1.Research in health behavior of senile patients with hypertension and influencing factors
Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2012;28(3):1-4
Objective To investigate health behavior of senile patients with hypertension and influencing factors. Methods Using general data scale, health conception scale,self-rated abilities for health practice scale and health-promoting lifestyle profile,206 patients with hypertension in the clinic and inpatient department were selected by convenience sampling method to investigate their health behavior. Results The score of health behavior of senile patients with hypertension was (72.25±16.66),23.8% of patients were at high level.Among the subscale of health-promoting lifestyle profile, the score of nutrition was the highest, activity and healthy responsibility were the lowest. The score of health promotion was positively correlated with health conception,self-efficacy and education level, while negatively correlated with unhealthy habits. Conclusions Education about activity and healthy responsibility should be enhanced,we should set up right health conception, develop effective measures to enhance self-efficacy in order to improve health behavior of older patients with hypertension.
2.Expression of bcl-2 in Mareks disease tumor
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 2001;17(8):729-
AIM: Expression of bcl-2 in Marek's disease (MD) tumor was analyzed and relationship between bcl-2 gene and lymphomagensis clarified. METHODS: Model of MD tumor was reproduced on SPF White Leghorn chickens, collected tumor and normal tissues, conserved in liquid nitrogen. Total RNA in the tissues was obtained by AGPC method, detected their concentration and analyzed by 1% denatured agrose gel containing formaldehyde. A plasmid (pTTCB1) that contains chicken bcl-2 1.2 kb fragment was amplified, extracted and digested with restriction endonuclease (RE), the 1.2 kb fragment was recoveried and puarified with purigene kit, labeled probes with [α-32P]. Expression of bcl-2 was analyzed with Dot blot and Northern blot hybridization. RESULTS: (1) There are bcl-2 transcripts in MD tumor and relevent normal tissues; (2) Expression of bcl-2 in MD tumor is much higher than that in normal tissues. CONCLUSION: Our findings indicated that expressive products of chicken bcl-2 promotes lymphomagenesis of MD by blocking apoptotic cell death.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(06):-
Objective To investigate the effects of long-term glucocorticoid therapy on bone mineral density(BMD) in the patients with glumerulose disease. Methods 41 patients with glumerulose disease were prospectively studied. The BMD of lumbar spine (L 2-4 ) and femur was measured using dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry at base line, and at every 3 to 6 months interval after receiving glucocorticoid therapy. Vitamin D receptor (VDR) gene polymorphism was detected using PCR-RFLP. Results ⑴ Every measured site BMD decreased(29 9~83 8)mg/cm 2 after 15-month administration of glucocorticorids, and BMD decrease in L 2-4 and femoral trochanter was significantly greater (P

Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2016;15(10):795-797
Semont maneuver was performed in 97 patients with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo involving the posterior semicircular canal.Among 97 patients the Semont maneuver was successful in 69 cases and failed in 28 cases. There were three nystagmus patterns during the third position of the Semont maneuver:orthotropic nystagmus (n=45), no nystagmus (n=42) and reversed nystagmus (n=10);and the effective rates in three groups were 93%, 64% and 0%, respectively (P<0.05).The duration of latency period and nystagmus status in Dix-Hallpike test has no effect on repositioning efficacy ( P>0.05) .

Objective To know the sleeping quality of clinical nurses in Urumqi, and analyze the influencing factors, put forward the corresponding countermeasures for different factors to improves the sleeping quality. Methods Randomly selected 407 nurses in clinical departments as the research objects in Urumqi top three hospitals, using the Pittsburgh sleep quality index scale (PSQI) and general situation questionnaire to investigate, and then analyzed the results of the survey. Results The incidence rate of sleeping disorders in emergency nurses was the highest (80.00%), followed by pediatric, intensive department, internal medicine, surgical department, operating room, outpatient and others was the lowest (39.02%). Gender (t=-2.015, P =0.045), age (F=8.509, P =0.000), establishment(F=3.609, P =0.013) were the influence factors of PSQI scores. Only the difference of the scores of hypnotic drugs between different ethnic groups was significant, P<0.05, while the others had no significant difference, P>0.05. Conclusions Poor sleeping quality of nurses existed in every department, its sleeping quality status, department, gender, age and establishment have certain correlation, interventions should be strengthened, to improve the overall level of sleeping.

Objective To know the effect of using clustering intervention on insulin injection in the patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods 123 patients with type 2 diabetes were selected in the research.Clustering intervention was carried out in these patients with a series of effective measures to develop and integrate the application.Compared the controlling condition of blood sugar and the condition of insulin injection in patients by self control. Results The fasting blood glucose and the postprandial blood glucose after the intervention was (5.91±0.41) mmol/L and (8.27±0.53)mmol/L respectively, which was significant lower than that of before the intervention [(8.94±1.32) mmol/L and (11.15±1.34)mmol/L respectively,P<0.01].Conclusion Clustering intervention can regulate insulin injections, improve patients' ability of self-management and the treatment compliance, effectively control blood sugar and delay or reduce complications after the implementation of cluster intervention.

Objective To analysis the clinical features of valproate (VPA)-induced encephalopathy in elderly people in order to improve our cognition toward it.Methods From March 2003 to March 2011,a total of 10 cases with VPA-induced encephalopathy were retrospectively reviewed and summarized. The data collected included clinical manifestations, biochemistry,EEG and therapeutic effects. Results In the 10 cases,8 were males and 2 females. The age ranged from 65-88 years old (mean age 75.4±10.3 years).7 subjects were on treatment with VPA alone, and the other 3 in combination with other anti-epileptic drugs. The serum VPA level in this study ranged from 62.1-122.7 μg/ml with mean of (92.3 ± 30.1) mg/L (normal range 50-100 mg/L).All subjects presented with confusion and cognitive impairment. The serum ammonia level in this study ranged from 56.7-225.1 μmol/L with mean of (101.4±55.2) μmol/L (normal range 11-32 μmol/L).All cases were with normal liver function.Electroencephalography was characterized by signs of severe encephalopathy with continuous generalized slowing,a predominance of θ and δ activity, occasional bursts of epileptiform discharges and triphasic waves. All cases were improved 3-21 days after VPA withdrawal. Conclusions VPA-induced encephalopathy that manifested in confusion and cognitive impairment is not uncommon in elderly patients and it has a good prognosis and the early withdrawal of VPA lads to improvement in almost all cases.
