The prevalence of patent foramen ovale (PFO) in adults is up to 20%-25%.PFO is associated with cryptogenic stroke in young patients, transient ischemic attack and several other diseases.Echocardiography plays a critically important role in screening of PFO,guidance during percutaneous intervention and follow up.The diagnosis of PFO by echocardiography were reviewed in this article.

Objective To quantitatively evaluate left ventricular layer-specific strain using speckle tracking imaging, and their relationship with age and gender in nornal subj ects. Methods GE Vivid E9 equipment with EchoPAC BT1 2 workstation were used. One hundred and nineteen healthy subj ects were enrolled in this study. Results Left ventricular global longitudinal and circumferential strain was highest in the endocardium and lowest in the epicardium.Longitudinal and circumferential 3-layer strain was highest in the apex and lowest in the base.Age and gender had little influence on the left ventricular layer-specific strain. Conclusions Speckle tracking imaging can quantitatively assess left ventricular layer-specific strain, providing another useful modality for evaluating cardiac function.

Objective To evaluate right ventricular (RV) global and regional systolic function using real-time three-dimensional echocardiography (RT-3DE) in patients with pulmonary hypertension (PH).Methods Thirty patients with PH and 27 controls were studied.RT-3DE images were acquired on a Philipa iE33 system with an X3-1 probe, then analyzed with a new software(TomTec) to determine RV global and regional (inflow, body, outflow) end-diastolic volume (EDV), end-systolic volume (ESV), stroke volume (SV) and ejection fraction (EF).The difference of RT-3DE parameters between the two groups,as well as the correlation between RT-3DE and routine echoeardiography parameters was analyzed. Results In patients with PH ,RV global and regional EDV and ESV were significantly higher than those in normal controls (all P <0.05); RV global and regional EF were significantly lower than those in normal controls (all P <0.05).In the PH group, RV inflow EDV,SV and EF were higher than that of RV body and outflow part (P < 0.05) ;RV global EF was lower than that of RV inflow part and higher than that of RV body and outflow part.In the PH group, RV global and inflow EF correlated with pulmonary artery systolic pressure negatively (r = - 0.611, P <0.001 and r = - 0.576, P = 0.001 ,respectively) ,and with the ratio of peak velocity of tricuspid regurgitation over outflow time-velocity integral negatively (r = -0.772, P = 0.002and r = -0.721, P <0.001, respectively)Conclusions RV global and regional volume was enlarged and systolic function was impaired in patients with pulmonary hypertension.RV global and regional systolic function was changed in liner relationship with RV after-load.

Chinese Medical Ethics 1994;0(05):-
There are many medical students who make artificial data in their scientific research and scientific paper. Therefore,it's very urgent to carry on the ethical education of scientific research to medical students. This article tries to make some ethical discussion on the responsibility of the scientific research monality of medical students.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2014;34(9):915-918
We summarized our accumulated clinical and teaching experiences and explored the regularity of acupuncture needling and teaching. It is of great importance in pressing hand during inserting needle. Stroking and pressing are two crucial parts which deserve more attention, and seldom useage of pressing hand should be abolished. Operating hand needs practice before inserting needle, while it should fully relaxed during inserting. Blending "touching", "stretch" "gathering" "erupting" and "advancing" in single moment, applying appropriate dynamic mode of inserting needle such as "join 3 forces as one" "3 points in a line" expertly and naturally. In addition, enough attention should be paid on "altering direction" and "shifting point". Inserting deftly and powerfully, no/slight sensation, deqi when inserting needle are the highest reflection as an acupuncturist.

Peptide cyclization, a pivotal approach to modifying linear precursors of proteins and pepticles, has been used to enhance their biological activities and serum stabilities. Recently, sortase A (SrtA) from Staphyloccus aureus becomes a promising new technology for efficiently incorporating site specific modifications into proteins, conjugating the cell surface and cyclizing the linear peptides. In this study, we constructed two recombinant expression systems, one with chitin binding domain and the other with six-histidine tag and chitin binding domain on the N-terminal of SrtA, separately. The results of enzymatic kinetics indicate that the two recombinant tags do not impair the transpeptidase activity of SrtA compared with the standard reaction reported under the same reaction condition. The two synthesized peptides with N-ternimal three glycines and C-terminal penta-amino acid motif, LPETG, were cyclized using immobilized and recycled SrtA. The SrtA-based cyclization promises to represent a simple method for easy and efficient enzymatic synthesis of large cyclic peptides.

Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2015;50(5):565-568
The PET tracer 5-([11C]methyloxy)-L-tryptophan (5-(11)CMTP) was prepared by nucleophilic fluorination and alkylation reaction via a two-step procedure in order to develop specific tumor probe. The biodistribution and microPET imaging of 5-(11)CMTP were executed. The results unveiled that the overall radiochemical yield with no decay correction was (14.6 ±7.2) %, the radiochemical purity was more than 95% and high uptake and long retention time of 5-(11)CMTP in liver, kidney and blood were observed but low uptake in brain and muscle were found, furthermore, high uptake of 5-(11)CMTP in tumor tissue was observed. It seems that 5-(11)CMTP will be a potential amino acid tracer for tumors imaging with PET.

Chinese Archives of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery 2006;0(03):-
OBJECTIVE To investigated the impact of age,sex and season on the morbidity of allergic rhinitis(AR)and noninfectious, nonallergic rhinitis(NINA).METHODS The clinical data of the patients with AR and NINA was analyzed from Oct.2003 to Oct.2005.Factors such as age, sex, etc were taken into consideration.RESULTS The highest morbidity age of AR was 10~19 years, and that of NINA was 30~39 years. The morbidity of allergic rhinitis in men was higher than that in women before 20 years old, while there was no sexual difference of nonallergic rhinitis.About 61.6% of patients diagnosed with AR developed their condition before 20 years old, about 66.5% of patients diagnosed with NINA developed their condition after 20 years old.The number of patients with AR increased markedly from July to November, while there was no seasonal diversity of NINA. CONCLUSION There were obviously differences between AR and NINA of age,sex and seasons, which implied different pathologic mechanism between these two types.
