BACKGROUND: By detecting vasoactive substances of experimental rats with myocardial ischemia, pharmacological mechanism of xiongbitong was studied in this research.OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of xiongbitong capsule on release of vasoactive substances of rats with myocardial ischemia.DESIGN: A completely randomized controlled study.SETTING: Department of Health, Weifang Medical College; Department of Physiology, Department of Immunity and Pathogenic Biology, Department of Internal Medicine, Weifang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.MATERIALS: The experiment had been carried out in the Laboratory of Physiology of Weifang Medical College from January 2003 to June 2003.The cleansing grade 30 Wistar rats, 6-8 months, of either sex, were randomly divided into three groups:namely, normal control group, model control group and model group of treatment with xiongbitong capsule.METHODS: [1] At 12 hours before making model, rats of model treatment group were irrigated with xiongbitong capsule 2.5 g/kg (a capsule contents dried medicinal herbs 1 g), which consists of tuckahoe, rhizoma, immature bitter orange, exocarpium citri grandis, rhizoma acori tatarinowi, moxibustion, dalbergia wood, mongolian snakegourd, curcuma root, red sage root, root of donopsis pilosula, ilyturf root, ophiopogon, polygala root, date kernel etc., and dissolved in 4 mL physiological saline. AT ten hours after making model, they were irrigated with same dose once more. The rats of normal control group and model control group were irrigated with the same dose physiological saline at the same time. One hour after the first irrigation, the animal models of myocardial ischemia of rats of model control group and model treatment group were established by injecting vitriol isoprenaline according to 10 mg/kg subcutaneously. [2] Endothelin (ET), calcitonin generelates peptide (CGRP), 6-keto-prostaglandin Fl alpha (6-keto-PGF1α) and thromboxane B2 (TXB2) in the plasma of rats were detected according to the explanation of Institute of Beijing East Asia Immune Technique. [3] The analysis of variance and q test were used for comparing between groups.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Contents of vasoactive substances in the plasma of rats in each experimental group.RESULTS: The date of all thirty rats was entered the final analysis. [1]The contents of (TXB2) and ET, TXB2/6-Keto-PGF1α, ET/CGRP: Compared with the model group, the normal control group and model treatment group reduced obviously (q=2.99-9.87, P < 0.05-0.01). [2] The contents of 6-Ke-to-PGF1α and CGRP: Compared with the model group, the normal control group and model treatment group increased obviously [(603.3 ±90.6),(190.0±64.2) ng/L; (560.7±111.1), (174.9±41.4) ng/L; (380.4±705),(114.9±36.4) ng/L, q=3.88-7.64, P < 0.05-0.01].CONCLUSION: Xiongbitong capsule may suppress unusual release of vasoactive material at myocardial ischemia area obviously, increase the content of expanding the blood vessel material, and correct out-of-balance of content of important TXB2, 6-keto-PGF1α, XTB and CGRP in the body.

Objective:To analyze the clinical and gene mutation characteristics of congenital disorder of glycosylation (CDG) caused by compound heterozygous mutation of the COG6 gene ( COG6-CDG). Methods:This study retrospectively analyzed the clinical data and genetic test results of a patient with COG6-CDG in Bayi Children's Hospital, the Seventh Affiliated Medical Center of Chinese PLA General Hospital, in August 2019. Literature was retrieved with keywords including COG6, COG6-CDG, congenital disorders of glycosylation typeⅡL and congenital disorders of glycosylationⅡL in China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Database, VIP Database, PubMed, and Web of Science Database from the establishment to July 2020, to summarize the clinical and genetic characteristics of COG6-CDG. Results:(1) Case report: The 59-day-old baby boy, with a gestational age of 27 +5 weeks and birth weight of 1 180 g, presented with multi-system involvement on admission, including unidentified progressive hepatosplenomegaly with jaundice and ascites, persistent thrombocytopenia, microcephaly, hypotonia, hypohidrosis, hyperkeratosis, and recurrent hyperthermia, infection, and hypoglycemia, as well as dysfunctions of the heart, gastrointestinal tract, lungs, kidneys, ocular fundus, and the coagulation system. Despite given ventilator-assisted ventilation, anti-infection therapy, abdominal puncture and drainage, and blood transfusion, the patient still had an aggravated condition and eventually died of multiple organ failures 192 d after birth. Genetic analysis showed that the nuclear family carried compound heterozygous mutations in the COG6 gene (NM_020751.2), including missense mutations of c.662C>T(p.T221M) in exon 7 and c.443T>C(p.I148T) in exon 5, which were both novel mutations and originated from the mother and father, respectively. (2) Literature review: Eight related papers were retrieved, including 20 cases. The main manifestations were various degrees of nervous system abnormalities and growth retardation, complicated by abnormalities of the liver, heart, gastrointestinal tract, blood, immunity, teeth, and bones. All the reported cases suffered from mental and growth retardation, and nine deaths were reported. A total of 11 COG6 gene mutations were identified, and most of them were c.1167-24A>G splicing mutations in a deep intron (seven cases), followed by c.1646G>T (four cases) and c.511C>T (three cases). Conclusions:COG6-CDG commonly manifests as multi-system and multi-organ dysfunctions with poor prognosis. Gene detection is conducive to the accurate diagnosis of COG6-CDG. Our case carries compound heterozygous mutations of c.662C>T(p.T221M) and c.443T>C(p.I148T), which are unreported novel mutations.

Objective To understand the impairment and compensation mechanism of brain function in pa-tients with non-fluent aphasia after ischemic stroke. The fractional amplitude of low frequency fluctuation (fALFF) method was used to analyze the functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data in the resting state between the aphasia patients and the normal controls. Methods The scans of the resting state of fMRI were performed in 17 aphasia patients and 19 age-, education-, and sex-matched healthy control subjects. The scan sequence was single-shot echo planar image,DPARSF software was used to analyze fALFF data of the aphasia patients and the healthy controls. Results Compared to the control group, the value in right superior temporal gurus, inferior parietal lob-ule, frontal lobe cortex, and postcentral gurus were significantly increased in the aphasia group. The fALFF in bilat-eral cerebellum and right thalamus were also decreased in the aphasia group. Conclusions The fALFF values in some brain region in the aphasia group were abnormal in the resting state , indicating a few pathological change of brain function in patients with non-fluent aphasia after ischemic stroke.

OBJECTIVETo explore the prognostic value of neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) in patients with gastric cancer.
METHODS591 cases of gastric cancer pathologically diagnosed at the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University in 2006 were included in this study. The clinical information including age and gender, cancer, treatment, and the first blood test information at admission were collected from the medical record room and analyzed. The patients were followed up to March 15, 2012. The survival was calculated by Kaplan-Meier analysis. The differences between groups were compared using Log-rank test. Cox regression was used to analyze the factors which may affect the survival of the patients. Software SPSS 13.0 was used for statistical analysis.
RESULTSIn 2006, a total of 591 patients were enrolled in this study in accordance with the inclusion criteria. By the end of the study, 538 cases were followed up. The follow-up rate was 91.0%. Among them 353 cases died of gastric cancer, 185 patients are still alive. In the whole group of 538 cases, the 1-, 3-, and 5-year survival rate was 69.9%, 47.0%, and 37.5%, respectively. In the low NLR group, the 1-, 3-, and 5-year survival rate was 76.1%, 50.1%, and 42.7%, respectively, while those of the high NLR group was 53.1%, 38.6%, and 23.4%, respectively, showing a significant difference between the two groups (P < 0.05). Univariate analysis showed that the survival rate was significantly correlated with age, pathological type, TNM stage, operation, NLR and PLR (P < 0.05 for all). Multivariate analysis showed that TNM stage, operation, NLR and age of patients were independent risk factors for the prognosis of gastric cancer (P < 0.05 for all). According to the sub-site stratified analysis, TNM stage, operation and NLR were independent risk factors for gastric cardia adenocarcinoma (P < 0.05 for all), and age, TNM stage, operation for distal gastric cancer (P < 0.05 for all). PLR was not an independent prognostic factor of survival in patients with gastric cancer.
CONCLUSIONNLR may be an independent prognostic factor of gastric cancer.
