Chinese Journal of Marine Drugs 1994;0(02):-
We studied a species of Haima-the Sea Horse Hippocampus japonicus (SHHJ). After SHHJ was given to male rats orally for twenty days. The plasma concentration of testosterone,LH and FSH was assayed by RIA,and the histological change in seminal vesicles and prostate gland was observed. It has been showed that SHHJ can obviously elevate plasma level of testosterone and improve the histological change of seminal vesicles and prostate gland in castrated rats. but there was no affect in LH、FSH. SHHJ can obviously promoted the content of testosterone of plasma and can obviously enhance the weight of the normal rat's prostate gland, seminal vesicle.

OBJECTIVE:To compare the therapeutic effects of8-methoxypsoralen(8-MOP)liposomal gel with other dosage forms of8-MOP in equal concentration on guinea-pig models of vitiligo.METHODS:The guinea-pigs were divided into normal control,model,8-MOP tincture,8-MOP gel and8-MOP liposome gel groups. The vitiligo model was established by chemical decoloration method in all groups except normal control group, then corresponding preparations were topically ap?plied. The therapeutic effects were compared and the melanogenesis of hair follicles, serum acetylcholinesterases and skin MDA contents were observed in all groups.RESULTS:8-MOP liposomal gel had better therapeutic effects on the animal models, and could improve the dermatic melanogenesis and acetylcholinesterase of the animal model, and also had effect on MDA of skin. The differences between8-MOP liposomal gel group and model group were highly significant(P

Aim To investigate the effects of Liensinine on platelet aggregation and coagulation function in rats,as well as the effect on experimental thrombosis. Methods Inhibition rates of platelet aggregation for Liensinine in vivo were determined by the model of platelet aggregation induced by adenosine diphosphate.Coagulation time of mice was measured by capillary vessel method, and bleeding time of mice was measured by tail-cutting method. The effects of Liensinine were also evaluated on prothrombin time(PT),activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT)and thrombin time(TT).The model of artery-vein bypass thrombosis and Chandler's model were established to observe the effect of Liensinine. Results The result showed that Liensinine 5 and 10 mg?kg-1 had significant effect on inhibition of platelet aggregation and markedly prolonged bleeding time, coagulation time,PT,APTT and TT.Liensinine 5 and 10 mg?kg-1 inhibited the artery-vein bypass and Chandler's thrombus in different degree, reduced the thrombus weight significantly (either wet ordry). Conclusion Liensinine exerts remarkable effect against thrombosis and possesses strong effect against platelet aggregation and coagulation.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1987;0(03):-
AIM The purpose is to study the effect of Di p Cl benzoyl linesinine on experimental arrhythmias. METHODS The models used were caused by aconitine, ouabain and CaCl 2 repectively. RESULTS Di p Cl benzoyl linesinine 5 mg?kg -1 could increase the threshold dose of ventricular ectopic(VE), ventricular tachyacardia(VT), ventricular fibrillation(VF) and cardiac arrest(CA) caused by aconitine in rats and that by ouabain in ginuea pigs; delay the onset time of arrhythmia and decrease the incidence of VE,VF and CA induced by CaCl 2 in rats. CONCLUSION Di p Cl benzoyl linesinine possesses extensive effects of antiarrhythmia on ventricle.

Objective To establish a method for the identification of herbs i n Shenning granules. Method Radix Astragali, Herb Leonuri and Rhizoma Chunxio ng were identified by TLC. Results Under the selected condition, the clear and distinguished spots were obtained. Conclusion The method is simple and eff ective and can be used to control the quality of the preparation.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(06):-
AIM To investigate effects of shenning on nephrotic rats. METHODS Adult male wistar rats were randomly devided into normal control group, pathological pattern group, high-dosage shenning group,middle-dosage group,low-dosage group, shenfukang group and prednisone group. Rats with membranous glomerulonephritis were induced by injection of cation bovine serum albumin into tail vein. The rats were treated respectively for 32 days by gavage. Urinary protein was observed once a week after 2 weeks. After 7weeks ,plasma albumin, renal histology, parameters of renal function and prostaglandins were examined. In addition TXB 2/6-Keto-PGF 1? in serum were also examined. RESULTS The urinary protein, serum cretinine level,BUN and TXB 2/6-Keto-PGF 1? can be reduced in shenning groups compared with pathological pattern group. Plasma albumin was significantly increased in high-dosage shenning group. CONCLUSION High-dosage and middle-dosage shenning can significantly decrease urinary protein in rats with membranous glomerulonephritis. High-dosage shenning can increase the plasma albumin level in rats with membranous glomerulonephritis.

OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the effect of danusertib (Danu), an inhibitor of Aurora kinase, on the proliferation, cell cycle, apoptosis, and autophagy of hepatocellular carcinoma HepG2 cells and explore the underlying mechanisms.
METHODS:
MTT assay was used to examine the effect of Danu on the viability of HepG2 cells to determine the IC50 of Danu. The effect of Danu on cell cycle distribution, apoptosis and autophagy were determined using flow cytometry. Western blotting was used to detect the expressions of the proteins related to cell cycle, apoptosis and autophagy. Chloroquine was used to suppress Danuinduced autophagy to test the apoptosis-inducing effect of Danu.
RESULTS:
Danu significantly inhibited the proliferation of HepG2 cells with IC of 39.4 μmol and 14.4 μmol at 24 h and 48 h, respectively. Danu caused cell cycle arrest in G/M phase in HepG2 cells and led to polyploidy accumulation via up-regulating the expressions of p53 and p21 and down-regulating the expressions of cyclin B1 and DC2. Danu also caused apoptosis of HepG2 cells through up-regulating the expressions of Bax, Puma, cleaved caspase-3, cleaved caspase-9, cleaved PARP and cytochrome C and down-regulating the expressions of Bcl-xl and Bcl-2. Danu induced autophagy via activating AMPK signaling and inhibiting PI3K/PTEN/AKT/mTOR axis, and inhibition of Danu-induced autophagy with chloroquine enhanced the pro-apoptotic effect of Danu.
CONCLUSIONS
Danu inhibits cell proliferation and induces cell cycle arrest in G/M phase, apoptosis and cytoprotective autophagy in HepG2 cells.
