1.Expression of annexin A1 in tissues of colorectal carcinoma and its clinical pathological significance

Objective To investigate the expression of Annexin A1 proteins in colorectal cancer tissues and the relationship be-tween it and clinicopathologic features of colorectal cancer.Methods The surgical specimens from 48 cases of colorectal cancer,36 cases of adjacent tissues,15 cases of adenoma polyp were used to be examined expression of Annexin A1 immunohistochemical method.Results The positive expression rate of Annexin A1 in cancer tissue(64.6%)was significantly higher than those in adja-cent tissues(38.8%)and adenoma polyp tissues(40.0%)(P<0.05).The adjacent tissues and adenoma polyp tissues with positive Annexin A1 expression showed mild to severe atypical hyperplasia.The positive rates of Annexin A1 were significantly lower in the well-differentiated adenocarcinoma,tumor size of <5 cm,with no metastasis to lymphnodes and no invasion to surrounding tissues of colorectal cancer than those in the moderately or poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma,tumor size of ≥5 cm,with metastasis to lymphnodes and invasion in surrounding tissues(P<0.05).Conclusion The expression levels of Annexin A1 may be an important index of occurrence,progression and biological behaviors of colorectal carcinoma.
2.Stochastic Initiation and Propagation of Intracellular Ca~(2+) Wave in Cardiac Myocytes

The Ca2+ wave is a chain reaction of intracellular Ca2+ release channels through a Ca2+-induced Ca2+ release mechanism. In cardiac myocytes, Ca2+ wave has drawn much attention because it is found to induce arrhythmia genesis. To investigate the microscopic process of wave propagation, Ca2+ imaging was performed with high spatial and temporal resolution via a laser-scanning confocal microscope combined with loose-seal patch clamp. These observation and analysis revealed that Ca2+ waves originated from a stochastic recruiting of Ca2+ release units (CRUs) by a pioneer Ca2+ spark, which had a low possibility in normal cells. During wave propagation, the 'waiting' time that the wave propagate between two neighboring CRUs along propagation direction distributed normally, and cells with a lower speed had a more dispersive distribution of 'waiting' time. To study the cause of the randomicity, the wave propagation was simulated with a numerical model. The simulation showed that the intrinsic stochastic open process of CRUs can fully explain the above phenomenon. Increasing the maximal open probability of CRUs reduced the randomness of wavefront propagation and enhanced the average velocity of wave meantime. These experimental and numerical results provided an unequivocal quantification for the stochastic behavior of wave initiation and propagation.

4.A Comparative Study on Effects of Exercise Intensity and Duration on Left and Right Ventricular

Objective To examine the effects of exercise intensity and duration on the structure,function and fibrosis of the left and right ventricular,and to discuss the potential mechanism in these processes.Methods Forty-eight male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into a sedentary(Sed)group,a moderate exercise(ME)group and an intensive exercise(IE) group,each of 16.Rats in Sed group were not given any training,while those in ME group and IE group run on treadmill at the speed of 15.2 m/min with the slope gradient of 5° and 28 m/min with the slope gradient of 10 degree 1 hour per day,5 days per week.Eight and 16 weeks after the training,we recorded the body weight and measure end-diastolic diameter,end-diastolic wall thickness,and ejection fraction of both ventriculars using the ultrasonic testing.All rats were then sacrificed after blood sampling.Elisa was used to measure serum cTnI concentration,and sirius red staining was applied to evaluate collagen volume fraction of both ventriculars.Results Eight or sixteen weeks after the training,the average bi-ventricular end-diastolic diameter of ME and IE rats was bigger than Sed group.There were no differences in end-diastolic diameter of both ventricular between ME group and IE group after sixteen-week training,but the left ventricular end-diastolic diameter of IE group was greater than ME group.As exercise intensive increased and time accumulated,the end-diastolic wall thickness of both ventriculars increased but without statistical significance.At sixteen-week intervention,the bi-ventricular ejection fraction of IE rats was significantly lower than Sed and ME groups,while there was a decreasing trend eight weeks earlier without significant differences.After 8 or 16 weeks of training,the serum cTnI was significantly higher in IE rats than Sed group or ME group,but there was no significant differences between ME group and Sed group.After 16 weeks' exercises,the average bi-ventricular collagen volume fraction of ME or IE group was greater than that after 8 weeks' exercises.The average collagen volume fraction of the right ventricular was greater than Sed group at the same time points,and after sixteenweek training the right ventricular collagen volume fraction in IE group was significantly greater than ME group.However,there were no significant differences in the measurement of the left side among different groups.The serum cTnI was negatively correlated with the left and right ventricular systolic function(r=-0.327,P=0.029 and r=-0.582,P=0.000).Moreover,it was positively correlated with the right ventricular collagen volume fraction moderately,but had no correlation with the left ventricular collagen volume fraction.Conclusion(1)Sixteen-week moderate and intensive exercise result in left ventricular dilation,and the dilation increases with the increase of the exercise intensity.Only 8 weeks' exercise at the same intensity can lead to right ventricular dilation,but exercise intensity has little influence on the right ventricular dilation.(2)Long-term moderate or intensive endurance exercises may cause bi-ventricular hypertrophy potentially.The left ventricular hypertrophy and dilation may not be synchronous with hypertrophy followed by dilation,while the right ventricular hypertrophy and dilation is synchronous.(3)The temporary decrease in bi-ventricular systolic function after intensive endurance exercise may be caused by ventricular injury,with more serious injury in the right ventricular than in the left.Moderate exercises don't cause ventricular injury,thus there is little or no influence on ejection fraction.(4) Long-term (8 or 16 weeks)moderate or intensive endurance exercises can increase the right ventricular collagen volume fraction,which may indicate cardiac fibrosis following right ventricular injury but not in the left ventricular.The bi-ventricular collagen volume fraction at sixteenth week in ME and IE rats are greater than corresponding rats at eighth week.It may result from the hypertrophy of bi-ventricular cardiomyocyte after 8-week training,followed by increase in the extracellular matrix but not cardiac fibrosis.
5.Clinical research on systemic chemotherapy concurrent whole brain radiotherapy for brain metastases from non-small cell lung cancer

Objective To explore the feasibility and safety of systemic chemotherapy concurrent whole brain radiotherapy (WBRT) for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with brain metastases.Methods Eighty cases of NSCLC patients with brain metastases were divided into observation group (40 cases) and the control group (40 cases) according to random number table.Patients were given systemic chemotherapy synchronous WBRT or sequential WBRT.Results The Ⅰ-Ⅳ degree leukocytopenia incidences of the two groups were 12.5%,25.0%,25.0%,0.0 and 30.0%,25.0%,12.5%,15.0%,and there was statistical significance (x2 =12.12,P < 0.05).In the observation group,the total remission rate was 20% (8/40),and it was 22.5% (9/40) in the control group,with no significant difference (x2 =1.79,P > 0.05).The median progression free survival of the observation group and of the control group were (3.5 ± 2.3) months and (3.6 ±1.1) months,respec-tively,with no significant difference (t =5.23,P > 0.05).But the 1-years survival rate in the observation group was 37.5% (15/40),significantly higher than that in the control group (17.5%,7/40),which had statistical significance (x2 =9.11,P < 0.05).Conclusion The safety of systemic chemotherapy synchronous WBRT for NSCLC patients with brain metastases is higher,with good curative effect and strong application feasibility.
6.Study on the treatment of children dependent on network game of psychological intervention combined with drug

Objective To study the curative effect of psychological intervention combined with drug treatment of children addicted to the network game.Methods One hundred and twelve children addicted to the network game were selected,who were admitted to the outpatient department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical University from Feb.2009 to Oct.2013 were selected,according to the admission time sequence,they were randomly divided into drug treatment group,psychological intervention group(as control group) and psychological intervention combined with drug therapy group(test group).Each of the control groups had 38 cases of patients,while treatment group had 36 cases.Drug treatment group was treated with oral Fluoxetine Hydrochloride Capsules 10 mg,1 time/d; the psychological intervention group was given the general psychological conversation,until discharged from the hospital; the test group adopted the cognitive restructuring,imagine the debate,self suggestion,remind yourself of cognitive therapy and behavior contract,behavior reinforcement,behavior extinction,aversive stimulus,self-regulation of behavior therapy combined with drug therapy.Respectively,before treatment,2 weeks,4 weeks and 8 weeks after the end of the treatment,Chinese Internet Addiction Scale,Coping Style Questionnaire (CSQ) and symptom checklist 90 (SCL-90) of each factor were evaluated.Results By the end of the 2 weeks and 8 weeks after the treatment,CIAS scores in the treatment group were significantly lower than that in drug therapy and psychological intervention group,the differences were statistically significant (t =2.49,2.03,all P < 0.05 ; t =2.72,2.72,all P < 0.01) ; scores of 3 factors of fantasy,self accusation and retreat in CSQ group in coping style questiennaire in the coping style questionnaire in the treatment group were lower than those in control groups,the differences were statistically significant (t =3.99,3.78,2.15,all P < 0.05; t=2.64,4.20,3.72,all P < 0.01); the problem solving,help seeking factor in the test group were higher than those in the control groups,the differences were statistically significant (t =2.69,2.43,5.31,2.25; all P < 0.01) ; variation test combined physicochemical factors scores at different stages had on difference comparison of those in the 2 control groups (all P > 0.05).Comparison of the SCL-90 score between the test group and the 2 control groups,the differences were statistically significant (t =5.05,4.31,all P < 0.01).There was no significant difference of the scores between the 2 control groups (all P > 0.05).Conclusions Psycholoical intervention therapy including cognitive therapy,behavior therapy combined with drug treatment have good effect on children's addiction to Web games.
7.Study on HPLC fingerprint of Pollen Typhae

bjective:To study and establish the fingerprint of Pollen Typhae.Methods:Hypersil BDS C18(5?m,4.6mm?250mm) chromatographic column mobile phase acetonitrile-0.1 % phosphoric acid solution(10:90)with fiow rate of 1.0 ml/min and UV detector at 254 nm.ResultsTaking Isorhamnetin-3-O-neohesperidoside as the reference peak,11 common peaks were selected as the fingerprint peaks of Pollen Typhae,Technology investigation indicated that the analytical method this study established has desirable precision,reproducibility,and stability.The similarity of Pollen Typhae fingerprints from different batches is better.Conclusion HPLC fingerprint analysis can be a method for quality control of medical material of Pollen Typhae.
8.Single nucleotide polymorphisms and haplotypes of MBL gene in Han and Hui ethnic children of Han and Hui ethnics

Objective To analyze the single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) in promoter region,5' untranslated region,exon 1 and haplotypes of mannose binding-lectin(MBL) gene in Han nationality and Hui etheic children in China.Methods Sixty nine Hui ethnic children from Ningxia Huizu Auto.Reg.and 105 Han children from Zhejiang Prov.were enrolled in the present study.Whole blood samples(1.5 ml) were collected into potassium-EDTA tubes.SNPs in promoter region,5' untranslated region and exon 1 of MBL gene were determined by sequence analysis using BigDye Mix 3730 genetic analyzer,and genetic analysis was performed using SHEsis software.Results The variant allele frequencies at-221 sites in Han and Hui objects were 0.091 and 0.123,respectively,with no difference between the two groups(?2=0.684,P=0.408).No mutation was found at sites +223 and +239 in exon 1 of MBL gene in the study.The variant frequency at +230 site in Hui children(0.268) was significantly higher than that in Han objects(0.167,?2=5.223,P=0.022).The most common haplotype was YA,and the frequencies of YA haplotype in Han and Hui ethnic were 0.770 and 0.669,respectively,with significant difference between the two groups(?2=4.312,P=0.038).Conclusion The variant allele frequency at +230 sites in exon 1 in Hui ethnic children is higher than that in Han subjects.The most common haplotype is YA,and the frequency of YA haplotype is higher in Han children than that in Hui subjects.
9.Posterior hemivertebra resection and instrumentation correction in the treatment of congenital scoliosis

[Objective]To evaluate the clinical results of posterior hemivertebra resection and correction with transpedicular instrumentation for congenital scoliosis.[Method]From July 2002 to December 2006,thirty-nine consecutive cases,including 22 males and 17 females,underwent posterior hemivertebra resection and correction using transpedicular instrumentation.The average age at surgery was 8.3 years ranging from 3 to 15 years.There were 30 cases with fully segmented hemivertebra and 9 cases with partial segmented hemivertebra.Instrument included 16 cases of ISOLA,10 cases of CD-Horizon,10 cases of Moss-Miami and 3 cases of TSRH.The pre-and post-operative standing radiographic and at final follow-up were measured,and the Cobb's angles in the coronal and sagittal plane were analyzed,respectively.[Result]The average follow-up was 2.8 years ranging from 1 to 4.5 years.The Cobb's angle in coronal plane was corrected from 48? to 13?postoperatively and 13.2? at final follow-up,representing 70.2% correction rate.The kyphosis was corrected from 39? to 12.1? postoperatively and 12.7? at final follow-up,representing 68.7% correction rate.All cases had bony fusion,there was no neurological complication,no implant failure or infection.One case had crankshaft phenomenon.[Conclusion]Posterior hemiveterbra resection with instrumentation is a safe and effective treatment option for congenital scoliosis.Congenital scoliosis should be treated in early age.
10.Real-time quantitative PCR in detection of neonatal sepsis

Objective To explore a rapid diagnostic method in neonatal sepsis and bacterial me- ningitis. Methods The primers and TaqMan probes were designed and synthesized based on the sequences of bacterial 16S rRNA gene. Nineteen bacterial strains, 3 different viruses, fungus and human genomic DNA were tested by FQ-PCR assay. Blood specimens and CSF from 195 cases of suspected septicemia were detected with both TaqMan PCR assay and blood or/and CSF culture. Results The FQ-PCR showed very high sensitivity and specificity and was able to detect at least 10 copies of 16S rRNA gene equivalent to 1~2 copies bacterium. No cross-reaction was found with human genomic DNA, other fungus and viruses. Among the 195 cases, the positive rate by FQ-PCR was 12.8%(25 cases) and 7.1%(15 cases) by blood culture ( P
