Objective To study the chemical constituents of the sea cucumber Holothuria fuscocinerea collected from the South China Sea.Methods The compounds were isolated by Pyricularia oryzae bioassay-guided fractionation method in combination with extraction and partition as well as multi-chromatography.Their structures were determined on the basis of spectral analysis and chemical evidence.Results Three triterpene glycosides were isolated from the n-BuOH extract and identified as: pervicoside C(Ⅰ),holothurin A(Ⅱ) and DS-holoturin B(Ⅲ);Four compounds [uracil(Ⅳ),thymine(Ⅴ),thymidine(Ⅵ) and 2'-deoxyuridine(Ⅶ)] were obtained from the CHCl_(3) extract.Conclusion All the compounds were isolated from this sea cucumber for the first time while Compound Ⅰ was first obtained as pure compound.Compound Ⅰ and Ⅱ were active compounds causing morphological abnormality of P.oryzae mycelia and exhibited cytotoxicity against two cancer cell lines.

Objective To investigate the clinical and pathogenic features and other related factors of hospital-acquired bloodstream infections (HABSI) in geriatric wards,in order to provide the scientific basis for clinical diagnosis and therapy.Methods Clinical characteristics and other related factors of HABSI in patients admitted to the Department of Geriatrics of our hospital from June 2010 to October 2015 were retrospectively analyzed.Results Of the 64 elderly patients with HABSI,malignant tumor (39.1％) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (32.8％) were among the main disorders for their admission to the hospital.There were 53 cases of primary bloodstream infections and 11 cases of secondary bloodstream infections,accounting for 82.8％ and 17.2％,respectively.Primary infections involved mostly the respiratory,urinary and hepatobiliary systems.13 patients died,giving a fatality rate of 20.3％.Multiple logistic regression analysis showed that the retention time of central venous catheters or implantable venous access ports was ≥ 7 days (OR =49.51) and the duration of proton pump inhibitor administration was ≥3 days (OR=13.63),and these were independent risk factors for HABSI in elderly patients.A total of 66 strains of pathogenic bacteria were detected from the 64 patients.The most common G+ type was coagulase negative staphylococcus (18.2 ％) and the most common G-bacteria were Escherichia coli (18.2％) and Klebsiella pneumonia (15.2％),with the latter two making up 54.5％ of the extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL)-producing strains.Conclusions HABSI can seriously affect the prognosis of elderly patients.Reduction in invasive procedures,active prevention and treatment of tumors,improvement of the internal environment and protection of vital organ functions are the main measures to reduce the bloodstream infection rate in geriatric wards.

Objective To study efficacy and its affected factors of laparoscopic treatment for infertility caused by distal tubal obstruction. Methods 113 infertile patients with occlusive distal tubal disease received leparoscopic surgery from January to December 1999.The postoperative pregnancy rate was observed. Results Occlusive tubal disease was presented in 64 cases (56.6%),Among them 46 cases had been followed up and 10 cases (21.7%) obtained interuterine pregnancy.The pregnancy rate of normal fimbria and unobstructed tube after lysis of periadnexal adhesion was 47.4%,26 cases of laparoscopic salpingostomy had no pregnancy. Conclusions laparoscopic surgery may be effective in the treatment of periadnexal adhesions in tubal infertility,and had no effect in salpingostomy.

Objective To analyze the comparability and correlation of reticulocyte parameters on the Beckman‐Coulter LH780 (LH780)and Sysmex XN‐1000(XN‐1000)hematology analyzers .Methods 80 blood samples were measured by the two instru‐ments ,the RBC count ,percentage of Ret(Ret% ) ,Ret value(Ret#)and immature reticulocyte fraction(IRF) were analyzed ,and the correlation of Ret% ,Ret# and IRF between two instruments were also analysed .The correlation between percentage of high laser reticulocyte(HLR% ) of LH780 and percentage of middle fluorescent reticulogyte(MFR% )+percentage of high fluorescent reticu‐locyte(HFR% ) of XN‐1000 were compared using two calculation methods of each instrument ,and the application value of HLR%were analysed .Results No significant differences were founded in RBC count ,Ret% ,and Ret# between the two instruments(P>0 .05) ,while there was statistical difference in IRF between the the two instruments (P<0 .05) .The relative deviation coincidence rate of RBC count was 97 .5% ,the correlation coefficent (r) of Ret% ,Ret# and IRF were 0 .912 ,0 .895 and 0 .666 respectively . There were statistical differences and correlations between HLR% and MFR% + HFR% when using calculation method of XN‐1000 and LH780 respectively(r were 0 .666 and 0 .767 respectively ,P<0 .05) .Conclusion The RBC count could meet the matc‐hing requirement ,and the Ret% and Ret # may be highly correlated on the two instruments .While the reference range of IRF should be established in each instrument .

Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of inhibitor of apoptosis protein XIAP in childhood acute leukemia(AL).Methotis The expression of XIAP protein was detected by immunohistochemical assay in 54 children with AL.including 26 newly diagnosed and untreated AL children.23 children in remission and 5 relapsed.The eontrol included 10 children with normal bone marrow.Results The level of XIAP proteins in the bone marrow of newly diagnosed AL children was higher than that in remission and normal controls(P＜0.05),compared with that in relapsed children,with no statistical difference(P＞0.05).The level of XIAP protein in remission was higher than that in normal controls(P＜0.05).The level of XIAP protein in ALL and ANLL in newly diagnosed AL children was compared. with no statistical difference(P＞0.05).Conclusion The higher expression of XIAP may contribute to the pathogenesis and the progress of the childhood AL.

Objective To investigate the relationship between social support and subjective well-be-ing in only-child-lost ( OCL ) people, and the mediating effect of self-efficacy in this relationship. Methods By stratified cluster sampling,206 only-child loss people were investigated with Social Support Rating Scale ( SSRS) ,General Self-Efficacy Scale ( GSES) and Index of Well-Being ( IWB) ,and data were analyzed with SPSS19.0 software and Amos17.0 software. Results ①Scores of SSRS,GSES and IWB in only-child-lost people were(31.78±8.18),(24.12±0.67) and (8.38±3.05). ②Correlation analysis showed that scores of GSES,SSRS and 3 dimensions of SSRS were positively correlated with scores of IWB ( r=0. 542,0.332,0.214,0.332,0.216;P<0.05) . ③Self-efficacy partially mediates the relationship between social support and subjective well-being through mediating effect test(χ2/ df=1.986,GFI=0.985,AGFI=0.942, RMSEA=0.069),mediating effect accounted for 16.08%.Conclusion Social support is an important factor which plays a direct or indirect role in subject well-being. Self-efficacy is the intermediate link between social support and subject well-being.

Objective To perform thermoluminescent measurements of radial dose function and anisotropy function of a newly designed 192Ir microSelectron-HDR source, and establish evaluation methods for HDR dosimetry.Methods A polystyrene phantom with sylindrical holes in different measure positions was designed to accommodate thermo luminescent dosimeter (TLD) rods and radiation source.TLD rods with similar sensitivity were placed on a semicircle around the source center which had been precisely localized by either radiographic means or dose measurement.Dose-rates were measured at θ = 90° and r = 1-14 cm to calculate radial dose function (gL (r)), while measured along polar angles θ = 0° -165°(interval 15°) at radial distances r = 1 cm, 3 cm and 5 cm to calculate anisotropy function (F(r,θ)).All data were compared with those calculated by Monte Carlo (MC) method.The t-test was used for the statistics.Results The values of gL (r) were 1.007 -0.681 by calculation and 1.007 -0.598 by measurement with r = 1 - 14 cm(t = 0.00 - 2.89, all P > 0.05).The values of F (r,θ) were 0.631 - 1,0.660 - 1 and 0.696 - 1 by calculation, while 0.701 - 1, 0.668 - 1 and 0.629 - 1 by measurement at 1 cm, 3 cm and 5 cm with θ=0° -165°(t=0.40 -1.63, 0.02 -2.10, 0.08 -2.03, all P>0.05).Conclusions The results of radial dose function and anisotropy function measured by TLD measurement are in consistent with those calculated by MC calculations, which can be applied in treatment planning system as original input.

OBJECTIVE:To study the protective effect of Compound pueraria tablets on the aging model rats. METHODS:The rats were divided into normal group,model control group,positive control group (vitamin E) and Compond pueraria tablets high-dose,medium-dose and low-dose (800,400,200 mg/kg) groups. The aging model rats were made by injection of D-galac-tose solution for 30 d in latter 5 groups,and they were given relevant medicine at same time every 7 days for consecutive 56 days since 31st day. SOD activity and MDA content in the serum and myocardium and LPF contents in the myocardium were determined after the last dosing,and apoptotic cells were counted and the pathology of cerebral tissues were observed. RESULTS:Compared with normal group,the activity of SOD in the serum and myocardium were decreased significantly in model control group,MDA and LPF contents in the myocardium and the number of apoptotic cells were increased significantly(P<0.01);significant myocar-dial cell injury was found. Compared with model control group,the activity of SOD in the serum and myocardium were increased significantly,while MDA and LPF content in the myocardium and the number of apoptotic cells in Compound pueraria tablets high-dose,medium-dose and low-dose groups were decreased significantly(P<0.05 or P<0.01);myocardial cell morphology was improved significantly. CONCLUSIONS:Compound pueraria tablets has obvious protective effect on myocardial cells in aging rats induced by D-galactose,the mechanism maybe related to the increase of SOD activity and the decrease of the content of MDA and LPF.

Proteins in coagulative and fibrinolytic systems were measured in 50 type 2 diabetic patients and 50 normal controls. Proteins related with fibrinolytic system in the diabetic patients were significantly higher than those in normal controls. The concentration of soluble thrombomodulin (sTM) was negatively correlated with the activity of protein C and positively correlated with plasmin-? 2 -antiplasmin complex in type 2 diabetic patients, suggesting that the increase of sTM is associated with hypercoagulability and enhanced fibrinolysis.
