Objective To investigate the influencing factors of strain ratio(SR) value in differential diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid nodules by using real-time tissue elastosonography (RTE).Methods One hundred and seventy-one patients with a total of 171 thyroid nodules were analyzed retrospectively.Their images, including 2D ultrasound, color Doppler flow imaging (CDFI) and RTE were reviewed and conventional ultrasonic features (including the maximum diameter, composition, shape, magin, calcification, intranodular blood flow, depth) and SR value were recorded.Receiver-operating characteristic (ROC) curve was employed to assess the diagnostic efficiency of SR value in differentiating malignant nodules from benign ones.Firstly, the correlation between the aforementioned factors and SR value was assessed by using malignant lesions as the research subjects. And then, the multiple linear regressions (MLR) was employed to evaluate the influence of particular features which turned out to be an important disturbing factor affecting SR value of the lesion in the first step of analysis and pathological type in all nodules (benign and malignant) on SR value. Results With a cut-off point of SR value 3.67,the sensitivity and specificity of SR value in differential diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid nodules was 85.6% and 81.1 %,respectively, and the area under ROC curve was 0.891.Correlation between the maximum diameter and calcification and SR value was significant(r =0.345 and 0.261 respectively,P <0.05).However,there was no significant correlation between other features(5 factors) and SR value(P ≥0.05).MLR indicated that the maximum diameter, calcification and the type of pathology of the nodule were associated with SR value (P < 0.05).Among them, pathological nature was the most significant impact factor with a standardized coefficient 0.494).Conclusions SR value can be used to evaluate the hardness of thyroid nodules semi-quantitatively.Its value mainly depends on the pathological nature of the nodules. The maximum diameter and calcification are also the influencing factors of SR value. However, the composition, shape, margin, intranodular blood flow and depth have no obvious effect on SR value.

Objective To evaluate the molluscicidal effect of niclosamide ethanolamine salt powder?granula(PG)against Oncomelania hupensis. Methods The molluscicidal experiment was carried out by the dusting method with niclosamide etha?nolamine salt 4%PG. The experiments were respectively done in the laboratory and the tidal flats wetlands. At the same time , the niclosamide ethanolamine salt 4%dustable powder(DP)was as the control group. The single blind method was used for the quality control. The corrected mortality and the median lethal concentration(LC50)were compared between PG and DP in the molluscicidal experiment of the laboratory. The corrected mortality and the reduced rate of snails’density were compared be?tween PG and DP in the tidal flats wetlands. Results The mortality rates of the snails were 96.67%and 100%respectively on 1 d after dusting 4.0 g/m2 of 4% PG and 2.0 g/m2 of 4% DP in the laboratory. The results showed that the mortality rates of the snails were higher with 4%DP than 4%PG in each dosage(t1 d=3.60,P<0.01). The LC50(s) of 1d,3 d,7 d after dusting the molluscicide also showed that the molluscicidal effects of DP were better than PG. The corrected mortality rates were 91.71%, 92.91%,90.57%,85.33%and 71.09%,90.11%,90.13%,85.26%on 3 d,7 d,15 d,30 d after dusting with 4%PG and 4%DP,respectively,in the fields. Statistics showed that the mortality rates of snails were higher on 3 d,7 d after dusting with PG than DP(c23 d=731.57,c27 d=25.90,P<0.01),but there were no significant differences between PG and DP on 15d,30d af?ter dusting(c215 d=0.53,c230 d=0.01,P>0.05). Conclusions 4%PG has both the adsorption of powder and the penetrability of the granules. The molluscicidal effects of 4%PG and 4%DP are almost the same. However, the drift of the powder was still not effectively controlled. This problem need to be further studied.

Objective:To explore the incidence and risk factors of postoperative cardiovascular events in older orthopedic patients. Methods:The clinical data of 316 older patients undergoing orthopedic surgery from May 2018 to December 2021 in Xuanwu Hospital, Capital Medical University were retrospectively analyzed. The independent risk factors of postoperative cardiovascular events in elderly orthopedic surgery patients were analyzed. Results:Among the 316 elderly orthopedic surgery patients, 10 patients experienced postoperative cardiovascular events (event group), and 306 patients did not experience postoperative cardiovascular events (non-event group). There were no statistical differences in gender composition, age, operation method, American Association of Anesthesiologists (ASA) classification, operation time, postoperative hospital stay, nutritional status, weakness degree, ability of daily life (ADL) and the proportions of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) + coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) + old myocardial infarction (OMI), hypertension, diabetes, atrial fibrillation, old cerebral infarction, peripheral artery stenosis between two groups ( P>0.05). The proportion of coronary heart disease in event group was significantly higher than that in non-event group: 6/10 vs. 19.93% (61/306), and there was statistical difference ( P<0.01). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis result showed that coronary heart disease was the independent risk factor of postoperative cardiovascular complications in older orthopedic patients ( OR = 4.63, 95% CI 1.22 to 17.56, P<0.05). Conclusions:Accompanying coronary heart disease can increase the incidence of postoperative cardiovascular events in older orthopedic patients, but cardiovascular events do not prolong the length of hospital stay.
