Journal of Clinical Neurology 2001;0(05):-
Objective To investigate the clinical features of limbic epilepsies and limbic status epilepticus. Methods The clinical data of two patients with limbic epilepsies and one patient with limbic status epilepticus were analysed retrospectively. Results 2 patients with limbic epilepsia were all young-aged onset of the disease. They manifested bouts of unconsciousness, nervous and fear, various automatism and autonomic nerves symptom.EEG showed spike discharge in unilateral or bilateral temporal area.MRI showed left hippocampns sclerosis in one case.Another case presented calcification focus in right internal temporal. One patient with limbic status epilepticus was middle-aged male,he manifested repeatedly onset of unconscious insanity, behavior disorders and psychiatric symptoms. There was over 30 min for once onset.EEG showed ? wave or ? wave in bilateral frontal and temporal area.MRI showed arachnoid cyst in left temporal lobe anterior.Three cases were controlled by Carbamazepine or Oxcarbazepine. Conclusion The clinical feature of limbic epilepsies and limbic status epilepticus have bouts of automatism, automic nerve symptom and psychiatric symptom attact, which have relation to impairment of hippocampus and almond body in interal temporal.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the efficacy and feasibility of compound glycyrrhizin in combination with anisodamine for the treatment of allergic purpura. METHODS: 60 patients with allergic purpura were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. The control group was given only the conventional therapy while the treatment group was treated with compound glycyrrhizin plus anisodamine in addition to the conventional therapy as stated in the control group. The course of treatment for both groups was 10 continuous days. RESULTS: The total effective rates for the treatment group and the control group were 90% and 60% (P

China Pharmacist 2015;(3):520-522
Objective:To establish an HPLC method for the determination of gabapentin and the related substances in gabapentin capsules. Methods:A Kromasil C8 column (250 mm × 4. 6 mm,5μm)was used. The mobile phase was methanol-0. 01 mol·L-1 po-tassium dihydrogen phosphate solution (adjusting pH to 6. 9 with 2 mol·L-1 potassium hydroxide) (40∶60). The detection wave-length was 210 nm. The column temperature was 40℃ and the injection volume was 20μl. The main component and the known impuri-ty were determined by an external standard method. The unknown impurities were determined by a self-control method. Results: The calibration curve of gabapentin was linear within the range of 2.5-20.0 mg·ml-1(r=0.999 9). The average sample recovery was 100. 74% with RSD of 0. 24%(n=5). Conclusion:The method is simple, accurate, specific and applicable in the determination of gabapentin and the related substances in gabapentin capsules.

Objective To observe The liver lipogenic gene expression of animal model of phlegm and dampness syndrome. Methods According to the theory "Obese people have much more phlegm and dampness", the animal model of phlegm and dampness was built by high fat feeding. After 10 weeks' high fat feeding, we examined liver HE slice, the level of lipids in the normal and model group rats .The liver lipogenic gene expression including LXRα, SREBP-1c, and FAS were detected by fluorescence real time quantative PCR. Results Compared with that of the normal group rat, there was increasing lipids both in serum and liver in the model rats. There was typical appearance of fatty accumulation in the liver cells examined by liver HE staining. The expression of SREBP-Ic and FAS was much higher in phlegm and dampness group than that in the normal group, although there was no difference in the expression of LXRα. Conclusion The fatty accumulation of liver cell in phlegm and dampness group has a close relation to the enhancement of the liver lipoganic gene expression.

To investigate the anticancer effects of ring C in 18β-glycyrrhetinic acid (GA), a series of GA derivatives featured with 9(11)-ene moiety in ring C were designed and synthesized. The structures were confirmed by IR, LC-MS and 1H NMR. Their inhibitory effects towards human prostate cancer PC-3 and leukemia HL-60 cell lines were determined. Most of the derivatives displayed stronger antiproliferative activities than GA. Particularly, compound 14 showed promising anticancer activity with the GI50 values of 4.48 µmol · L(-1) and 1.2 µmol · L(-1) against PC-3 and HL-60 cells respectively, which is worth further study.

Objective To investigate the prediction value of ultrasound endometrial pattern at the day of hCG administration on clinical outcome in patients undergoing in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET).Methods 679 cycles of IVF-ET conducted between January 2011 and December 2012 in Beijing Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital were reviewed retrospectively. All cycles were divided into three groups based on the endometrial pattern measured on the hCG day:group A (n =411) with triple line endometrium, group B (n =228) with no obvious triple line endometrium, group C (n =40) with homogeneous hyperechoic endometrium.Clinical outcomes such as implantation rate, pregnancy rate and miscarriage rate were analyzed. Results Among three groups, the implantation rates were 27.05%,20.33%,19.57%,respectively (x2 =9.04,P =0.01); the pregnancy rates were 34.31%,25.00%,12.50%,respectively (x2 =12.20,P =0.00).The implantation rate and pregnancy rate in group A were higher than the other two groups (P <0.05).The miscarriage rates were 16.31%,19.30%,40.00%,respectively(P > 0.05),there were no significant difference among them. Conclusions The ultrasound endometrium pattern on the day of hCG administration has predictive value on clinical outcome in patients undergoing in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the quality of reports published in recent 10 years in China about quantitative analysis of syndrome differentiation for diabetes mellitus (DM) in order to explore the methodological problems in these reports and find possible solutions. METHODS: The main medical literature databases in China were searched. Thirty-one articles were included and evaluated by the principles of clinical epidemiology. RESULTS: There were many mistakes and deficiencies in these articles, such as clinical trial designs, diagnosis criteria for DM, standards of syndrome differentiation of DM, case inclusive and exclusive criteria, sample size and estimation, data comparability and statistical methods. CONCLUSION: It is necessary and important to improve the quality of reports concerning quantitative analysis of syndrome differentiation of DM in light of the principles of clinical epidemiology.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver (NAFLD) is one of the most commonly liver diseases. Food control and proper amount of physical exercise are reliable measures to treat it. TCM has accumulated plenty experiences and found solid basis in treating NAFLD. In this article, we made a summarization and study on mechanism and effective substance of TCM in treating NAFLD clinically.

Organic chemistry is an important foundation course for medicine, chemistry and other majors in universities and colleges. In this study, combined with the characteristics of pharmacy students in local colleges and universities, teachers introduced case teaching, enhanced curriculum connotation, and explored the integration of green chemistry concepts into the teaching process of organic chemistry, so as to cultivate pharmaceutical professionals with environmental protection concept and safety awareness. The practice shows that this teaching model not only improves students' attention to organic chemistry and learning efficiency, but also improves students' comprehensive quality.
