Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1987;0(02):-
Pachycarpine given intravenously (10~20mg/kg) to anesthetized rabbits markedly increased the force of contraction of the anterior tibialis musculi for 30 minsimultaneously. It significantly increased the work made by rabbit anterior tibialis musculi. It markedly plo-longed the mice swimming time. It also significantly increased the muscle evoked action potential induced by electrical stimulation on anterior tibialis musculi of rabbit.

Objective:To explore the effects of gentiana scabra bage on the expression of hepatic collagen proteins in Paragonimus skrjabinirats with liver fibrosis. Methods:Immunohistochemical technique was used to observe the changes of content of hepatic type Ⅰ, Ⅱ collagen proteins in Paragonimus skrjabinirats with liver fibrosis before and after the gentiana scabra bage treatmeat. Results:Comparing with the model group, changes of hepatic type Ⅰand type Ⅱ collagen proteins in gentiana scabra bage treated group were significantly weakened. Conclusions:Gentiana scabra bage treatment can reduce the content of hepatic type Ⅱ and typeⅠcollagen protein significantly in Paragonimus skrjabinirats with liver fibrosis, thereby, playing the role against hepatic fibrosis.

Due to the insufficient supply of embryonated chicken eggs, the preparation of large quantities of inactivated influenza vaccines will require an alternative virus culture system after the emergence or reemergence of a pandemic influenza virus. The Vero cell is one of the ideal options since it was used for producing many kinds of human vaccines. However, most of the influenza viruses can not grow well in Vero cells. To develop a new influenza vaccine with Vero cells as a substrate, the virus needs to adapt to this cell substrate to maintain high growth characteristics.By serial passages in Vero cells, the B/Yunnan/2/2005va(B)strain was successfully adapted to Vero cells, with the hemagglutination titer(HAT)of the virus reaching 1:512.The high growth characteristic of this strain is stable up to 21 passages. The strain was identified by hemagglutination inhibition (HAI)test and sequencing respectively;the HA;gene sequence of the virus was cloned and analyzed. The screening and establishment of high growth B virus provides an important tool for influenza vaccine production in Vero cells.

Objective To provide the practical experience of association of liver partition and portal vein ligation for staged hepatectomy(ALPPS) procedure in portal vein tumor thrombosis(PVT) cases, and to explore its value in PVTT therapy. Methods Three cases of ALPPS were applied to PVTT in Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery of PLA General Hospital from 2015 to 2016.The patients data were retrieved and analyzed retrospectively, including the basic information, preoperative PVTT classification, preoperative Child-Pugh classification,ICG test results, future liver remnant (FLR),FLR growth rate between 2 phase operation, operation time, bleeding volume, postoperative complications, postoperative survival etc.We discussed the detail technology and discuss the surgical procedure combine our experience and the published papers. Results ALPPS was performed successfully in all 3 patients.According to the Cheng's Classification of PVTT,they were classified as type Ⅱ,1 case and Ⅲ type,2 cases.Preoperative liver function was Child-Pugh A grade, average ICG R15 was 7.3% (4.2%-11.0%),and average FLR was 387 ml (333-484 ml).The mean time interval between 2 phases surgery was 24.7 days (9-50 days) and the average FLR growth rate was 50.3% (24.4%-82.3%).Morbidity of Clavien-Dindo Ⅲ or more was recorded in 1 case, but no mortality occurred.During follow-up period,2 patients were treated with TACE for tumor recurrence. All patients survived with acceptable life quality till now.The portal vein tumor thrombosis necrosis was observed in all 3 specimens. Conclusions ALPPS is a valuable surgery for effective control of tumor thrombus and radical resection rate in well selected PVVT type Ⅱ and type Ⅲ patients. It is expected to improve the therapeutic effect in combination with TACE and other treatment methods.

Objective:To analyze the efficacy and safety of radioactive 125I seed implantation in the treatment of unresectable early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), in order to provide data for clinical practice and relevant research. Methods:A retrospective study was conducted on the data of 39 patients with early-stage NSCLC who received CT-guided radioactive 125I seed implantation from Dec 2010 to Dec 2018 in multiple hospitals. The seed implantation process consisted of preoperative planning and design, CT-guided puncture, seed implantation, and postoperative evaluation and dose verification. The efficacy and complications of the treatment were analyzed. The clinical efficacy was evaluated by adopting the Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST) (v1.1) and the adverse reactions were evaluated using the Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (CTCAE v4.0). Results:All the patients were 70 years old on average (51-85). The median lesion diameter was 2.7 cm (1.1-6.0 cm), the median seed activity was 0.7 mCi (0.6-0.8 mCi), while the median follow-up duration was 29 months (3-97 months). Meanwhile, the 1-, 3-, and 5-year overall local control rates were 89.5%, 79%, and 79%, respectively, and the 1-, 3-, and 5-year overall survival rates were 100%, 74.8%, and 49.9%, respectively.Local recurrence and distant metastasis were the main causes of failure, accounting for 17.9% (7 cases) each. The incidence of pneumothorax was 56.4% (22 cases), among which nine cases (23.1%) required invasive closed thoracic drainage.Only 1 case of grade-2 radiation pneumonia (2.6%) was observed, with no other adverse reactions such as dermatoses, esophagitis, or myelitis being discovered. As indicated by univariate analysis, the patients with KPS scores of 80-90, pathological type of adenocarcinoma, T stage of T 1-2, and D90>180 Gy exhibited better local control ( χ2=6.202, P<0.05). Meanwhile, high D90 was also associated with a higher survival rate ( χ2=6.907, P<0.05). Conclusions:Radioactive 125I seed implantation is a safe and effective treatment for unresectable early-stage NSCLC.In cases where external beam radiotherapy is not available, radioactive 125I seed implantation can be considered as one of the treatment options.Pneumothorax is the most common complication of radioactive 125I seed implantation, and adenocarcinoma (pathological type) and higher values of D90 are predictors of better local control.

Distraction osteogenesis (DO) is widely used for bone tissue engineering technology. Immune regulations play important roles in the process of DO like other bone regeneration mechanisms. Compared with others, the immune regulation processes of DO have their distinct features. In this review, we summarized the immune-related events including changes in and effects of immune cells, immune-related cytokines, and signaling pathways at different periods in the process of DO. We aim to elucidated our understanding and unknowns about the immunomodulatory role of DO. The goal of this is to use the known knowledge to further modify existing methods of DO, and to develop novel DO strategies in our unknown areas through more detailed studies of the work we have done.
