1.Clinical Analyses of Lung Cancer-related Anemia
Journal of Chinese Physician 2000;0(12):-
Objective To investigated the causes, characteristics and therapy of lung cancer-related anemia. Methods The clinical data of 334 patients with lung cancer, who were treated at our hospital during the last decade, were analyzed retrospectively. Results 76 patients with lung cancer had complication of anemia, including 34 cases of mild anemia, 37 cases of moderate anemia and 5 cases of severe anemia. A bone marrow biopsy were performed in 68 patients, 35 patients of which had tumor metastasis in the bone marrow. Treatment of 7 patients with lung cancer-related anemia with erythropoietin had short-term curative effect. Conclusions Anemia was common in lung cancer patients with frequency of 22 8 %, which was mild and middle. The main causes of lung cancer-related anemia were tumor metastasis in the bone marrow, nutritional deficiencies and blood loss.

Objective To explore the clinical application of FP-PCR method to detect MP-DNA.Methods Five hundred and sixty-three children suspected of MP infection were enrolled in experimental group. FP-PCR was adopted to detect MP-DNA. MP-DNA was re-detected later in 60 children. At the same time,MP-Ab (MP antibody) was detected by means of particle agglutination. MP-Ab was re-detected one or two weeks later. Also 20 healthy children were selected as the control group. Results The positive rate of MP-DNA and MP-Ab were 34. 99% and 35.52% respectively, which showed no significant difference (x2 =0. 31, P > 0. 05). The coincidence of the two methods was 97. 69%. But the positive rate of MP-DNA was significantly higher than that of MP-Ab in the early stage(30. 48% vs 10. 16%) (x2 = 74. 46, P < 0. 05).The sensitivity and specificity of FP-PCR were 96. 00% and 98.62% respectively. The result of reviewed MP-DNA was consistent with the clinical diagnosis. Conclusion FP-PCR method is very sensitive, convenient and stable. It is fit for the clinical application ,especially the diagnosis of early MP infection. It helps to identify those who had been infected with MP before.

Pre-S2 protein in 78 samples of liver from patients with various types of hepatitis B was determined by immunohistochemical method.45 out of 78 samples (57.69%) were positive for pre-S2.The location and expression patterns of pre-S2 were similar to those of HBsAg,i.e.,pre-S2 was found in cytoplasm of hepatocytes, epithelial cells of bile ducts, and hepatocellular carcinoma cells, etc,Four different patterns diffuse, inclusion, submembranous, and membranous type were demonstrated. The membranous expression of pre-S2 was often associated with activity of liver diseases. The positive rate of pre-S2 was significantly higher in HBcAg positive group than HBcAg negative group. It seems that pre-S2 protein of HBV may be a replicative marker of HBV.
