Objective To investigate the protective effect of angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor (ACEI) on kidney function in patients with sepsis.Methods Eighty-seven patients with sepsis were randomly (random number) divided into the routine treatment (A group,n ＝45) and the ACEI intervention group (B group,n =42).Patients were managed by international guidelines for sepsis in A group and were treated with benazepril (ACEI) 20 mg a day in addition in B group.Serum creatinine and cystatin C were detected and APACHE Ⅱ scores and urine output were recorded on the 1st,3rd and 7th day.Those laboratory findings and APACH Ⅱ score were compared between two groups.The incidence of acute kidney injury (AKI) and abnormal cystatin C levels were compared between two groups.Results In B group,serum creatinine and cystatin C of patients were lower compared with A group.The incidence of AKI and abnormal cystatin C and APACHE Ⅱ scores were reduced in B group compared with the A group.Conclusions Benazepril improved sepsis-induced AKI and patient conditions.

Objective To study the effect of puerarin on the nitrogen monoxide(NO) concentration in rats with pre-eclampsia. Methods Thirty SD rats were selected and divided into three groups: normal pregnancy group, pre-eclampsia model group and puerarin group(10 rats in each group). We used endotoxin to set up the pre-eclampsia model rats on gestation 14th day and puerarin to treat these rats. The 24 hour urine protein on gestation 8th,15th,19th days were determined, as well as the heart rate, blood pressure on gestation 10th,15th,19th days. Nitrate reductase method was used to determine the plasma NO concentration of each group on gestation 21st day. Results (1) There was significant difference in urine protein concentration between the puerarin [(73 ? 20) ?g],pre-eclampsia [ (464 ? 57)?g], and normal pregnancy [(140 ? 12)?g], groups (which is equal to the value of urine protein of pregnancy 19th day subtracting that of pregnancy 8th day, P0.05).(4)There was significant difference in NO concentration (NO concentration at gestation 19th day subtracting that of 8th day) between the three groups(P

Objective To introduce iris recognition application in human assisted reproductive technology and set up an iris registration platform and an iris recognition platform for patients .Methods Every patient′s iris was used as the only code.The complicated verification of identity cards and birth permit was replaced by the digital service platform .We set up a database for basic information ,and electronic records of treatment and follow-up for centralized management .Results and Conclusion Compared to other authentication systems ,this iris digital system is easy and efficient .It can more effectively eliminate replacement and prevent medical disputes .The time taken to check the information of each patient is shortened to twenty seconds .

Objective To study the effect of siRNA targeting survivin and tumor necrosis factor related apoptosis-inducing ligand on the proliferation and apoptosis of hepatocellular carcinoma ( HCC) cells. Methods siRNA eukaryotic expression vector was constructed and the effects of soluble tumor necrosis factor related apoptosis-inducing ligand ( sTRAIL) on HCC cells were observed. Results The recombinant plasmid Psilence ( + )-survivin was successfully constructed. Survivin mRNA expression inhibition ratio reached 73% by RT-PCR. Observed by MTT method sTRAIL failed to inhibit the survival rate of HepG2、HepG2/Silence( - ) cells at 12 h、24 h、48 h when compared to control groups. With the survivin gene being inhibited, the survival rate of HepG2/Silence( + ) cells(0. 518?0. 017) decreased in 12 h compared to control groups (0. 741?0. 005 ) and reached the lowest level in 48 h ( P

Tibetan medicineLiu-Wei Mu-Xiang(LWMX) pill, a traditional compound medicine, has special therapeutic effects in the treatment of gastrointestinal anabrosis, especially chronic gastric ulcer. It has been widely applied in the clinics in Tibetan region. Nevertheless, the current standards for quality control are insufficient and incomplete, which makes it difficult to ensure its quality. This review focused on two closely related perspectives, which were the effective material basis and quality control, to summarize and review the recent advancement in relevant studies. This review also pointed out that the burning questions for Tibetan medicine standards were the origin confusion and“different medicines with the same name”. It offered meaningful suggestions for the consideration to improve its quality standards.

Objective To study basic thyroid stimulating hormone (bTSH) levels impact on outcomes of in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) in Qinghai.Methods Totally 282 cases with IVF cycles and 93 cases with ICSI cycles were studied prospectively,according to bTSH level,patients were divided into four groups.Reproduction rate,clinical pregnancy rate,miscarriage rate and live birth rate were studied among four groups.Results (1) In 375 cases with IVF/ICSI cycles,bTSH was positively correlated with abortion rate (r=0.42,P=0.04),but live birth rate and growing rate showed negative correlations with bTSH (r=-0.42,-0.28; P=0.04,0.03).bTSH and the number of eggs,the number of fertilized eggs,the number of embryos,biochemical pregnancy rate,and clinical pregnancy rate were no significant correlation (all P＞0.05).(2) Among women at group of ≤1.7,＞1.7 and ≤2.5,＞2.5 and ≤3.5,＞3.5 mU/L,the implantation rates were 28.7％,27.3％,37.7％ and 19.2％,live birth rates were 80.9％,75.0％,82.7％,and 59.8％,abortion rates were 19.0％,15.0％,16.7％,40.1％; they all showed significant difference (all P＜0.05).Abortion rate in women with high bTSH level was higher than that of women with lower bTSH level,however implantation rate,live birth rate in women with high bTSH level were lower.Conclusion When bTSH level is ＞3.5 mU/L,the abortion rate were increased,but live birth rate,rate of implantation were decreased.

Objective To evaluate the feasibility of contrast material on image quality of coronary CT angiography (CCTA)by using double injection technology and iterative reconstruction.Methods 120 patients with suspected coronary heart disease who underwent CCTA were randomly divided into two groups.Then,60 patients with 30 kg/m2>BMI≥25 kg/m2 were averagely divided into A1 and B1 groups,and other 60 ones with BMI<25 kg/m2 were also averagely divided into A2 and B2 groups.The patients in group A were scanned with 120 kV tube output and iolromide 350 mg I/mL,and the images were reconstructed using filtered back projection (FBP).Meanwhile,the patients in group B were scanned with 80 kV or 100 kV tube output and 245 mg I/mL or 280 mg I/mL of contrast media (BMI≥25 kg/m2 )using double injection technology,and the images were reconstructed using adaptive iterative dose reduction 3D (AIDR 3D).The effective radiation dose (ED)of each patient was also calculated.CT attenuation of the main proximal vessels (ascending or descending aorta,pulmonary artery,RCA,LM,LAD and LCX)and the obj ective image quality (SD,CNR and SNR)were measured,and the subj ective evaluation was also assessed by an experienced radiologist.Results There was significant differences in mean image quality scores,SD,SNR and CNR of ascending aorta between group A1 and B1(P<0.05),but no difference in the SI of values (P>0.05).There was no significant difference in mean image quality scores between group A2 and B2 (P>0.05), however,there were significant differences in the SI,SD of values and SNR,CNR of ascending aorta (P<0.05).The values of BMI were negatively related to the values of CT in ascending aorta between two subgroups (r=-0.66 and -0.441,P<0.05).The values of weight were not related to the values of CT in ascending aorta (P>0.05).There was significant difference in effective dose between subgroups (P<0.05).Conclusion The method with a combination of iterative reconstruction and a contrast material of 245 mg I/mL using double inj ection technology can improve the contrast enhancement without impairing image quality.
