restore the sleep parameters in the insomniac rats induced by caffeine ( 1 2. 5 mg/kg 7 d,ip)nearly to the normal level. It (50 mg/kg 3 d,ig) also increased significantly thetotal time of SWS and paradoxical sleep (PS) in the swimming rats (water temperature 25?1℃, swimming time 30 min). These results suggest that TGP probably improve the sleep of rats under the different states.
