1.Analysis of hyperlipidemia in patients with colorectal polyps

Objective To observe and compare the blood lipid level in patients with colorectal polyps.Methods One hundred and twenty patients with colorectal polyps adminated in Shuangshan Hospital of Anshan from January 2011 to January 2014 were selected as observations and 120 healthy check-ups were selected as control group.The levels of serum total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) of two groups were detected.Based on the pathological type and position of colorectal polyps and patients' gender, the blood lipid levels of sub-groups were compared.Results For observation group,there were single polyps in 81 cases ,multiple polyps in 39 cases and total colorectal polyps in 7 cases.There were 53 cases (44.17%) of hyperlipidemia (HLP).The levels of TC, TG and LDL-C of observation group were (5.26±0.97) mmol/L, (1.55±0.59) mmol/L, (2.88±0.67) mmol/L, significantly higher than those of control group ((4.51±1.02) mmol/L, (1.05±0.57) mmol/L, (2.43±0.39) mmol/L;t =4.08,4.27, 3.87, P<0.05).the incidence of HLP based on the different pathological types were not significantly changed (P > 0.05).The blood lipid levels based on the different pathological types were not significantly changed(P>0.05).According to analysis results of adenomatous polyp, the incidence of tubular and villous adenoma HLP was significantly higher than that of tubular and villous adenoma(x2 =4.51, P<0.05), while there was no significant difference in term of the blood lipid levels between the two groups(P>0.05).The specific blood lipid levels were different (95% CI 1.695-5.276, 1.823-3.517, 1.634-4.186;P <0.05).Conclusion TC and TG increase in patients with colorectal polyps.The clinical diagnosis and treatment shall focus on the detection of blood lipid levels.

3.ZINC NUTRITIONAL STATUS OF PREGNANT WOMEN IN BEIJING

Dietary intake and biochemical parameters of zinc nutritional status in 270 pregnant women and 44 nonpregnant women have been studied and the results were as follows: 1.Dietary zinc intake was about 60% of RDA in both groups.2.The mean plasma Zn concentration declined progressively during gestation; the mean SOD activities and plasma Cu/Zn and alkaline phosphatase activities increased progressively.3.The zinc nutritional status of pregnant women in Beijing was poor. Using plasma Zn concentration less than 10.71 ?mol/l as a low limit, the incidence of zinc deficiency was 6.5%, 20.2% and 25.7% at each of three trimesters respectively.4.Plasma Zn concentration is more sensitive in evalution of nutritional status than hair Zn concentration. Plasma Cu/Zn could reflect zinc nutritional status. The mean SOD activities had similar trend with plasma Zn during pregnancy, and positive correlation with plasma Zn in second trimester (r= 0.2236,P
4.An analysis of Clinic, CT and MRI in 150 child patients with cerebral palsy

Objective To search for the CT and MRI morphological changes in the child patients with cerebral palsy. Method The CT scranning and MRI were carried out in 150 child patients with cerebral palsy, andthe results were analysed. Results In 150 cases, 97 cases (54.6 per cent) have abnormal findings of CT scranning. Diffuse ence-phalatrophy (42 cases), encephalomalacia focus (24 cases) porencephaly (9 cases), and localized ence-phalatrophy (7 cases) ect are the common CT morphological changes in the patients with cerebral palsy.In the 53 patients with normal findings of CT scranning, MRI was carried out for 30 cases and 25 cases(83.3 per cent) were abnormal. The delayed myelinogeny of white matter of brain is the main MRI mor-phalogical abnormality. Conclusion CT scranning and MRI have important value on the etiological diagnosis for child patientswith cerebral palsy. The combination of them can improve the diagnostic accordance rate.
5.Effect of Aerobic Exercise on the Maximal Oxygen Uptake in Sedentary Healthy Adults: A Meta Analysis

Objective Through this meta analysis of controlled clinical trials of the effect of aerobic exercise on the maximal oxygen uptake(VO_2max)in sedentary healthy adults,we attempt to provide evidence for exercise prescription.Methods MEDLINE search for controlled trials that involved in the effect of aerobic exercise on the VO_2max from 1976 to 2008 was conducted.The literatures were selected according to inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria.Review Manager 5.0 software provided a systematic evaluation for calculating VO_2 max Weighted Mean Difference with random effects model.Assessment of the sub-group of aerobic exercise intensity and literature publication bias were conducted.Results(1)Thirty five literatures were included in this review;involving 889 adults met the inclusion criteria.VO_2max Weighted Mean Difference is 3.61ml/kg/min,95%confidence interval 2.96~4.25ml/kg/min,with an increase of 13.2%,comparing with the average VO_2max values(27.26 ml/kg/min)before aerobic exercise.(2)The most effective exercise intensity was 70~80%VO_2max,71~80%HRmax and 61~70% HRR according to the sub.group of aerobic exercise intensity meta analysis.Conclusion VO_2max increased significantly due to participating in aerobic exercise in sedentary healthy adults.The results will provide a theoretical basis for me development of aerobic exercise prescription with appropriate intensity.
6.Effects of moist dressing combined with high energy narrow band phototherapy on chronic dermal ulcer

Objective To explore the clinical effect of moist dressing combined with high energy narrow band phototherapy on chronic dermal ulcer.Methods Sixty cases with dermal chronic ulcer were randomly divided into two groups equally.The experimental group was treated by moist dressing combined with high energy narrow band phototherapy,while the control group was treated by moist dressing.The areas of wound surface were compared after treating for 14 and 21 days.Result Twenty-one days after treatment,the areas of wound surface were significantly reduced in the experimental group than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Moist dressing combined with high energy narrow band phototherapy can eradicate necrotic tissue,adjust micro-environment,and promote granulation and healing in chronic dermal ulcer.
7.Correlation between drinking behavior and polymorphisms of extracellular superoxide dismutase, aldehyde dehydrogenase 2 genes, and oral squamous cell carcinoma.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the correlation between drinking behavior and polymorphism combination of extracellular superoxide dismutase (EC-SOD) and aldehyde dehydrogenase 2 (ALDH2) genes and oral squamous cell carcinoma.
METHODSThe genetic polymorphisms of EC-SOD and ALDH2 were analyzed by polymorphism-polymerase chain reaction technique in peripheral blood leukocytes of 750 oral squamous cell carcinoma cases and 750 non-cancer controls.
RESULTSThe frequencies of EC-SOD (C/G) and ALDH2 variant genotypes were 38.27% and 69.47% in oral squamous cell carcinoma cases and 21.07% and 44.40% in healthy controls, respectively. Statistical tests showed significant difference in the frequencies between the two groups (P < 0.01). The risk of oral squamous cell carcinoma with EC-SOD (C/G) was significantly higher than that of controls (OR = 2.32). Individuals carrying ALDH2 variant genotypes had high risk of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OR = 2.85). Combined analysis of the polymorphisms showed that percentages of EC-SOD (C/G)/ALDH2 variant genotypes in oral squamous cell carcinoma and control groups were 30.67% and 6.80%, respectively (P < 0.01). Individuals carrying EC-SOD (C/G)/ALDH2 variant genotypes had high risk of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OR = 8.13). The drinking rate of the case group was significantly higher than that in the control group (OR = 2.70). Statistical analysis suggested an interaction between drinking and EC-SOD (C/G) and ALDH2 variant genotypes, which increase risk of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OR = 25.00).
CONCLUSIONEC-SOD (C/G) and ALDH2 variant genotypes and drinking are the risk factors in oral squamous cell carcinoma, which could carry out a coordinated attack of oral squamous cell carcinoma.

Objective By compared FAB classification of myelodysplastic syndrome with WHO classification of myelodysplastic syndrome,understanded the proposed WHO new classification of myelodysplastic syndrome as soon as possible.Methods Retraced and analysed 78 cases of myelodysplastic syndrome based on examination of the bone marrow.Restults(1)According to the FAB classification,divided myelodysplastic syndrome into 5 kinds:RA,RARS,RAEB,CMML,RAEB-T.(2)According to the WHO classification,its subtypes were adjusted again,and its concluded:RA,RARS,RCMD,RAEB-Ⅰ,RAEB-Ⅱ,5q-del.(3)There were 9 cases possess chromosome to revise particularly in the chromosome check 28 cases myelodysplastic syndrome. Conclusion WHO classification has clinical guiding significance for early diagnosis,therapy observation and prognosis decision.

10.ISOLATION AND CULTURE OF NEURAL STEM CELLS FROM BRAIN OF RAT

Objective To investigate the effect of optimized conditions on proliferation and differentiation of the neural stem cells(NSCs) from different age brain of rat in vitro. Methods The brain tissues from embryonic(E12~E15d),newborn(1~2?d) hippocampus and olfactory bulb from adult of rat were isolated.After proliferation in conditional culture medium including growth factor and induced differentiation,the cell type specific antibodies were used for the immune fluorescence staining to identify the cells. Results A lager scale NSCs were obtained from brain tissue and could proliferate in conditional culture in vitro. They could self renew and generate both nerve and glia.Conclusion\ The NSCs got from rat brain can be used for basic and clinical research.\;[
