Background Central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO) causes macular edema.The treatment options are limited.There have been a series of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) to investigate the effectiveness of anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF),but the systematic review of the literature to assess the strength of evidence supporting the interventions is lack.Objective This study was to evaluate the effectiveness of anti-VEGF therapy for improving vision and reducing macular edema in patients with CRVO associated with macular edema.Methods A systematic review and Meta-analysis was performed.According to guidelines of Cochrane collaboration,the literature of RCTs for anti-VEGF therapy treating CRVO with macular edema was searched from Cochrane Library,Pubmed,Embase,Wanfang databases and conference documents without the limiting of language or date.The literature was screened independently by two searchers,and the methodology quality of the included papers was estimated.The proportion of patients with the best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) ≥ 15 ETDRS letters,the change ranges of BCVA (LogMAR) and central fovea thickness (CFT) were analyzed.The overall effect size was analyzed using Review Manager 5.1 in The Cochrane Collaboration as weighted mean difference (WSD).Fixed effect mode was used to evaluate and compare the treating effectiveness between the anti-VEGF group and sham treating group.Results Six RCTs were incorporated with 948 eyes and generated 3 comparisons in the study,including 5 multi-central studies and 1 single central study.Pegaptanib was administered in 1 study,and ranibizumab was used in 2 studied,bevacizumab in 1 study and VEGF Trap-Eye in 2 studies.The results demonstrated that anti-VEGF therapy resulted in more patients who gained 15 ETDRS letters or more during one-year duration (Z =8.43,P＜0.000 01) in the 6th month after intravitreous injection.BCVA logMAR was significantly improved in the anti-VEGF therapy group in comparison with sham treating group during the initial 6 months of trial (Z=28.27,P＜0.000 01) with the maximal difference in the 6th month.CFT value was significantly lower in the anti-VEGF therapy group than that of the sham treating group during the first 6 months (Z=35.38,P＜0.000 01) in the 3rd month.Topical adverse events occurred occasionally,including vitreous hemorrhage in 19 eyes,cataract in 16 eyes,endophthalmitis in 8 eyes and iris neovascularization in 2 eyes.No system adverse event was found after administration of the drugs.Conclusions Anti-VEGF therapy is efficient in CRVO with macular edema with little side effect.However,in order to maintain the effect,multiple injections are needed.Early onset treatment of anti-VEGF drugs is recommended,but the delayed onset is still beneficial.

Objective To evaluate the clinical and biochemical characteristics of type 2 diabetics with hyperuricemia and to investi-gate the association between serum uric acid and the number of metabolic syndrome components. Method In the cross-sectional study of 547 type 2 diabetics, we recorded body mass index (BMI), systolic blood pressure(SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), and collected blood samples to measure serum uric acid (UA), fasting plasma glucose (FPG), glycosylated hemoglobin (HbAlc), creatinine (Cr) and blood lipid profile, including tfiglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC), low-density cholesterol LDL-C) and high-density cholesterol (HDL-C). Results Compared with the normal UA group, the diabetic patients in the high UA group had significantly increased levels of BMI, SBP, DBP, FPG, Cr, TG, TC and HbA1c (P <0.05, P <0.01, P <0.05, P <0.01, P <0.01), and decreased level of HDL-C(P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the level of LDL-C between the two groups (P > 0.05). According to their possession of 1, 2, 3 or 4 components of metabolic syndrome, 547 cases were divided into four groups (MSI, MS2,MS3 and MS4). There were significant difference in the levels of UA, BMI, SBP, DBP, Cr, TG, TC, LDL-C and HDL-C among MSI, MS2, MS3 and MS4 (All P < 0.05). Multiple regression analysis showed that UA concentration was positively correlated with sex, TG and Cr (Beta:0. 088,0. 350, 0. 124; P < 0.05, P <0.01, P <0.01) and negatively correlated with HDL-C and HbA1 c(Beta: -0.107, -0.124 ; P <0.01, P <0.01). The con-centration of UA was strongly correlated with serum TG. Conclusions Serum UA level in type 2 diabetics was significantly elevated as the number of metabolic components increased. Abnormal TG had great influence on serum UA. Hyperuricemia was considered to be a dangerous factor of the metabolic syndrome.

Objective:Evaluating quality of life of comm unity people in Hangzhou city. Methods:492 community peopl e were sampled from community and tested by Generic Quality of L if e Inventory-74.Results:(1) Generic quality of life of comm unity people was well, and their body and mind were in good health; (2) Effects of mental health、physic health and social function on quality life were over ef fect of material life conditions;(3) Qualities of life of elders、workers、non-p rofession people were worse than qualities of young、profession people and cadre (P<0.01).Conclusion:Quality of life of community peop le of Hangzhou was in good condition, but attentions should be paid to qualities of life of elders and workers.

Objective To investigate the mechanism,clinical features of severe skin infection developed in the rehabilitation of the elderly diabetic patients and the commonly seen bacterium.Methods The causes of skin injury,the places of infection and bacterium were analyzed retrospectively.Meanwhile,chemical indicators on admission were analyzed.Results Skin injury was caused by the improper family care and the lake of self protection knowledge.The common places for infection were feet and then back and hip skin.Almost all the infections were caused by opportunists,among which staphylococcus was the most common one.The major separated risk factors were hypoalbuminemia,hyperglycemia,and high level fibrinogen and anemia.Conclusion The elderly diabetic patients are subject to skin infection.Diabetic education and careful nursing are the key to the prevention of severe skin infection.

Objective To investigate the expression of visfatin mRNA in abdominal omental adipose tissue and its relationship with blood lipid in type 2 diabetes mellitus.Methods 161 type 2 diabetic patients were divided into two groups according to triglyceride ( TG ),high triglyceride group ( TG ≥ 1.7mmol/L) and normal triglyceride group(TG ＜ 1.7 mmol/L).The expression of visfatin mRNA in abdominal omental adipose tissue was measured with Northern Blot.Visfatin plasma concentration,fasting plasma glucose (FPG),blood lipid profiles and other biochemical indicators were also measured.Results Comparing with normal triglyceride group,the diabetic patients in high triglyceride group had significantly increased levels of visfatin plasma concentration [ ( 129.07 ± 21.35)ng/mL vs ( 101.65 ± 15.23 ) ng/mL,t =2.295,P ＜0.05]and mRNA expression in omental adipose tissue( P ＜0.05).Visfatin plasma concentration was positively correlated with TG( β =0.592,P ＜0.05 ) and FPG( β =0.763,P ＜0.01 ).Visfatin mRNA expression in omental adipose tissue had no correlation with FPG,TG and other biochemical indicators.Conclusions The plasma visfatin level in T2DM patients may be associated with triglyceride metabolism.

Objective To observe the level of homocysteine(Hcy),high sensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)and D-Dimer(D-D) in peripheral blood of patients with coronary heart disease,and to explore their values in clinical diagnosis of the coronary heart dis-ease(CHD).Methods Total of 95 patients with coronary heart disease were selected including 27 patients with AMI,42 patients with UAP and 26 patients with SAP.50 health examination volunteers were served as contro1.The levels of Hcy,hs-CRP and D-D were measured.Results The levels of Hcy in AMI group,UAP group and SAP group were significantly higher than those in con-trol group(P <0.05).The levels of hs-CRP and D-D in AMI group and UAP group were significant higher than control group and SAP group(P <0.05).The level of hs-CRP in SAP group was much higher than the control group(P <0.05),whereas the level of D-D in SAP group was not significantly different from control group(P <0.05).Conclusion The changes of serum levels of Hcy, hs-CRP and D-D are related with the occurrence and development of CHD.The joint detection of Hcy,hs-CRP and D-D can better reflect the severe degree of CHD,and could be helpful for early diagnosis,therapy and prognosis of CHD.

Objective:To study the expression of TCRV? subfamily which specially recognize the hepatoma cell antigen and the apoptosis of hepatoma cell induced by McAb costimulated PBLs.Methods:The change of the phenotype of PBLs was studied by flow cell cytometry and the level of the expression of TCRV? was studied by RT-PCR and Southern blot,the PTK by western blot.The hypermicroscopic ultrastructure was observed through transmission electron microscope.Results:The level of CD3 and CD8 of PBLs was significantly increased after acted with hepatoma cells,while there was no change in CD4.The expression of TCRV?7 of PBLs was dramaticly increased and peaked at 4 days.PTK increased correspondently,to 58% compared with 11% in control.Besides anti-CD3 McAb induced lymphocyte apoptosis,the mediated apoptosis of hepatoma cells was found in the other three groups.Conclusion:TCRV?7 was the tumor antigen specific T cell receptor,and it activate the PTK signal pathway.The McAb activated lymphocytes initiated apoptosis in hepatoma cells.

Authentications of Chinese herbal medicine have a critical effect in Chinese clinical medicine. DNA molecular marker, as an important component for true or false authentication, is more and more widely used in iden-tification of Chinese medicinal materials. At the same time, many new methods for authentication of Chinese medici-nal materials are continuously emerging. But the systematically comparative analysis of these new methods is lack. The present study taking Lonicera japonica as an example, systematically compared principles, characteristics, ex-periment methods, detection time and the application scope of express sequence tag-simple sequence repeat (EST-SSR), polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP), allele-specific PCR (AS-PCR), DNA barcoding and loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP), and put forward corresponding improve-ment opinions. This study can help to screen appropriate approach for rapid authentication of L. japonica and offer demonstrating to other Chinese herbal medicines.

Objective:To explore the clinical effect of prostatil combined with diosmin on the elderly patients with chronic prostatitis (CP) and the macrophage inflammatory protein-2 (MIP-2) and macrophage inflammatory protein-lα (MIP-lα) in prostate fluid and serum.Methods:126 cases of elderly patients with CP in our hospital fiom January 2015 to September 2016 were selected and randomly divided into two groups.Prostatil combined with diosmin were provided to the patients in observation groups (63 cases) while the control group (63 cases) was treated by prostatil alone.The clinical effect,MIP-2,MIP-1α levels in the prostate fluid and serum before and after therapy as well as the incidence of adverse reactions were observed and compared between two groups.Results:At 12 weeks after treatment,the total effective rate of observation group was 93.7％,which was obviously higher than that of the control group (81.0％,P＜0.05).The MIP-2 and MIP-1α levels in prostate fluid and serum of both groups at 12 weeks after therapy were significantly lower than those before therapy (P＜0.01),which were significantly lower in the observation group than those of the control group at the same time (P＜0.01).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P＞0.05).Conclusion:Prostatil combined with diosmin could more safely and effectively improve the clinical efficacy in the treatment of elderly patients with CP/CPPS,which might be related to reduce the levels ofMIP-2,MIP-lα in serum and prostatic fluid.

Objective To explore the roles of cytokines in the pathogenesis of hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome(HFRS). Methods Double-antibody sandwich ELISA was used to determine serum interleukin (IL)-6, urine tumor necrosis factor (TNF), IL-6 and IL-8 levels in 56 patients with HFRS. Results Serum IL-6, urine TNF, IL-6 and IL-8 concentrations in HFRS patients were significantly higher than those in control group, respectively (P＜0.001). The concentrations increased at fever stage, then continued to increase during hypotension stage and peaked at oliguria stage. The concentrations of serum IL-6, urine TNF, IL-6 and IL-8 increased in accord with the severity of the disease and differed greatly among different types of the disease. Serum IL-6 had remarkable relationships with serum specific antibodies. It was positively related to serum β2-microglobulin (β2-MG), blood ureanitrogen (BUN) and creatinine (Cr). Significant positive relationships were also found both between urine IL-6 and TNF, and between IL-6 and IL-8 (r=0.5768, P＜0.05; r=0.3760, P＜0.01). Conclusion TNF, IL-6 and IL-8 activated during the course of the disease. IL-6 is associated with the immunopathological lesions caused by the hyperfunction of humoral immune response. IL-6, IL-8 and TNF are involved in the renal immune impairment. Determining them might, in certain extent, be used in predicting the prognosis and outcome of patients with HFRS.
