Objective To investigate the relationship between proliferative diabetic retinopathy and E-selectin level .Meth-ods Ninty-two patients with diabetic retinopathy were divided into two groups based on the results of fundus fluorescence angiography :basic diabetic retinopathy (BDR) group, and proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR) group.Body mass index (BMI), fasting blood-glucose (FPG), total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c), systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure ( DBP) , and E-selectin levels of two groups were determined and compared .Results Compared with normal control group, the BDR and PDR group soluble E-selectin (sE-sel), FPG, HbA1c levels were increased significantly ( P <0.05).There was no significant difference in the SBP, DBP, BMI, TC, and TG levels in BDR group compared with control group ( P >0.05).The level of E-sel was positively correlated with HbA 1c and FBG in diabetic retinopathy patients .Conclusions High levels of sE-sel, HbA1c, and FPG were the important risk factors for diabetic retinopathy , and were closely related to the severity of PDR .Detection of serum sE-sel and HbA1c will help to predict the severity and prognosis of diabetic retinopathy .

Objective To evaluate the clinical effects of endobronchial ultrasound - transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) in the evaluation of staging of lung cancer.Methods Between July 2008 to March 2010,the first 128 patients selected by CT or PET/CT scanning with lung cancer in whom metastatic carcinoma in the hilar and/or mediastinal lymph nodes underwent EBUS-TBNA and were clinically followed up.There were 102 males and 26 femals with the age of 37 - 85 years,average 60.1 years.Review the performance in check and the result of biopsy.Results From 128 patients of mean age 60.1 years ( range 37 - 85 ),189 lymph nodes were punctured.The mean diameter of the nodes was 12.3 mm and the range was 6-16 mm.There were no procedural complications.Accuracy,sensitivity,and specificity for EBUS-TBNA were 98.53％,98.50％,and 100％,respectively.Conclusion EBUS-TBNA allows real-time visualization of mediastinal and hilar lymph nodes,allowing sampling safely and efficiently.It has great potential for diagnosis of staging of lung cancer.

Objective:To study the clinical feasibility of transplanting human neural stem cells in treatment of cerebellar atrophy (CA).Methods:The cells from human fetal cerebellum(8-10 weeks gestation) were expanded in vitro and were allowed to differentiate into neurospheres,the latter were then implanted into CA dentate nuclei with stereotactic operation in 21 CA patients(8 male and 13 female with age ranging 19-71,mean 46) from Feb. 2000 to Aug. 2003. Results:The cells of fetal cerebellum were expanded by 10 7 folds in undifferentiated state. The effective rates were 61.9% 3 months after transplantation,85.7% 6 months after transplantation, and 90.4% during a follow-up of 12-28 months (mean 18 months).Conclusion:It is feasible and effective to implant the neural stem cells expanded in vitro for treatment of CA,but the long-term effectiveness should be futher observed.

Objective: To analyze the detection rate of sleep problems such as sleep delay and deficiency in preschool children in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River in China,and to provide the reference for the standard of sleeping mode among preschool students. Methods: From October to November 2017, a questionnaire survey was conducted among 27 200 preschool children in 11 cities in Hubei, Anhui and Jiangsu provinces in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River in China. Epidemiology of sleep delays, deficiencies and sleep patterns in preschool children was described. Results: The detection rate of sleep problems in preschool children in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River was 15.3%. Taking the length of sleep and bedtime as the main analysis points, it was found that the average sleeping time point of each age group was 21:31, and the detection rate of bedtime delay was 86.5%. The average length of sleep was (10.60±1.12) hours. The detection rate of sleep deprivation in preschool children was 15.7%. Sleep delay was positively correlated with girls, age increase and parents’ higher educational level (P<0.05), and negatively correlated with living in the city, non-only child and bedroom without TV (P<0.01) .The detection rate of sleep deprivation was positively correlated with children of high age group (4yearold group：OR=1.32，95%CI=1.19-1.46；5-year-old group：OR=2.10，95%CI=1.91-2.32；6-year-old group：OR=2.47，95%CI=2.20-2.77)(P<0.01), and negatively correlated with no TV in bedroom (OR=0.91，95%CI=0.84-0.98) and no light in sleep (OR=0.87，95%CI=0.78-0.97)(P<0.05). Conclusion Preschool children sleep delay and sleep deprivation and other sleep problems are more prominent, affected by family environment and other factors.
