Total cardiac glycosides isolated from dry fruit of Erysium chei- ranthoides L ( ETCG ) possesed positive inotropic effect. Its effects on the physiological properties of guinea pig left atria were studied. in this paper. The effects of ETCG on dose-response curve were investigated. The results showed that ETCG increased contractility of left atria significantly and dose-dependently .The pD2 value was 7.94. ETCG ( 0.17mg/L)increased significantly excitability and automaticity induced by epinephrine. ETCG(0.01mg/L ,0 .043mg/L ,0 .17mg/L)prolonged functional refractory period obviously.

Emodin is an effective active ingredient extracted from Chinese herbal medicine, which has the function of antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and scavenging oxygen free radicals, inhibiting platelet aggregation, improving microcirculation, protecting various organs and tissues as well as a wide range of anti-tumor effect. Primary biliary gallbladder is a common malignant tumor resection rate and lack of effective adjuvant treatment. It has been confirmed that emodin has broad spectrum antitumor effect, whereas, whether it has curative effect in the treatment of gallbladder carcinoma there is no reliable clinical trials confirmed that its resistance to gallbladder carcinoma function needs further experimental research. In this review, we report the research progress of emodin anti-gallbladder carcinoma.

OBJECTIVETo observe the protection effect of Ligustrazine Hydrochloride (LH) on coagulation reaction and inflammation reaction in single valve replacement patients with rheumatic heart disease undergoing cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB).
METHODSTotally 40 patients undergoing single valve replacement were recruited in the study and randomly assigned to the two groups, the treatment group and the control group, 20 in each group. In treatment group LH (3 mg/kg) was intravenously infused from the jugular vein. LH (3 mg/kg) was also added in the CPB priming. In the control group LH was replaced by equal amount of normal saline. Endothelial micro-particles (EMP) count was detected before CPB, 30 min after CPB, 1 h and 24 h after CPB finished. The coagulation reaction time (R), coagulation time (K), clotting formation velocity (alpha angle), maximum amplitude (MA), coagulation index (CI), platelet (PLT), hypersensitive C reactive protein (hs-CRP), IL-6, and IL-10 were detected before CPB, 1 h and 24 h after CPB finished.
RESULTSThere was no statistical difference in aorta arresting time, period of CPB, post-operative drainage volume, plasma transfusion volume, post-operative respirator assistant time, and hospitalization time between the two groups (P >0.05). Compared with pre-CPB in the same group, the count of EMP was much higher at 30 min after CPB and 1 h after CPB finished (P < 0.01). R and K, hs-CRP, IL-6, and IL-10 increased at 1 h and 24 h after CPB finished (P <0.01,P < 0.05). The alpha angle,.MA, CI, and PLT decreased 1 h after CPB finished (P <0.01). The a angle increased, while CI and PLT decreased 24 h after CPB finished (P <0.05). Compared with the control group in the same period, the count of EMP was lower in the treatment group 30 min after CPB and 1 h after CPB finished (P <0. 05, P <0. 01). R and K values obviously decreased in treatment group 1 hour after CPB finished (P <0. 05), while a angle, MA, CI, and PLT increased (P <0. 05, P <0. 01). hs-CRP and IL-6 decreased in the treatment group 1 h and 24 h after CPB finished (P <0.05), while IL-10 increased (P <0.05). The count of PLT increased 24 h after CPB finished in the treatment group (P <0. 05).
CONCLUSIONLH had certain protection effect on the vascular endothelium undergoing CPB, and lower excessive activation of coagulation reaction and inflammation reaction in patients undergoing CPB.

Objective Precondition is an approach to myocardial protection during ischemia-reper-fusion by inhibiting myocardial cell apoptosis. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the cardioprotective effect using 99Tcm-syuaptotagmin I (Syt I)-C2A to detect myocardial cell apoptosis in the myocardial is-chemia-repedusion rat model. Methods (1) The C2A domain of Syt I was labeled with 99Tcm using 2-iminothiophene hydrochloride (IT) method.Radiochemical purity was determined with thin layer chroma-tography.The binding activity of radiolabeled protein was assessed using eamptothecin-treated Jurket cells.(2) One group of 6 rats was prepared for myocardial ischemia-reperfusion model(A group),and another group of 6 rats was prepared for myocardial ischemia precondition model(B group).99Tcm-Syt I-C2A was injected via the tail vein at a dosage of about 7.4 MBq.At 1h after injection, the rat was sacrificed, and the heart was removed to rinse with saline and dye with triphenyl tetrazolium eoride (TTC).According to the resdt of myocardial dye, theischemic myoeardium was separated from the viable myocardium and weight was measured, and then its radioactivity was determined by gamma counting. The difference of radioactive uptake in the ischemic myocardium between these two group models was compared using percentage activity of injection dose per gram of tissue(%ID/g)±standard deviation(x±s).SPSS 12.0 was used for data analy-sis,and t-test was used to compare data. Results (1) The radiochemical purity of 99Tcm-Syt I-C2A was (98.90±0.43)%,and the radioactivity in the camptothecin-treated group was (10.99±0.55) folds higher than that of non-treated viable control group.(2)In the ischemia-reperfusion model, the radioactive uptake of 99Tcm-Syt,I-C2A was(2.41±0.32)%ID/g in the ischemic myocardium,and(0.16±O.02)%ID/g in the nomud myocardiunm. However,in the myocardial ischemia precondition model,(0.46±0.05)%ID/g in the isehemic myocardium was measured,and(0.20±0.05)%ID/g in the normal myocardium.Uptake of 99Tcm-Syt I-C2A in ischemic myocrdium showed statistically significant difference (t=8.52,P

Objective To evaluate the image quality of 64-multi detector computed tomography (MDCT)and the clinical accuracy in detecting coronary artery lesions. Methods One hundred and five patients were studied by MDCT.The results were compared with invasive coronary angiography(ICA). Patients were excluded for atrial fibrillation, but not for high heart rate, coronary calcification,or obesity. MDCT was analyzed with regard to image quality and presence of coronary artery lesions. Results The data evaluation of the image quality was based on a total of 1365 segments(13 coronary segments for each patient),of which 1144 segments were considered to have diagnostic image quality, but 221 segments (16.2%)could not be sufficiently evaluated because of severe calcifications(153 segments)and motion artifacts(68 segments). The median calcium score[Agatston score equivalent(ASE)]was 154(range 0—1983).87 of the 105 patients had an ASE of less than 1,000[median 105(range 0—994)],and 18 patients had an ASE greater than 1000[median 1477(range 1115—1983)].For detecting lesions with 50% or greater narrowing(without any exclusion criteria),the overall sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value were 85.7%,97.9%,93.0%,and 95.5%,respectively. When limiting the number of patients to those with a calcium score of less than 1000 ASE,the threshold- corrected sensitivity for lesions with 50% or greater narrowing was 96.0%;specificity,98.9%;positive predictive value,95.3%;and negative predictive value,99.0%.Conclusion Our results indicate high quantitative and qualitative diagnostic accuracy of 64-slice MSCT in comparison to QCA in a broad spectrum of patients.
