1.Exploring the formation and essence of TCM related concepts from the human cognition procedure
China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(03):-
From the human cognition procedure, after initially explores the formation and essence of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) related concepts, the author believes that the TCM related concepts are based on the phenomena(including the outside appearance of human body) in the natural world which can be felt directly by people’s sense organs, with the essence that is the re? ection of macro symptoms and physical signs, and the relative natural objective phenomena in people’s consciousness. In traditional Chinese medicine, there are not only the concepts formed by the things which can be felt directly by people’s senseorgans, but also those which are formed independent on the cognition by sense organs directly, and must be thought further.Either is not utterly visionary, the formation all based on the objective phenomena. If you grasp the phenomena, these concepts are not unacceptable and the TCM related research will stand on the ground further.

Through analyzing the role of people's cognition process in the formation of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) and Western medicine theory, and also the respective objective phenomena their theories constructed according to,the writer drew the conclusion that: the same cognition way was adopted in the formation of TCM and western medicine which reflected the relationship between objectives(phenomena) with the only difference of level, just the origin of the difference between TCM and Western medicine. This difference determined that the process of the integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine actually is that of we make our research from the micro world to the macro one.
3.Discussion on the viewpoint integration in Huangdi Neijing
Journal of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2024;47(12):1655-1660
To clarify the reasons for the phenomenon of producing different viewpoints in the theory of Huangdi Neijing and how to understand and apply these different viewpoints correctly. This study explores the founding basis of the characteristics of "viewpoint integration" in the theory system of Huangdi Neijing and explains the theoretical significance and clinical value of "viewpoint integration" from the perspective of the core concept of Huangdi Neijing. In conclusion, when grasping the characteristics of "viewpoint integration" in Huangdi Neijing, thinking about, recognizing, analyzing, and solving problems is the main line and the core. Understanding different points of view should be extensive and in-depth. Do not use one viewpoint to understand all viewpoints, do not use one viewpoint to explain another viewpoint, and do not mechanically mix two viewpoints. At the same time, it is necessary to clarify the construction process of different viewpoints and to learn to grasp these viewpoints from different angles. Studying the characteristics of "viewpoint integration" in Huangdi Neijing can not only better understand the theoretical content of Huangdi Neijing, but can also help open up ideas for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, develop and innovate the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, and improve clinical efficacy.

This article compares and analyzes the content and theoretical structure of the concept of pathogenesis from the national textbooks of Basic Theory of Chinese Medicine and Diagnostics in Chinese Medicine from the first to the ninth version. The authors consider the mechanism as the main content of pathogenesis concept in contemporary Chinese medicine.During the construction of this concept, the concept of pathology has a profound influence,wh ich differs a lot from the emphasis on key in ancient pathogenesis content, mainly reflected in clinical diagnosis and treatment ideas transferring from dealing with key issues to dealing with abstract concept. This change is associated with the impact of western medicine on modern Chinese medicine, emphasizing the mechanism and so on,so that the ancient Xiang (象) concept is marginalized.

Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2025;66(2):205-208
It is proposed that both "skin interior-membrane exterior" (the region between the skin and membranes) and "membrane-source" are objective parts of human body. Based on relevant ancient texts, interpretations by physicians, and clinical characteristics of diseases, we analysed the relationship between skin interior-membrane exterior and membrane-source, and proposed that skin interior-membrane exterior is essentially equivalent to membrane-source, with skin interior-membrane exterior offering a clearer expression of the meaning. The medicinal practices and prescriptions recorded in materia medica and classical formulas provide evidence to support that skin interior-membrane exterior is same as membrane-source. Based on the researches on their relationship, the formula groups for the treatment of membrane-source diseases developed, potentially expanding the clinical applications of membrane-source formulas and offering new approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of complex diseases in clinic.

Objective:To study the medication rules of treating cervical spondylosis by National TCM master Liu Bailing based on data mining and network pharmacology, and explore the potential action mechanism of its core compounds. Methods:By collecting the prescriptions of National TCM master Liu Bailing treating cervical spondylosis in the past 8 years, this paper analyses the frequency, nature, flavor, meridian, hierarchical clustering and association rules of those prescriptions by RStudio to obtain the core prescription. Then, the effective components of the core prescription were collected by using TCMSP, and the network of "medicine-component-target" was constructed by using Cytoscape 3.8.0; by searching for databases like GEO, DisGeNET, TTD HPO and Genecards were retrieved to obtain the target data set of cervical spondylosis; by using STRING 11.0 platform to construct protein interaction network; by using DAVID platform to cary out gene ontology (GO) and KEGG pathway enrichment analysis; by using Auto Dock software for molecular docking. Results:In the 844 prescriptions, there are 199 Chinese medicines and the properties are mainly warm, plain and cold; the flavors were mainly sweet, pungent and bitter; mainly belong to the liver, spleen, and kidney meridians. The Association Rule shows that the core compound is made up of Salvia miltiorrhiza, Gastrodia elata, Rhizoma corydalis, Alisma rhizoma, centipede, Astragalus membranaceus and Rhizome of Pueraria. Besides, 140 effective constituents and 247 targets of the core prescription were screened, and the main constituents were quercetin, kamanol, luteolin, tanshinone ⅡA, β-sitosterol, etc. 13 core targets among the core prescription treating cervical spondylosis were obtained, which were enriched into 30 pathways including toll-like receptor signaling pathway, TNF signaling pathway and HIF-1 signaling pathway. Conclusion:National TCM master Liu Bailing treatment of cervical spondylosis mainly focuses on expelling wind and relieving pain, dredging meridians and soothing tendons, and the mechanism of action of the core prescription may focus on inhibiting inflammatory response and relieving oxidative stress, providing guidance and reference for the clinical treatment of cervical spondylosis.

To study the influence of TCMclinical practice on the development of TCMtheories by the way of studying “Life Gate (mingmen)Doctrine”,including its history, its theoretical framework and the rea-son for its vicissitude .The rise was in Ming Dynasty and fall was in Qing Dynasty, and decentralization in Foundamental Theory ofTraditional Chinese Medicine,a unified compiled teaching book.In Ming Dy-nasty,Life Gate Doctrine originated from the requirement of interpreting the life-propelling force and the force mechanism, and was established with Neo-Confucianism as its central foundation. But for the reason of lacking practical ground, the doctrine declined in Qing Dynasty. In Foundamental Theory ofTradition-al Chinese Medicine, the theoretical framework of Life Gate Doctrine was not original, but a new one based on parts of the original framework of “life-propelling force-liver,heart,spleen,lung,kidney vis-cera-organ”.The changes reflected the theoretical construction of “liver controlling dipersion”due to two causes:the changes of mainstream thoughts induced the difference of central structure and central theo-ries,which were mutually exclusive in Life Gate Doctrine whose inherent problems were magnified;throughout, the interpretation of “life-propelling force”was indispensable for TCMtheory. In a word,it is undoubtedly significant to study TCMViscera-Organ Theory and improve clinical practice based on un-derstanding the changes of Life Gate Doctrine.

Consumptive thirst is widely discussed in Huangdi Neijing and it is classified as a"strange disease"in Suwen·Strange Diseases Treatise, which reflects the intractable nature of consumptive thirst. This paper explores and analyzes consumptive thirst based on the core concept in Huangdi Neijing.First, this paper approaches the subject through the use of image thinking method from Huangdi Neijing, recognizing that consumptive thirst can lead to changes in the internal climate of the human body. Then, guided by the theories of essence and qi,yin and yang, and the five elements in Huangdi Neijing,it deconstructs and analyzes the causes of these changes and the laws of qi transformation. It points out that the changing climate of consumptive thirst is characterized by"heat symptoms".The main cause of"heat symptoms"is spleen deficiency and excessive dampness, and its qi transformation law is the heat transformation of Shaoyin. The intractable nature of consumptive thirst is mainly reflected in the uncontrolled"heat symptoms"caused by the imbalance of the five elements.Based on the understanding of the heat symptoms of consumptive thirst, this paper proposes a treatment strategy for preventing the disease by resolving dampness and regulating the spleen, harmonizing kidney qi to prevent progression, and balancing yin and yang to treat chronic and recalcitrant conditions. The aim is to provide a reference for optimizing the treatment of consumptive thirst.
