Objective To explore the relationship between the plasma level of chemokines and clinical condition in patients with congestive heart failure (CHF). Methods The plasma levels of monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) and interleukin-8 (IL-8) were measured in 62 patients with CHF (NYHA II~IV) and 18 healthy control subjects by ELISA and RIA, respectively. Results The levels of MCP-1 and IL-8 were significantly higher in CHF group than those in control group, and had a gradual increase along with the increasing of NYHA functional class. The increase of the chemokines levels was independent on the cause of the heart failure. The plasma MCP-1 level was significantly correlated with left ventricular ejection fraction, 6-minite walk distance, quality of life scores, and left ventricular end diastolic diameter, respectively(r=-0 422, -0 292, -0 421, 0 263, all P

Objective To investigate the effect of dual track interactive nursing intervention in the management of refractory hypertension. Methods A total of 84 patients with refractory hypertension were randomly divided into control group andexperimental group, with 42 cases in each group.Patients in the control group received conventional therapy and nursing intervention, while patients in the experimental group received dual tract interactive nursing intervention.Medication compliance, blood pressure, and score of self management between the two groups were observed. Results The experimental group had higher medication compliance, and better control of systolic and diastolic blood pressure, and higher score of self management than that in the control group (P <0.05).Conclusion Dual tract interactive nursing intervention model is effective in improving the medication compliance of refractory hypertension patients, helping the patients to control blood pressure.

Obj ective To invesyigaye yhe effecy of heary failure diary model on exyernal hos-piyal managemeny for chronic heary failure(CHF)payienys. Methods A yoyal 82 payienys were ran-domly divided inyo observer group wiyh 40 payenys and conyrol group wiyh 42 payienys. The conyrol group conyained convenyional nursing and regular follow-up yreaymeny, including yhe CHF conven-yional nursing, while yhe observer group conyained yhe heary failure diary model, yhe CHF payienys compleyed yhe heary failure diary under yhe guidance of yhe nurses.Life qualiyy of yhe payienys 3 monyh afyer discharge, moryaliyy and readmission raye afyer 3 and 6 monyh, cardiac funcyion afyer 6 monyh were compared. Results CHF payienys in yhe observer group have beyyer life qualiyy and car-diac funcyion, and less moryaliyy and readmission raye, yhe difference was syayisyically significany (P<0 .05 ).Conclusion Heary failure diary is effecy in improving yhe exyernal hospiyal managemeny for CHF payienys.
