Methods In 112 cases of hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage, with CT orientation, the appropriate length of YL-1 type of intracranial hematoma puncture needle was penetrated into the hematoma. Washing, drainage and Urokinase were applied. Results 21 patients died, 91 patients' consciousness and physical function got better in 1-5 days, and 2 patients were in a vegetable state. Conclusion In therapy of hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage, microinvasive puncturation can improve efficiency of clinical treatment, recovery of nerve function and daily living of patients, with advantages of safety, convenience, cheaper costs and minimal trauma.

Objective To study the relationship between Noble grade and distribution of myocardial bridge and atherosclerosis. Methods The clinical data of 192 patients with myocardial bridge diagnosed by coronary artery angiography were retrospectively analysed. The clinical symptoms, electrocardiographic and echocardiographic findings were analysed to explore the relationship between Noble grade and distribution of myocardial bridge and atherosclerosis, and the outcomes of medical treatment were also investigated. Results The positive rate of myocardial bridge detected by coronary artery angiography was 10.2%,which was usually observed in the middle part of left anterior descending coronary artery. All the patients with grade 3 of Noble grade experienced chest pain or palpitation,43.8% had ischemic ST-T changes on electrocardiogram, and 37.5% had abnormal segmental ventricular wall on echocardiography. However, patients with Noble grade 1 and 2 did not have ischemic ST-T changes on electrocardiogram or abnormal segmental ventricular wall on echocardiography. The prevalence of atherosclerosis in proximal coronary artery of myocardial bridge was significantly higher than those of mural coronary artery and distal coronary artery(P

0.05).Compared with non-myocardial infarction group, the prevalence of normal segmental ventricular wall motion and ejection fraction in myocardial infarction group was significantly lower, while those of akinesia and paradoxical motion were significantly higher(P

Objective To investigate the role of apelin-13, a vasoactive peptide, in rat myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury in vivo and explore its signal transduction pathway. Methods Rats were randomly divided into control group (n=10) and Apelin-13 group (n=15), and in vivo models of rat myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury were established. Normal saline (control group) or Apelin-13 (Apelin-13 group) was administered intravenously 5 min before reperfusion. TTC and Evan's blue staining were used to determine the infarction size (IS) and area at risk (AAR), apoptotic cells were quantified by TUNEL method, and the expression of ERK1/2 was determined by Western blotting. Results IS/AAR and apoptosis index of Apelin-13 group were significantly lower than those in control group [(38.33±12.95) % vs (52.61±11.00)% and (0.21±0.02) vs (0.31±0.05)](P <0.05). The expression of p-ERK1/2 in Apelin-13 group was significantly increased than that in control group [(1.15±0.16) vs (0.63±0.07)](P < 0.05). Conclusion Apelin-13 may protect rat hearts from in vivo ischemia-reperfusion injury, reduce infarction size and attenuate myocardial apoptosis, which may be mediated by the activation of ERK1/2 MAPK signal transduction pathway.

Objective]To compare the efficacy and safety of retroperitoneal laparoscopic intrasinusal pyelolithotomy (RLIP) and percutaneous nephrolithotomy(PCNL)in the treatment of solitary renal pelvic stone.[Methods]From March 2012 to September 2016,101 patients with solitary renal pelvic stone, divided into RLIP group(n=46)and PCNL group(n=55),were retrospectively analyzed to compare the difference between the two groups in clinical curative effect.[Results]There was no difference between the two groups regarding age, sex, stone side and stone size. Although the operative time was significantly longer, the stone-free rate in the RLIP group was significantly higher than that in the PCNL(P < 0.05). The postoperative complication of urinary tract infection was lower in the RLIP group (P < 0.05),however ,no significant difference was found in postoperative discharge time ,fever (>38.5℃)and the decrease values of hemoglobin and glomerular filtration rate.[Conclusion]Compared to PCNL,RLIP was more efficient and slight safer in the management of solitary renal pelvic stone ,and had a certain value for generalization in clinic.

Objective To study the effects of moderate hypothermia on cerebral glucose and ATP contents andmitochondrial succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) activity in neonatal rats with hypoxic-ischimic brain damage (HIBD).Methods Seven-day-old Sprague-Dawley rat pups were subjected to ligation of the left carotid artery followed by exposureto hypoxia environment of 8 % O2 for 2 h, then they were randomly assigned into normothermic recovered group ( Ingroup) and moderate-hypothermic recovered group (IH group). The sham-operated rats which were used as the controlwere assigned into the normothermic control group (NC group) and moderate-hypothermic control group (HC group). The contents of glucose and ATP and activity of mitochondrial SDH were assayed at 0, 2, 6, 24, 48, 72 h after HIBD.Results The cerebal glucose contents in the IN and IH groups were significantly lower than those of the NC and Hcgroups 0 h after HIBD. Two hours after HIBD, the glucose content recovered to norhal level. The concentration of ATPand activity of SDH in the IN group decreased first, then they recovered gradually and reached a peak 72 hours afterHIBD. After 6 hours or 2 hours of HIBD, the ATP content or SDH activity of the brain in the IH group weresignificantly higher than those in the IN group. The ATP concentration was closely related to the SDH activity ( r =0.515, P <0.01). Conclusions Moderate hypothermia might protect brain tissue by inhibiting the decrease of SDHactivity and increasing the synthesis of ATP.

Liver regeneration depends on powerful immune system of ownself. TNF-α,IFN-γ,IL-6,IL-12,etc. that secreted by innate immune cells such as macrophages, dendritic cells,NK cells and NKT cells, could act on the hepatocytes and regulate liver regen-eration (LR) through corresponding signaling pathways. This article summarizes the mechanism of different innate immune cells on hep-atocytes,clarifies the recent advances of liver innate immune cellsduring liver regeneration process, lay the foundation for revealing the molecular mechanism of the development of liver regeneration and liver diseases, and for the research and development of new therapeutic methods for liver diseases.

OBJECTIVETo gain insight into the mechanism by which sex-determining region of Y chromosome (SRY)-related high-mobility-group box 2 (SOX2) involved in carcinogenesis and cancer stem cells (CSCs).
DATA SOURCESThe data used in this review were mainly published in English from 2000 to present obtained from PubMed. The search terms were "SOX2," "cancer," "tumor" or "CSCs."
STUDY SELECTIONArticles studying the mitochondria-related pathologic mechanism and treatment of glaucoma were selected and reviewed.
RESULTSSOX2, a transcription factor that is the key in maintaining pluripotent properties of stem cells, is a member of SRY-related high-mobility group domain proteins. SOX2 participates in many biological processes, such as modulation of cell proliferation, regulation of cell death signaling, cell apoptosis, and most importantly, tumor formation and development. Although SOX2 has been implicated in the biology of various tumors and CSCs, the findings are highly controversial, and information regarding the underlying mechanism remains limited. Moreover, the mechanism by which SOX2 involved in carcinogenesis and tumor progression is rather unclear yet.
CONCLUSIONSHere, we review the important biological functions of SOX2 in different tumors and CSCs, and the function of SOX2 signaling in the pathobiology of neoplasia, such as Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway, Hippo signaling pathway, Survivin signaling pathway, PI3K/Akt signaling pathway, and so on. Targeting towards SOX2 may be an effective therapeutic strategy for cancer therapy.
