Chinese Journal of Behavioral Medicine and Brain Science 2010;19(12):1123-1124
Objective To investigate the influence of class lecture on health care of sex and production to the sexual attitudes of college students. Methods 930 college students were assessed by The Sexual Attitudes Questionnaire(SAQ) before and after taking part in the lesson of health care of sex and production. Results The score of SAQ of all subjects was lower after class lecture (9.44 ± 2.67 ) than before ( 10.78 ± 2.65 ), there was significant difference(P< 0.05 ). Compared to before class lecture , the scores of male and female college students were decreased after education(P<0. 05 ). There was apparent difference between clinical and nonclinical students before and after class lecture ( clinical (99.70 ± 2.50) vs ( 8.30 ± 1.70), P < 0.05; nonclinical (11.71 ± 2.67)vs (10.81 ± 2.23), P<0.05). Conclusion Sexual knowledge was increased, and the sexual attitudes was tended to maturity of the students. It' s nessary to promote opening lecture of Health Care of Sex and Production in college students.

Fifteen cases with atrial myxoma in our hospital from May 2001 to Dec 2008 were retrospectively analyzed.Patients presented with a variety of symptoms mimicking mitral valve disease, including palpitation, shortness of breath and activity intolerance.Pulmonary and systemic embolizations occurred in three patients and sudden syncope in one.Radiograph and echocardiography can help to reveal atrial myxoma.Definite diagnosis was made based on histological examinations. In 6 months - 6 years'follow-up one case recurred.Surgical treatment should be prompted once diagnosis established.Tumor pedicle must be completely removed to prevent recurrence.

This article discusses how to improve teaching quality of health statistics from four main aspects: paying attention to training statistical thinking, paying attention to understanding basic concepts and methods, paying attention to modernistic teaching instrumentality, and paying attention to intercommunion between teachers and students.Practice indicates it facilitates impoving teaching quality.

Objective To determine the Golgi dispersal in radiation damaged cells and the protective effect of vanillin derivatives. Methods Immunofluorescence, cell cycle analysis of flow-cytometry,Western blot, and clone formation were used. Results Immunofluorescence observation showed that the Golgi dispersal caused by 2 Gy 60 Coγ-ray was significantly increased in a dose-dependent manner in the range of 4-10 Gy as was demonstrated by the fact that the Golgi area was significantly increased. When the irradiated cells were treated with the radioprotective agent VND3207, a vanillin derivative, the Golgi dispersal induced by radiation was significantly reduced. The radiation-induced Golgi dispersal was also displayed in a pattern of time-course after irradiation in the HeLa cells, and persisted at least to 36 h post-irradiation. Cell cycle test results indicated that the Golgi dispersal was not associated with the G2/M arrest triggered by radiation-induced DNA damage response.VND3207 could promote cell survival by plate colony formation assay. Conclusion The Golgi dispersal can be caused byγ-ray irradiation in a dose-and time-dependent manner, and VND3207 can provide a good protection against radiation injury associated with inhibited Golgi dispersal.

Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis 2006;18(2):146-148
Objective To study the effects of simulated weightlessness induced by tail-suspension on reproduction in adult male rats and its mechanisms. Methods Twenty Spraque-Dawley adult male rats were randomly divided into two groups: the experimental group and control group. Rats in the experimental group were tail-suspended for 14 days. After the treatment, the weight and morphology of testis, the quantity and quality of sperm, the level of serum testosterone and the apoptosis rate of testicular cells were observed. Results Compared with the control, the testicular weight, the quantity and quality of sperm, the level of serum testosterone significantly decreased (P<0.05) while the apoptosis rate of testicular cells significantly increased (P<0.05) in tail-suspended rats. In addition, hematoxylin and eosin (HE) staining showed that seminiferous tubules atrophied, spermatogenic cells decreased, seminiferous epithelial cells disintegrated and shed, and the lumina were azoospermic. Conclusion Simulated weightlessness induced by tail-suspension has a harmful effect on male reproduction of adult rats by increasing the apoptosis of testicular cells.

Objective To study the protective effects of vitamin E(VE) on injury to male reproductive function in tail-suspended rats. Method Thirty adult male Spraque-Dawley(SD) rats were randomly divided into three groups:control, TS (tail-suspension) and VE+TS groups. TS and VE+TS groups were tail-suspended for 14 d,and VE was given orally to VE+TS group during tail-suspension. After the treatment, weight and morphology of testes, quality and amount of sperm, as well as serum hormones were observed. Result As compared with the control group, weight of testes, quantity and quality of sperm, as well as serum testosterone decreased significantly in TS group (P

Pulse diagnosis system of traditional Chinese medicine is a complicated nonlinear macrosystem.Directed by complexity science theory, and introduced with idea of complex-simple-complex,the pulse diagnosis message is multidimensionally extracted, analyzed with reduced integration, and integrated with upgrade stage and dimension, according to four kinds of attributes "the Position, the Rate, the Shape, the Force".After the digitization, the new kind of pulses diagnosis instrument is manufactured with this mechanism.

Purpose To analyze the clinicopathologic and immunohistochemical features, differential diagnosis and prognosis of papil-lary renal cell carcinoma (PRCC). Methods Thirty-two cases of PRCC diagnosed were reviewed. A retrospective study was per-formed including reviewing the clinical documents, pathological sections and immunohistochemical stainning and follow-up was made of 32 cases of PRCC. Twenty-one patients were treated with radical nephrectomy, eleven patients were treated with partial nephrectomy. Results Among 770 cases of renal epithelial tumors 32(4. 2%) cases of PRCC were detected. Histologically, the PRCC were charac-terized by varying proportions of papillary and tubular architecture covered by single or multiple layer of tumor cells with scanty or volu-minous basophilic or eosinophilic cytoplasm. Foam cells and psammoma bodies were seen in some papillary cores and stroma, and the cytoplasm of some tumor cells contained hemosiderin. Of these 32 patients, 18 and 14 were diagnosed type-Ⅰand type-IIPRCC, re-spectively. Type-I, with small cuboid cell and pale cytoplasm, 16 of them were low in Fuhrman grading, Type-II, with large colunmar cells, rich in eosinophilic cytoplasm, 12 of them were high in Fuhrman grading. Immunohistochemically, the PRCC showed positive immunostaining for vimentin, EMA, CK(AE1/AE3), CK7, CD10 and AMACR. All the tumors studied were negative for CK (34βE12) and TFE-3. Follow-up data were available for 31 cases, 4 patients died of cancer specific causes, 1 with type-Ⅰand 3 with type-II tumors after surgery. The other 27 patients were alive without recurrence or metastasis. High Fuhrman grading, intravascular tumor emboli, lymph node metastasis and high clinical stage were prognostic indicators in PRCC. Conclusions PRCC with unique pathological features is not a common subtype of renal cell carcinoma in China. The presence of higher nuclear grade, sarcomatoid ele-ments or clear cell carcinoma structure may indicate an aggressive biologic behavior and poor prognosis. Close attention to the cytologic and growth pattern characteristics will allow us to arrive at the proper diagnosis in most cases, although sometimes immunohistochemis-try and rarely molecular genetic evaluation may be needed.
