Objective To explore the molecular mechanism for the self-limitation of adenoviral infections in human airway, the different impacts of adenovirus serotype 5 ( Ad5 ) and serotype 7 ( Ad7 ) infections on mucin 1 ( MUC1 ) expression in airway epithelial cells were preliminarily investigated. Methods The Ad5 and the Ad7 infection models were established in A549 cell line.qRT-PCR was performed to determine the transcription of MUC1 mRNA,and the expression of MUC1 in A549 cells infected by Ad5 or Ad7 was by detected Western blot. Results An up-regulation of the MUC1 mRNA level were observed after Ad5 infection for 6 h(P<0.05 ),and the protein expression level of MUC1 increased in a time-dependent manner in 48 hours of Ad5 infection, while similar response of MUC1 mRNA was absent in Ad7 infection (6 h),even after prolonged (20 h) treatment ( P > 0.05 ).Conclusion This study reveals an up-regulation of MUC1 expression as one of the early immune response to Ad5 infection, which implies that MUC1 may function fully or partially as an anti-inflammatory factor in the self-limitation effect of Ad5 infection.However,type7 adenoviral infection, may introduce a mechanism otherwise, but through MUC1.

Objective To compare the effects and prognosis of craniotomy evacuation of hematoma and hard tunnel minimally invasive perforation for hypertensive basal ganglia hemorrhage ( HBGH ) . Methods A total of 192 patients with HBGH from January 2005 to December 2013 were retrospectively reviewed , including 96 cases of craniotomy evacuation of hematoma and 96 cases of minimally invasive puncture drainage .No significant differences were found in age , gender, lesion side, and Glasgow coma scale between the two groups ( P >0.05 ).The intraoperative bleeding volume , postoperative residual hematoma , operation time, hospitalization duration , and the postoperative clinical curative effects at 3 weeks and 6 months after operation were compared between the two groups . Results As compared with the craniotomy group , the operation time of the hard tunnel minimally invasive perforation group was significantly shorter [31 (24 -39) min vs.152 (131 -170) min, Z =-11.975, P =0.000], the intraoperative blood loss was significantly less [0 ml in 30 cases and <5 ml in 66 cases vs.(332.4 ±20.2) ml],and the hospitalization duration was significantly shorter [14 (10-17) d vs.64 (44-75) d, Z=-44.217, P=0.000].However, the postoperative residual hematoma was larger in the hard tunnel minimally invasive perforation group than in the craniotomy group [13 (8-17) ml vs.7 (4-12) ml, Z=-11.573, P=0.000].At the third week of postoperation , the Glasgow Outcome Scale in the hard tunnel minimally invasive perforation group was higher [4 (2-4) vs.3 (1-4), Z=-8.215, P=0.000], and the Barthel Index was higher [(59.9 ±4.5) vs.(54.9 ±4.9), t=7.370, P=0.000] than the craniotomy group. At sixth month postoperation, the Glasgow outcome scale in the hard tunnel minimally invasive perforation group was higher [3 (2-4) vs.2 (1-4), Z=-7.448, P=0.000], and the Barthel Index was higher [(64.3 ±8.4) vs.(59.7 ±6.8), t=4.156, P=0.000].No significant differences in mortality were found between the two groups (P >0.05). Conclusion Minimally invasive hard tunnel puncture drainage is significantly superior to craniotomy evacuation of hematoma in the treatment of HBGH and deserves to be promoted for clinical performance .

Acta Anatomica Sinica 1955;0(03):-
In this paper, the morphological development of periderm of the hands and feet of 21 human embryos were investigated. The estimated gestational age (EGA) of the collected specimens were 6-24 weeks. On 36th to 41st days of EGA, the cells of embryonic periderm were seen to be flat and polygonal in shape. Microvilli were seen on the cell surface. At the end of 7th week the cells showed conspicuous central elevations as cobblestones. After 11th week, a large single bleb occurring on the cell surface were observed. At 4th month, the number of the blebs increased and complex blebs were formed. Larger blebs showed infoldings and furrows. Then the blebs disappeared and the cell surface became flat again. The cells of periderm began to shed at 17th week. The development of periderm on the hands appeared earlier than that on the feet. The degree of the development of periderm in different regions of hands and feet may be different. The possible significance of the periderm was discussed.

Objective To optimize the extraction procedures of compound Three-Flower-Tea (CTFT) by orthogonal design. Methods After having established the methods of quantifying the chlorogenic acid by TLC-UV, the orthogonal design was used to select the best extraction procedures, using chlorogenic acid content and extract yield as the measuring index, through controlling four different factors, naming extraction temperature (A), extraction time (B), watervolume added (C) and extraction number of times (D), and three levels at each factor. Result The effective factors which influenced the extraction procedures were A, C and D. Conclusion The optimum extraction procedures for CTFT should be 15-fold water volume, three-time decocting with 20 minutes per time at temperature of 100 ℃.

ve To study the mutagenecity of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitted from decoration materials to experimental animals and human subjects so as to provide some technical basis for the management of safety and hygienic quality of indoor decoration materials. Methods The micronucleus test was carried out in mice exposed to the tested toxicants in an experimental cabinet, in which the tested VOCs were prepared at the various concentrations which were 5, 10, 20 and 40 times as high as the concentrations of VOCs in decorated rooms monitored on site respectively. The frequencies of micronucleus of peripheral blood lymphocytes were examined among waitress working in decorated indoor environment. Results The concentrations of formaldehyde, benzene, methylbenzene, ethyl acetate, butyl acetate in decorated rooms were significantly higher than those in un-decorated rooms and the related national standards within half a year after decoration. The frequencies of micronucleus of mice exposed to tested VOCs with concentration being 40 times as high as those in decorated rooms were significantly higher than those of negative control group at the 15 th day after exposure. There were no significant differences in frequencies of mi-cronucleus in peripheral blood lymphocytes between waitress working in decorated rooms and un-decorated rooms. Conclusion VOCs emitted from decoration materials were uneasily diffused in air-conditioned airtight environment. The higher concentrations of VOCs simulated based on their levels in decorated rooms revealed mutagenecity to ex-perimental animals.
