Objective To study the abnormalities in defecation of patient after laparoscopic cholecystectomy as well as the influencing factors. Method A self-designed questionnaire and the anxiety self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) were used to investigate the defecation conditions of patients after laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Results About 40.78% of the patients were normal in defecation after the surgery. Among those with abnormalities in postoperative defecation, 30.16%had diarrhea. The influenced factors included age, preoperative gallbladder function, daily diets and anxiety. Conclusions The abnormalities in defecation of the patients after laparoscopic cholecystectomy are common. The patients with young age, the gallbladder function before laparoscopic cholecystectomy and anxiety diet without limit need more attention.

Objective To observe the family cohesion, cancer pain sensation and belief-perception of patients with primary liver cancer and to analyze the correlations among them. Methods From December 2014 to December 2017, we selected 129 inpatients with primary liver cancer of the First Bethune Hospital of Jilin University as subjects by convenience sampling. The family cohesion, cancer pain sensation and belief-perception of patients were evaluated with the family adaptability and cohesion evaluation scale, second edition (FACESⅡ), Pain Intensity Numerical Rating Scale (PINRS) and Pain Beliefs and Perceptions Inventory (PBPI). Besides, Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlations among them. Results The scores of family cohesion and pain sensation of patients with primary liver cancer were (56.00±5.12) and (5.53±1.18) respectively. In pain belief and perception, the highest score was (1.35±0.05) in the dimension of "feeling pain is very mysterious". Pearson correlation analysis showed that primary liver cancer patients' family cohesion had negative correlations with cancer pain as well as the items of pain belief and perception (r=-0.426, -0.523,-0.434, -0.451, -0.420;P＜0.05). Conclusions The family cohesion of primary liver cancer patients is in a low level affecting the cancer pain sensation and belief-perception of patients, which suggests nurses attach importance to patients' family cohesion, encourage family members to pay attention to patients and increase communication so as to improve treatment effects of patients.

OBJECTIVETo compare the detection rates of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) DNA in the serum/plasma between apparently healthy adults (AHAs) and nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) patients in attempt to evaluate the efficiency of EBV DNA assay for serodiagnosis of NPC.

METHODSThe plasma and serum were obtained from 58 AHAs and 66 untreated NPC patients. EBV DNA W-fragment was detected using nested ploymerase chain reaction (PCR). Immunoenzymatic assay for titration of IgA-VCA was also adopted.

RESULTSEBV DNA detection rate (84.85%) in the plasma/serum of 66 NPC patients was significantly higher than that (10.34%) in 58 AHAs. The sensitivity of plasma/serum EBV DNA assay (0.8485) was higher than that (0.8030) of titrating IgA-VCA (positive criterion >/= 1:40) though the specificities of these two tests were the same (0.8966). The correct rate, predictive value of a positive test, and Odds ratio of dual positivity (0.8387, 0.9792 and 141.0, respectively) were higher than those of single positivity either to plasma/serum EBV assay (0.5242, 0.7333 and 1.1423, respectively) or to IgA-VCA >/= 1:40 test (0.4839, 0.5385 and 1.0480, respectively).

CONCLUSIONThe EBV DNA detection in the plasma/serum using nested PCR may be a useful indicator for serodiagnosis of NPC.

Dementia is a gradual degeneration of cognitive function caused by cerebral damage or diseases,which is far more serious than normal aging.Occurrence rate of dementia is rising year by year,which not only impairs severely the patients′physical and mental health and quality of life,but also brings about heavy nursing burden to families and society.In this article,the concept of dementia patients′engagement was introduced,together with its evaluation tools,and factors influencing their engagement degree,so as to provide new modes for caring of dementia patients in China.

Objective:To investigate the current status of career success of ICU nurses and analyze its influencing factors.Methods:Using the convenient sampling method, a total of 178 ICU nurses from 7 Class Ⅲ Grade A hospitals in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province from April to May 2021 were selected as the research objects. General questionnaire and Chinese version of Career Success Scale were used to conduct the survey through the questionnaire network platform.Results:A total of 178 electronic questionnaires were filled in and 167 valid electronic questionnaires were recovered. The total score of career success of ICU nurses was (35.68±6.07). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that gender of ICU nurses, whether they had regular specialized skills training, and the cooperative relationship of doctors and nurses in departments were the influencing factors of career success scores of nurses ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:The career success level of ICU nurses needs to be improved. It is recommended that nursing managers should clarify the career development path of nurses, broaden the career development space of nurses and enhance their professional autonomy and work enthusiasm.

Objective To understand the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of imported malaria cases admitted in Dalian and provide evidence for clinical diagnosis,treatment and control of the disease.Methods A retrospective analysis method was used to descriptively analyze the epidemiological data of 104 cases of imported malaria from 2013 to 2018 treated in Dalian Sixth People's Hospital.The clinical characteristics of 93 hospitalized patients (13 in the severe group and 80 in the non-severe group) were analyzed by t (t') test or Mann-Whitney U test.Results Among 104 cases of imported malaria,82 cases were falciparum malaria,5 cases were vivax malaria,4 cases were oval malaria,2 cases were quartan malaria,2 cases were mixed infections,and there were 9 cases without classification.The ratio of males to females was 16.33:1.00 (98:6).The age was (42.07 ± 11.07) years.There was no obvious seasonality in the onset time.We found 102 cases were come from Africa,and their main occupations were outbound workers or fishermen.After blood laboratory examination at admission between severe group and non-severe group,the differences of red blood cell (RBC),hematocrit (PCV),hemoglobin (Hb),serum creatinine (SCr),and blood urea nitrogen (BUN)were statistically significantly different (t =6.561,7.140,6.962;Z =-3.469,-3.739,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions In Dalian the falciparum malaria is the main infectious species in imported malaria cases,and Africa is the main area of infection.Outbound workers should be trained in malaria prevention and treatment in Africa.Early admission indicators (RBC,PCV,Hb,SCr,BUN) help clinicians to diagnosis and treat severe cases early.

Objective To investigate the effect of up-regulation of miR-132 on expressions of angiopoietin-1 (Ang-1)/endothelium-specific tyrosine kinase receptor 2 (Tie2) in focal cerebral ischemia reperfusion injury of rats.Methods Forty adult healthy SD rats were randomly divided into sham-operated group,cerebral ischemia group,miR-132 mimic group and negative control group (n=10).The models of middle cerebral artery occlusion in the later three groups were established by using modified Longa suture method.Rats in the miR-132 mimic group and negative control group were injected miR-132 mimic 15 μg and negative control 15 μg via paracele.Rats in each group were sacrificed 24 h after ischemia,and the brain tissues were collected;the total infarct volumes were calculated by TTC staining.The mRNA expressions ofmiR-132,Ang-1 and Tie2 in ischemic cerebral cortex tissues were detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR.The protein expressions of Ang-1,Tie2,CD31 and vessel endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in ischemic cerebral cortex tissues were detected by Western blotting.Results The total infarct volume in the miR-132 mimic group was (27.92±3.05) mm3,which was significantly smaller than that in the cerebral ischemia group and negative control group ([51.34±2.86] mm3 and [50.46±2.57] mm3,P＜0.05).The relative mRNA expression levels of miR-132,A ng-1,Tie2,and the protein expression levels of Ang-1,Tie2,CD31,VEGF in the ischemic cerebral cortex tissues of the miR-132 mimic group were significantly higher than those in the negative control group,cerebral ischemia group and sham-operated group (P＜0.05);and those in the negative control group and cerebral ischemia group were significantly higher than those in the sham-operated group (P＜0.05).Conclusion Up-regulation ofmiR-132 expression could improve the ischemic states of ischemic stroke in rats,which might be related to Ang-1/Tie2 increased expressions to promote angiogenesis in ischemic brain tissues.

Objective To develop a Psychological Birth Trauma Assessment Scale and to test its reliability and validity.Methods Through literature review,semi-structured interview,expert conference,Delphi expert enquiry and preliminary investigation,a pre-test scale was formed.From March to May 2023,postpartum women from 38 hospitals of different levels in 15 provinces(Jiangsu,Anhui,Zhejiang,Fujian,Tibet,and Shanghai,etc.)were conveniently selected for investigation.The sample size of the first-round survey was 547,which was used for reliability and validity test.The sample size of the second-round survey was 550,which was used for confirmatory factor analysis.Results The psychological birth trauma assessment scale consisted of 2 parts,with a total of 29 items in 6 dimensions.The intrapartum feeling part included 4 dimensions,with a cumulative variance contribution rate of 63.992％,and the postpartum effect part included 2 dimensions,with a cumulative variance contribution rate of 68.208％.The content validity index of the scale was 0.947,and the content validity index of each item was 0.809～1.000.The total score of the scale and the scores of each dimension were significantly negatively correlated with the total score of the calibration scale(r=-0.784～-0.533,P＜0.001).The total Cronbach's α coefficient was 0.941,and the split-half reliability coefficient was 0.883.Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the main evaluation indicators were all within the acceptable range.Conclusion The Psychological Birth Trauma Assessment Scale has good reliability and validity,and it can be used as an assessment tool for the degree of maternal psychological birth trauma.

OBJECTIVE To provide reference for quality control of Gentiana rhodantha. METHODS Taking 52 batches of G. rhodantha as subject， ultra-high performance liquid chromatography （UPLC） fingerprint was adopted. The similarity of 52 batches of medicinal materials samples was evaluated by the Similarity Evaluation System for Chromatographic Fingerprints of Traditional Chinese Medicine （2004A edition）； the content of mangiferin was determined； chemometric analyses [cluster analysis， principal component analysis （PCA） and orthogonal partial least squares-discriminant analysis （OPLS-DA）] were performed. RESULTS UPLC fingerprints of 52 batches of G. rhodantha were established， 17 common peaks were identified， and 6 of them were identified， which were loganic acid （peak 1）， neomangiferin （peak 3）， swertiamarin （peak 5）， dangyin （peak 6）， mangiferin （peak 7） and isoorientin （peak 9）. The similarities of 52 batches of medicinal materials samples were all greater than 0.9； cluster analysis showed that S1-S46， S48-S52 clustered into one class， and S47 alone； PCA results showed that the cumulative variance contribution rate of the first six principal components was 82.928%； OPLS-DA results showed that the corresponding components of swertiamarin， mangiferin and chemical composition represented by peak 4， 14， 15， 16 were the main iconic components affecting the quality differences of G. rhodantha medicinal materials. The contents of mangiferin in 52 batches of medicinal material samples ranged from 18.2 to 101.0 mg/g， mostly in accordance with 2020 edition of Chinese Pharmacopoeia. CONCLUSIONS The established UPLC fingerprint and chemometric analysis methods combined with content determination method of mangiferin can comprehensively evaluate the quality of G. rhodantha.

BACKGROUND: There are few multi-city studies on the association between temperature and mortality in basin climates. This study was based on the Sichuan Basin in southwest China to assess the association of basin temperature with non-accidental mortality in the population and with the temperature-related mortality burden. METHODS: Daily mortality data, meteorological and air pollution data were collected for four cities in the Sichuan Basin of southwest China. We used a two-stage time-series analysis to quantify the association between temperature and non-accidental mortality in each city, and a multivariate meta-analysis was performed to obtain the overall cumulative risk. The attributable fractions (AFs) were calculated to access the mortality burden attributable to non-optimal temperature. Additionally, we performed a stratified analyses by gender, age group, education level, and marital status. RESULTS: A total of 751,930 non-accidental deaths were collected in our study. Overall, 10.16% of non-accidental deaths could be attributed to non-optimal temperatures. A majority of temperature-related non-accidental deaths were caused by low temperature, accounting for 9.10% (95% eCI: 5.50%, 12.19%), and heat effects accounted for only 1.06% (95% eCI: 0.76%, 1.33%). The mortality burden attributable to non-optimal temperatures was higher among those under 65 years old, females, those with a low education level, and those with an alternative marriage status. CONCLUSIONS Our study suggested that a significant association between non-optimal temperature and non-accidental mortality. Those under 65 years old, females, and those with a low educational level or alternative marriage status had the highest attributable burden.
