1.Assessing the trunk control of children with spastic cerebral palsy
Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2013;(4):278-281
Objective To investigate the trunk stability control of spastic cerebral palsy patients, and to analyze their visual compensation and the resulting symmetrical balance of the trunk. Methods Twenty children with spastic cerebral palsy and 20 healthy children formed the experimental and control groups respectively.Their balance was tested using the PK 254P rehabilitation system.Trunk stability and symmetry parameters were measured in standardized silent sitting for 30s with the eyes open and closed. The anterior-posterior (AP) and mediolateral deviations of the center of pressure (COP),the average speed of COP excursions in each direction, the COP perimeter, and the ellipse area of the COP were quantified. Results The two groups showed statistically significant differences in the average values of all the variables measured. The differences in the trunk stability control parameters of the experimental group between the eyes-open and eyes-closed conditions were significantly greater than those of the control group. The offset of the medial-lateral COP in the spastic cerebral palsy subjects was nearly symmetrical (the average position of the COP on the X axis was close to zero),while the anterior-posterior offset tended to the anterior direction (the average position of the COP on the Y axis was significantly positive). The medial-lateral and anterior-posterior offsets of the health subjects were nearly symmetrical (both close to zero). Conclusion Children with spastic cerebral palsy have less trunk stability control than healthy children. They rely more on visual cues in compensation.Their medial-lateral COP control is nearly symmetrical, but their anteriorposterior posture tends to the anterior.
2.Clinical Effects of Meropenem in the Treatment of Severe Bacterial Lung infection
China Pharmacist 2015;(5):812-813,814
Objective:To observe the clinical effects and adverse reactions of meropenem in the treatment of severe lung infection. Methods:Totally 62 severe bacterial lung infection patients were randomly divided into two groups randomly. The patients in the con-trol group (31 cases ) were treated with cefoperazone / sulbactam 2-8 g in 100 ml 0. 9% sodium chloride injections,ivd,q12h, and the treatment group (31 cases ) was treated with meropenem 1 g in 100 ml 0. 9% sodium chloride injections,ivd,q8h. The treatment course was 14 days. The bacterial clearance rate, dual infection rate, clinical efficacy and adverse drug reactions of the two groups were observed and compared. Results:The bacterial clearance rate in the control group was 85. 2% and that in the treatment group was 92. 85% (P>0. 05). The incidence rate of dual infection in the treatment group (3. 6%) was significant lower than that in the control group (P<0. 05). The total effective rate in the treatment group (96. 77%) was significant higher than that in the control group ( P<0. 05). The adverse reactions of the two groups had no significant difference (P>0. 05). Conclusion:Meropenem is ef-fective in the treatment of severe bacterial lung infection. It can clear bacteria and reduce dual infection effectively, which shows better efficacy than cefoperazone / sulbactam.

Bio-safety problem was emerging as more and more important with the development of biotechnology, and many governments concerned about it.We analyzed the different category of biotechnology related with bio-safety problem, and found out its main influencing factors and safety results. In the course of research and development of biotechnology, misuse, abuse and non-moral use are three main human factors. We concluded that the situation of bio-threat would be more diverse, and also the misuse chance would increase. It will be benefited that public health manager make regulations and legislature with full dimension of bio-safety assessment of different biotechnologies.

The paper constructs the evaluation index system for novelty retrieval organizations according to the demand of quality evaluation in these organizations .This index system and its weight coefficients were determined using Delphi and Analytical Hierarchy Process ( AHP) methods. The whole evaluation index system based on novelty retrieval regulations , comprises of four first-level indicators and fourteen second-level indicators .The index system facilitates the construction of novelty retrieval organizations and the improvement of novelty retrieval quality .It also provides reference for setting evalua-tion standards of military medical novelty retrieval organizations .

Stem cell research is one of the most notable fields in life science at the end of 20th century and the beginning of 21st century, which has made a considerable contribution to every aspect of life science, especially to the regenerative medicine. However,a great debate on ethics has also arisened all over the world on the research of human embryonic stem cells. This paper gives the cause of the debate, provides the analysis of the stem cell legislations among various countries, which have different impacts on the research of stem cell and finally points out its enlightenment to our country.

Chinese Journal of Medical Library and Information Science 2014;(10):22-25
After the development of medical and health think tanks in China and foreign countries were compara-tively analyzed, the problems of their development in China were pointed out, including a fewer number of inde-pendent think tanks and independently selected studies, and less international influencing power, with measures for the development of medical and health think tanks in China put forward, such as paying attention to their competi-tiveness, intensifying their support strength, and optimizing the employed.

Military Medical Sciences 2015;(4):296-301
Objective To analyze domestic and foreign papers on H5N1 virus research using literature metrology and visualized knowledge mapping. Methods Pajek, Bibexcel, and VoSviewer software were used based on Web of Knowledge platform. Results Study on H5N1 virus has been a research focus wide since 2005 and a series of institutions and investi-gators have appeared, with US being the leader in this area and followed by China. The most popular topics of studies on H5N1 included its virology, epidemiology, basic research, anti-virus drugs and vaccines. Conclusion Studies on H5N1 have received more attention, which suggests that more efforts have to be made in China in terms of communication and co-operation with key institutions and famous researchers so as to achieve more success in key areas.
