Objective To investigate three-dimensional dose distribution for 103Pd radioactive stent. Methods The surface dose, the axial dose and radial dose in surface for 103pd stent (3 mm × 13 mm) were estimated by experimental simulating method, analytic function and MCNP4b code. Three-dimensional dose distribution was calculated by MCNP4b code. Results The surface dose of 103pd stent was 0. 109 and 0. 106 Gy estimated by experimental simulating method and MCNP4b code, between which the difference was less than 3%. The axial dose calculated by analytic function and MCNP4b code was well consistent, and so was the radial dose estimated by the three methods. Dose rate table were estimated by MCNP4b code. Conclnsions Dose distribution for 103 Pd stent estimated by the three methods is relatively accurate. Three-dimensional dose table estimated by MCNP4b may be used to calculate dose for 103Pd stent in animal experiment and clinical application.

Objective To investigate the relationship between microalbuminuria (MAU) and insulin resistance syndrome. Methods A total of 240 patients(130 of them with hypertension) were stratified by oral glucose tolerance status 〔normal glucose tolerance(NGT), impaired glucose tolerance(IGT), and type 2 diabetes mellitus(DM)〕. Morning urine albumin concentration and anthropometric indices, serum lipid, fasting plasma true insulin concentrations were also measured. Results The prevalence of MAU ( defined as morning urine albumin concentration between 20 and 40 mg/L) was increased as the glucose tolerance worsed (8.8%in NGT, 13.7% in IGT, 28.6% in DM, ? 2 =9.313, P

Endothelial cell injury is a major contributor to cardiovascular diseases. The 2,3,5,4’-Tetrahydroxystilbene-2-O-β-D-Glucoside (TSG) contributes to alleviate human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) injury through mechanisms still know a little. This study aims to clarify the TSG effects on gene expression (mRNA and microRNA) related to oxidative stress and endoplasmic reticulum stress induced by H2O2 in HUVECs. We found that TSG significantly reduced the death rate of cells and increased intracellular superoxide dismutase activity. At qRT-PCR, experimental data showed that TSG significantly counteracted the expressions of miR-9-5p, miR-16, miR-21, miR-29b, miR-145-5p, and miR-204-5p. Besides, TSG prevented the expression of ATF6 and CHOP increasing. In contrast, TSG promoted the expression of E2F1. In conclusion, our results point to the obvious protective effect of TSG on HUVECs injury induced by H2O2, and the mechanism may through miR16/ATF6/ E2F1 signaling pathway.

Objective:To explore the value of the aMAP risk score (age, male, albumin -bilirubin, and platelets) to predict early recurrence within one year after microwave ablation in patients with small hepatocellular carcinoma. Methods:This was a retrospective study that enrolled 142 patients diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma who were treated with microwave ablation in the Department of Hepatology Unit of Nanfang Hospital, Southern Medical University from July 2016 to July 2021. The cohort enrolled 121 male and 21 female patients, including 110 patients that were <60 years old. All the patients were followed-up after microwave ablation to evaluate residual tumor and recurrence of tumor by computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging. The observation indices mainly included general data and imaging data of patients. Using the X-tile tools, patients were divided into two groups: a high aMAP score group and a low aMAP score group. Multivariate Cox regression analysis was conducted for comparison of independent risk factors. Results:Multivariate Cox regression showed that high aMAP score, maximum tumor diameter >20 mm, and high AFP were the independent risk factors of early recurrence (all P<0.05). Kaplan-Meier survival curves showed that the median recurrence-free survival was 25.5 months in the low aMAP score group and 6.1 months in the high aMAP score group ( P=0.001). Conclusions:The aMAP score could predict the early recurrence within 1 year of small hepatocellular carcinoma after microwave ablation. Patients with high aMAP score should undergo rigorous postoperative follow-up evaluations..
