Objective To investigate freshmen's prevalence of depression disorder and to analyse the in-fluential factors on depression in military colleges. Methods Depression, self-consciousness, coping style, per-sonality feature, birth background and other factors were investigated by MMPI and related questionnaires in 683 freshmen of military colleges. Results The prevalence of depression disorder was 3.66% ; $i, Dy, Ne mean scores of freshmen with depression disorder were significantly higher than without depression disorder(t= 5. 348,3. 879,2. 997 ) (P<0.05, P<0.01)), otherwise, Do, Pc , PEI ones were significantly lower than without depres-sion disorder( t= -2.171, -2.602, -2.62) (P<0.05, P<0.01);D mean score of all subjects was significant-ly related to Si, Dy, Do, Nc, PEI,Pe(r=0.600,0.465, -0.356,0. 240, -0. 353, -0. 146) (P<0.05, P<0.01 ). And also Si,Do,Pc,Nc got into regression quotation. Condusion Freshmen's depression is associated with their personalities, coping style and self-consciousness, however, their personalities, coping style were most important pre-dictors.

Objective To explore how the freshmen's self-efficiency influence the acute stress psychological reaction. Methods Self-efficiency, coping styles, personality were assessed by relevant questionnaires, and acute stress psychological reaction was measured by means of designing a experiment in 683 freshmen of military colleges. Results ①Freshmen with low self-efficiency had higher scores in Si,Mas,Dy,Nc(t=8.05,7.49,6.36,3.93,P<0.01)and lower scores in Do,Re,Pc(t=5.12,2.11,3.90,P<0.05 or P<0.01)than freshmen with high one.Among all factors mentioned above, Si,Dy,Pc got into regression equation. ② Freshmen with low self-efficiency had lower stress score than ones with higher self-efficiency(t=3.92,P<0.01).Freshmen's self-efficiency was positively correlated to total scale score and 3 subscale scores of the acute psychological stress reaction questionnaire(r=0.187~0.346,P<0.05,P<0.01).Conclusion Personality, coping style exerted influence on the freshmen's self-efficiency which is a mediator between stressors and acute psychological stress reaction.

Objective To explore what kind of role serum interleukin 6 (IL-6) and interleukin 18 ( IL-18) play in the relationship between type D personality and acute coronary syndrom (ACS)prognosis. Methods Serum levels of IL-6,IL-18 in all 214 ACS patients were measured with ELISA.According to the scores of type D personality scale(DS14) ,the subjects were divided into the group with type D personality (50 cases)and the one without type D personality ( 164 cases). The serum IL-6 and IL-18 level between the two groups were detected and analyzed. Results There were 23.36% ACS patients with type D personality. The serum IL-6, IL-18levels of the group with type D in ACS acute stage and ACS recovery stage were (2.340 ± 0.081 )OD, (2.016 ±0.023 ) OD and ( 1.460 ± 0.070 ) OD, ( 1.313 ± 0.012 ) OD respectively, significantly higher than those of the group without type D (2.178 ± 0.180)OD, ( 1.849 ± 0.159)OD and ( 1.387 ± 0.091 )OD, ( 1.196 ± 0.132 ) OD respectively(P<0.01).Conclusion At home and abroad ,there are similar amount of ACS patients with type D personality. The high serum IL-6 and IL-18 levels may play an important role in pathogenesis of relationship between type D personality and ACS poor prognosis.

Objective To investigate effectiveness of meta-cognitive intervention on aged people with middle depression. Methods Geriatrist Depression Scale(GDS) and Hamilton's Depression Scale ( HAMD-17 ) were used to screen out 70 aged people with middle depression from 850 retired soldier cadres dwelling in cpla dalian sanitarium. They were randomly divided into study group( n = 35 ) and control group( n = 35 ). The experimental group received meta-cognitive intervening and general nursing care for 8 weeks, while the control group only received general nursing care for 8 weeks. HAMD-17, GDS, global assessment scale(GAS) and the Metacognitions Questionnaire(MCQ-30) were administered both at the start and the end of the 8th week. Results The total scores in HAMD and GDS were decreased significantly in study group ( HAMD: ( 1 1.54 ± 2.50 ) vs ( 13.06 ±2.82),t= -2.378, P=0. 020;GDS:(12.51 ±2.43) vs (16.06 ±2.48), t= -6. 031, P=0. 000;GAS:(77.71 ±3.03) vs (75.63 ± 3.24), t = 2. 785, P = 0. 007 ). At the end of 8th week, the MCQ total score was significantly decreased in study group (38.69 ± 4. 17,81.37 ± 5.98, t = 34. 652, P < 0. 01 ). Conclusion For aged people with middle depression, good effects are got by the meta-cognitive intervening technique and meta-cognitive intervening technique improve the meta-cognitive level of aged people with middle depressive mood.
